Twenty years ago, when my house was under construction, one of the framers dropped a roof sheathing clip (used to keep the plywood roof panels lined up) down the furnace chimney. Over all those years, that intrepid little clip worked its way down three stories, across three or four feet of nearly horizontal travel and three turns, and wound up jamming the inducer blower on my furnace. How do I know this? Because Kelly from Professional Heating and Air Conditioning found that clip at 6:00 AM on a 15-degree Saturday morning in February and got my furnace running again. 3 years later the evaporator coil this company installed had small leaks. They told us that many of their customers have complained to them about this very issue. They figured it was a defective coil from the supplier. The coil leaked all the coolant and the company had to come refill it with coolant and a dye to see if the coil was leaking. We had to pay $400 to repair this problem. Obviously the warranty had long expired on the part and labor, so we got charged for coolant, the new part, the dye and the labor. I'm very disappointed that this company KNEW that this part was defective from other customers complaints, yet they still insisted to bill us $400. Is this a scam they use on all of their customers? It seems like they didn't want to compensate us or offer any type of discount for this issue. At least offer us a couple of free tune ups or something! Disappointed big time!! read more

I have used Professional Heating and Air Conditioning since I built my home back in 2002. They did my original install and have done routine maintenance on the system as I have needed over the years. I have always been impressed with their professionalism, price point value and their high quality of work. My AC went out this past weekend and Kelly showed up on time and replaced the capacitor that had gone out as well as my old thermostat at my request and his recommendation. Kelly was very pleasant and extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He programmed my thermostat and showed me how to use it as well. I have been using them for 18 years now and I will continue to use them into the future. They helped me when I really needed it, but, then my husband got cancer and I tried paying monthly amounts and eventually could not do it anymore, they got a fair amount from till I had to file bankruptcy. Today December 21 2014 my heating went out and unless I am prepared to pay the $149 for after hour service they will not do it for me. I have tried before during the week and the answer was NO. So today with foster children in my home we will have to see what we can do for heat. The service man told me they paid foe the service contract so they do not get the money back...really......would you not rather make your money back on the service contract?
