I live 10 miles away, I got home to a voice mail saying "you forgot your ID come pick it up so I now I have to go all the way back there. Returning the insurance card and ID has to be one of the most basic responsibilities of the job. This guy just set it aside returned the insurance card with the paperwork only no explanation. He said he was "sorry". sorry doesn't pay for the time and money spent going back there. They should offer to return the ID by courier. when I called back I got the scheduling department who refused to give me a name to write a letter to complain to then procrededto to blame me for "forgetting to ask for it back" Handing over valid identification and not returning it then pivoting to blame the customer is a violation of trust. When you get your scan done there ask yourself what other things might the staff there so casually disregard. People at medical front desks need to be professional and take their jobs seriously. I see lots of doctors and get lots of scan and never once was my ID KEPT without returning it. I was there another 20 minutes doing the scan but the place is not laid out so that I would pass the front desk, when finished, from wkat I can tell he left the voice mail while I saw as getting scaneed and was too lazy to get up and walk over to the technician and say he still had my ID. When the scan is over your not thinking about paperwork and IDs so accusing the customer of being the one who "forgot" is highly unprofessional and rude. They should emphatically take responsibility and return what they so casually disregarded. If they had called.and emphatically aplgized for not returning it rather than putting it on me I my reaction would have been far more accepting I will never accept a referral there ever again.

Yes, I had a small issue scheduling due to an insurance issue, but it was resolved quickly and my original appointment was re-booked without any issue. I arrived 30 minutes early, like they asked, pre-filled out my paperwork online, like they asked, and was greeted right away by a friendly employee who checked me in and took my payment. Keep in mind I was there about 40 minutes earlier then my appointments schedule time and I waited a whopping ~10 minutes for another employee to come get me, take me to the exam room and completed my CT scan quickly, efficiently and very professionally. By the time I drove back home, back into the valley, it was barely past the starting time for my actual appointment.

Unacceptable Short-Notice Rescheduling and Lack of Communication -…read more Dear Dr. Chandak, I am writing to bring a severe matter regarding your office's scheduling and communication practices to your immediate attention. An MRI was scheduled for me, for this coming Sunday, June 14th. This appointment was confirmed approximately two to three weeks ago. However, today--Friday, June 12th--less than 48 hours before the scheduled procedure, I received a text message abruptly stating that my appointment must be rescheduled to Monday. Following this notice, my husband attempted to contact your office five separate times to resolve this issue. Not a single call was answered, nor have we received any return communication. This level of service is entirely unacceptable. Forcing a patient to shift an appointment from a weekend to a workday on such short notice is a major disruption. Furthermore, leaving a patient completely unable to reach anyone to discuss the change is a terrible business practice that severely damages client trust. Please be advised that I am contacting the law firm that coordinated this referral to formally complain about this experience and ensure they are aware of how their clients are being treated. I expect a prompt response to resolve this situation immediately.

