Have been to our house 4 times to repair ice maker. First visit charged $385. 5 days later - no ice! Called and they came out about 10 days later. Was supposed to have ordered a "special part". Did not have part on 2nd visit but did get ice maker to work for 1 day. Called again and either they didn't answer or didn't call black from voicemail. Why this business has the name Professional in it is a mystery to me. Here is why. I made an appointment on a Monday and was given a date and time for Friday on the same week. A guy named Steve was suppose to do the installation.The guy never showed up and did not call. I left multiple voice messages on the appointment day to see if he as delayed and would be there later. No return call. Now, several days later I can report that he never showed up or the contacted me. ZERO STARS! DO NOT HIRE!!! SEEMS LIKE THERE ARE NO CONSEQUENCES FOR HIS ONGOING BAD SERVICE. NOTHING PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THIS BUSINESS. This guy is a scam artist along with his partner Matt. Called with what we needed done on a wall oven microwave. Steven assured us the job could be done. He sent Matt out within the week to look at the item, and Matt assured us the job was something familiar and could be done; also assured us they would keep us informed, by phone or text, regarding the progress of the repair. After taking our oven away, we didn't hear anything the first week and a half. We called, but to no avail for another week and a half. Finally, after we kept calling the number back to back to back, we got Steven to answer. He had a myriad excuses as to why he hadn't contacted us. Then he began telling us he was waiting for a part. Then silence another week and a half. We called, got not answer. We left multiple messages via telephone and text. No answer. Then finally a call from Matt stating he would be at our house with the repaired appliance, even giving us a time window. Never showed up after we rearranged our day. This went on for more weeks. Finally, Matt returned with our appliance stating "you'll probably get another ten years out of this". We made a request to see where the new part was placed, and was denied; we then asked to speak with Steven. Matt called Steven who also denied our request stating, "if you open the worked on space of the appliance, the warranty will be void. We tested our microwave and it worked while Matt was there. He was paid and he rushed off. Microwave stopped working three days later. We called since it should have been clearly under warranty. We were given another date and time that someone would return to assess the problem. We haven't seen or heard from anyone since. Don't know how he is still in business. His address is a PO Box. I've had several appliances needing either repair or replacement within the last couple of months. Each issue was fixed or replaced quickly. He really knows his stuff when it comes to appliances! I trust him when he says he can fix it...or, it would be a better idea to replace it since there are other parts that could fail and I may be wasting money fixing it...when it will need to be replaced in the not too distant future anyway. I have had a very positive experience with 2 dishwashers (one mine, one my Dad's)...a refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and garbage disposal. I purchased a dishwasher from Professional Appliance Repair in Palm Coast, FL. as Steven told me he could do a better deal and time frame than Home Depot or Lowes. This happened in February of 2023. Well, I should have trusted my gut and went with a reputable company. The dishwasher was installed and had a dent in the front door, I questioned it and he said he would order a new door. He did and installed it. Next came the electronic panel on the door came loose, after multiple unanswered texts and calls I called Whirlpool for warranty. The company authorized by Whirlpool came out and fixed. Two months later the dishwasher began to leak, again a warranty claim, they came out and stopped the leaking. Three months later the dishwasher began to leak again all over my kitchen floor and damaging my cabinets. The tech from the authorized Whirlpool repair came out and verified that the unit Steven had sold me was not a new unit. The whole inside tub was bent and the seal was broken. My bad for hiring Professional Appliance Repair to sell and install my $800 dishwasher last year. Thankfully, Whirlpool stepped up and gave me a brand new dishwasher installed by Flamingo Appliance Service. When the tech installed the new dishwasher found that Steven did not install the dishwasher correctly either and it had a water line inserted in the wrong place and was crimped causing the leaking. A neighbour had a problem with their drier at the same time my drier would not start. When I asked the neighbour, they told me they were waiting for the the repair man. So I figured they were trust-worthy and waited. My drier needed a door switch. And when their repairman arrived he said it was not the switch but the power outlet in the wall. When he left, the machine would start but if you open the door, it will keep running and he said that was the design of the drier. A long story. But I will never call them again. read more

