It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.

I want to be as kind as I can to this company, because I don't know exactly all the facts around my experience. but they quoted me for between a 4000 to 8000 dollar job, when the solution was a 50 dollar part. I live in Bluffdale, and I was just looking to do normal yearly maintenance on my A/C unit, I called the company, they answered were friendly and sent a guy out immediately. Good deal, the charge is only 20 bucks for the maintenance. I mention to the guy that this particular A/C unit has been tripping the breaker about once a day. He says he'll look into it. A couple hours later he has taken apart my entire system, let's me know that the compressor must have gone bad and that I will need to replace it, as well as most other parts of my A/C unit, I ask "Well... how much would that cost" "Well the part is about 1500, and then it's a 6 hour job, so it'll run you about 4-6k dollars or so, I can have a guy come out and give you an exact quote, but honestly it's not that much more to get the entire system replaced... that's 8000.." I wait, look into warranty and amazingly, i still have a warranty for the part! Good news! in the mean time I get several other quotes, one shop quotes me half that 4k price, that makes sense, 4000-1500 is about 2000 dollars, the price difference is somewhat small. the price guy arrives, asks a lot of personal questions and then says he'll run my quote, I inform him the good news! I get the part for free! could they get close to the price quoted earlier? Nope, 4000 dollars. well since I have that piece still warrantied, can you show me a breakdown of the prices for labor, parts etc? nope. can you tell me what unit you would install if I went with the 8k version? "honestly they are all the same" Ok, but can I get a price break down? nope. they were vary dismayed when I said I would get some other quotes. He also informed me that this has happened all over this neighborhood So I call another company, guy looks at it, looks at my breaker and says "I think the builder just added the wrong size breaker, and this one is warn down, I can get an electrician friend of mine out here to fix it, but your unit looks perfect". thanks Copper peaks. No fee for the consultation electrician comes over,"that'll be 50 dollars for the part, 150 for the house call" it's been working perfectly fine ever since. I don't know if this is an experience problem, but I do worry that this company has been wrongfully quoting newish home owners full replacements when they are not necessary. I had a bad experience with this company, and cannot recommend them.

Please read the entire review! I know this is a long review, however this was an unusual situation…read morethat needs a little background. My daughter and I purchased a home a little over a year ago and only have about 7 months left of a warranty for parts on our furnace. The furnace is only 4 years old, however we are not the original owners who had the home built in 2022 which is why the warranty is almost over. Our furnace started making a horrible noise and then all of a sudden it stopped. We called another company to come out and look at it. They told us that the blower motor cage had cracked due to faulty manufacturing and the blower motor basically fell off and broke. After getting a list of authorized service/warranty providers from the manufacturer, we called CTR heating and air. They worked with us and the manufacturer to try to process a claim on the warranty but it was a nightmare! We were getting no help from the manufacturer and we were stuck. We finally got it resolved, after about 2.5 weeks, and ended up having to go through the initial installer when the home was built. Here is where the review gets good! Even though we actually didn't end up going through CTR, their constant communication, repeated attempts to resolve with the manufacturer and their daily updates/ communication with me was outstanding! Never once did I have to reach out to them for an update. They always contacted me first! When we communicated, it was always extremely professional and very customer service centered. They provided much needed recommendations for the future and were very patient with us and the situation, and never got frustrated even though it was taking so long. Even after all the work they put in for us, when we advised them that we were going to have to go through the original installer, they STILL remained professional and wished us well, hoping that everything would work out on our favor! What an amazing and incredible company! I'm only allowed to give 5 stars, but if I could, I would absolutely give them at 10! Would 100% recommend CTR as they are friendly, helpful, professional, and honest!!
