Based on his recommendation during the estimate, I paid about $200 to have an electrical outlet relocated before the radon system was installed. The outlet ended up not being needed at all because the fan was installed in a completely different location. Even the technician suggested the original assessment was incorrect. When I brought this up, I wasn't asking to be reimbursed for the full amount. I simply requested a small $50 credit as a goodwill gesture. Justin refused. No apology, no accountability, and no effort to make things right after his recommendation caused me to spend money unnecessarily. Anyone can make a mistake. What separates good companies from bad ones is how they handle it. My experience was that once the contract was signed, customer satisfaction was no longer a priority. I won't be using this company again, and I wouldn't recommend them to friends or neighbors.

We called 5 companies for a quote and Brett returned our call within an hour and set up a time the next day to come look at our property. He showed up precisely on time the next day to give us a quote, and spent an hour explaining to us exactly what he would do. The quote was competitive, and we decided to use his services. He put us on his calendar for the next week, and again showed up on time. He worked extremely hard and our job was quite difficult since we also had to have our crawl space lined in addition to the installation of the radon system, but Brett did a great job, left our basement cleaner than it was when he arrived, and actually charged us a bit less than he quoted. Our general contractor recommended Scott and Enviro Excellence, and we are very glad he did. As others have mentioned here, Scott was a consummate professional: he was incredibly communicative, on-time, and very, very thorough. We appreciated that throughout the entire process, Scott was more than willing to explain what he was doing and why it mattered. He was required to take a number of samples from throughout our house, but did so in a way that was not overly disruptive and in a way that wouldn't look too bad in the stretch before any holes made get repaired (or completely ripped out). He met all timelines he promised for delivery of the results and was incredibly helpful in talking us through not only the results, but what they meant in terms of next steps around abatement. While we never wanted to get news that we had asbestos that needs to be taken care of, we were lucky to have Scott help us to understand what that meant even to recommend some people who could do the work to clean the asbestos up.