This company is not only unprofessional but a rip off. They charge $75 for a diagnostic without even installing/testing the part they claim is the issue. How can you say what's wrong if you have not tested to see if that's what it is wrong? If they install the part and that's what's wrong with the wine cooler, the fee is $275 to keep such relay ($10 dollar part) with minimal labor. If they test it and we decide not to pay the $275, they charge $112.50 for taking the part out and trying a new one in. I am not an appliance repair lady but I am also not an idiot. Taking out a relay is unplugging 3 little connectors (pull out to disconnect and pull in to connect a new one), this takes maximum 1 minute. This company told us by phone that diagnostic was $75 and if they repaired the item the $75 was to be applied to the labor and part fee. This means that if I agreed to have the $10 relay replaced my fee was $275, which already included the $75 credit for the service call. Wow you tell me that a $10 part and a maximum of 10 minute labor costs $350? when we questioned the tech he got very loud and snippy and said he did not put the price that the company did and that he made the same amount of money no matter what at the end of the day because he was on a salary. How can you treat a customer with such disrespect and talk about the company you work for that way? This business is a scam! I called them on Tuesday September 7th to fix my broken water and ice maker in my refrigerator. Chandler ...the son of Steve the owner....came within an hour of calling....he looked at it and stated it needed a housing filter and that they called the office and yes they had the part in stock and would be back out on Friday September 10 between 9-1 to install it. The cost of the part was 214.48 and if I paid it now I was eligible for a 20%discount. The labor would be separate and that would be payable upon completion of the work on Friday.i paid by check and I was told they would send the invoice showing I paid the fee for the part and when I got it....I noticed that they showed that they had INSTALLED the part!!!! When the didn't call or show up on Friday I began calling. I called over 10times and left messages but they never returned the call. I then became aware of all the negative reviews all over the internet basically saying the same thing...they took money and either never completed the job, or never returned the calls asking why they were being ignored OR came and did do the job but it was overly priced and poor quality that then needed further work to fix. By Saturday afternoon I called the Flagler County Sheriff's office. In the presence of the deputy I called 3ore times and still no response from the messages I left. I then left a message stating that I had fcso in my house and I am going to press charges. The owner called me back within 10 seconds!!!!!! He claims he called me twice on Friday and left messages saying the part needed to be ordered and it wouldn't arrive until Monday. All of this is a lie as my phone has no record of receiving ANY calls from him or his company....I have NO voice mails from anyone on that day...and they had told me when they came to look at the refrigerator that they HAVE the part in stock!!!!! He asked whether or not I wanted them to do the work Monday!!!!!!! I said no way...what time will you be here TODAY to return my money since you are open until 6 according to your website....he hemmed and hawed and said he would need to get to bank on Monday...AND...he was charging me $85 for the service call!!!!!! So here are my words of warning...1...this is a scam. 2. Do not use Professional Appliance Repair, operated by Steven Konen. Steven came out and said the problem with my Bosch dishwasher was a bad motherboard, which he ordered and charged me $192.60. When he came back with the new motherboard, he told me there were no programming instructions in the box. He said he would come back when he got the instructions. I have been calling his number for the last nine days and leaving messages, because he will not answer my calls. Finally, after ten days I get a call from Autumn, who says she works for Steven. Autumn tells me that Steven says that I should call Bosch myself to get instructions how to program the motherboard. I am really disgusted with this answer, but I called the Bosch phone number Autumn gave me. The Bosch number was answered and I was told they are not trained to help callers with program issues. I shouldn't have to program anything, as that is what I hired Steven Konen to do. I believe he doesn't know how to program the motherboard and he is afraid to admit it. Called to find out why washer was leaking. First said a service call would be $45, and then changed ti to $35. Two guys showed up, one seemed to be apprenticing and got instructions from Stephen the main guy (owner?). He took the front cover off and the removed the top of washer. It took about 15 minutes and they decided the bearing was shot and showed me a rusty water spray underneath. He first said the bearing replacement part was $44 but then changed it and said they need a whole tub assembly kit which cost $140. He said labor on top of that would be another $100. So, $240 to fix the bearing. He agreed that it might be better to buy another machine. He said he had a washer he could sell me, and would get me data on it later. I never heard from him about the washer he said he could sell me. I called up once and wrote to his email address on his business card several times and he never got back to. I also wrote asking for the exact replacement part number, which he had looked up on his phone, and again he never got back to me. I did eventually find the tub seal assembly kit and it was $97 from a reputable source with a warranty. read more