Initially, the imaging facility my dad's doctor suggested told me they would need to have someone get back to me about the pacemaker and that I could expect a call within 24/48 hours. When they didn't call, I called back and had to speak to several people (all of whom seemed capable of answering the question unlike the first call but I was disconnected twice before the third call each time having to start over). After more than hour on the phone, the third person finally told me that they did not have an imaging machine compatible with my dad's pacemaker. This whole process ended up delaying the MRI for my dad for more than 1 week. The day I got Westside Medical Imaging's number, I called and spoke to Dolly. She was polite, informative and responsive. Within an hour she confirmed that they had a compatible machine and they could see my dad 2 days later. She emailed the paperwork to fill out so my dad's time could be minimized. When we got there, the front desk personnel (which included Dolly) were very kind and helpful. They also had arranged to have a technician from the pacemaker company available to put my dad's pacemaker in the MRI mode. The same person was there to set the pacemaker back after my dad was done. Bobby, the imaging tech, was incredibly patient, kind and helpful. He expressed genuine interest in my dad and gently helped him get to the machine. Despite there being 3 separate studies, the whole process was completed in less time than was predicted. I was able to get my dad back to the house earlier than expected. This experience stood in stark contrast to an experience my wife had with a different imaging facility just the day before. I am very grateful to Westside Medical Imaging and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called to schedule a Coronary Calcium Scan as a self-pay patient -- no insurance, no doctor involved. I made that very clear from the start. Getting through to someone wasn't easy either -- the phone system is a guessing game with no obvious path to scheduling. I would have preferred to book online, but a Coronary Calcium Scan simply wasn't listed as an available option on their website, so calling was my only choice. The appointment was set. Then, at 4:30 PM the day before my scan, I got a call telling me I needed a doctor's referral. When I reminded the rep that I had specifically explained I was self-pay with no referral, it didn't matter -- the appointment was cancelled anyway. I can't review the facility itself, the equipment, or the on-site staff because I never got that far. What I can say is that the intake process failed at every step: an inaccessible phone system, an incomplete online booking option, and front-end staff who either don't document or don't read patient notes. I hope someone at RadNet reads this and uses it as an opportunity to train staff on handling self-pay patients properly. A last-minute cancellation caused by an intake error wastes patients' time and erodes trust before the relationship even begins.

I had an open MRI imaging where I was sitting up and it was wonderful compared to lying down in a tube in an MRI machine. It was open, I would see the ceiling, in front of me and in fact they played a video for me while it was being done. I would recommend this type of MRI if you can not stand lying down in a machine tube. If you do go to this location, the parking structure is located on the side of the building on S. Gale Ave. And be aware that it is a rather small parking structure. However, the service of the office offset the parking.

Stand-Up MRI of Beverly Hills: 2 Stars Simon-Med Imaging:…read moreZERO Stars. I'm giving Stand-Up MRI of Beverly Hills (8370 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211) mediocre praise; the location itself is only somewhat recommended. This location has unique sit-down "open" MRI equipment. The patient is seated, and the walls are moved in toward the arms. The top and front are open. They used to offer hundreds of movies on a large-screen monitor, which made the time pass quickly (the DVD player is evidently broken as of July 2026, or the technician didn't feel like turning it on). The front desk staff is considerate and professional. Some of the technicians are compassionate and appreciated (some are not). This imaging location is owned by Simon-Med, which is the worst company to deal with, ever. Simon-Med owns over 170 imaging locations in 10 different states across the US. Even though patients complain constantly, Simon-Med doesn't listen to patients and opts to eliminate patients' ability to contact the actual imaging location, offering only a centralized call center for billing, scheduling (and all other inquiries), which is a terribly frustrating experience. The agents refuse to provide a phone number, FAX, or email address for the location (all phone numbers will be rerouted to the centralized call center if obtained by Simon-Med call center personnel). The call center agents are undertrained, and many seem clueless about MRIs or other imaging procedures (or scheduling or billing for that matter). The agents are unable to accurately predict how long an MRI will take and can't answer basic questions about how certain imaging equipment differs from other equipment (at various Simon-Med locations). The call center phone agents don't have any idea about the daily operations and scheduling for a specific location and frequently make major mistakes (wrong appointment times, dates, addresses, hours of operation, etc.). The centralized call-center agents will tell patients there are no appointments at a location for weeks (even over 1 1/2 months away). They will say it is impossible to schedule two or three MRI's back to back, that the patient must return on different dates for each MRI, that certain MRI's are done on certain days (example: a lower lumbar MRI cannot be scheduled on the same day as a knee MRI, etc.) All of the above is UNTRUE information. I don't know where the phone support agents were trained (or if they were trained), but I haven't spoken to one who was qualified to do their job. Many appear to be making stuff up as they go along. I'm not exaggerating one iota when I say that I spent at least 6-7 hours over the three weeks prior to my appointment, in an attempt to schedule three MRI's, and ask technical questions about how my body/limbs will be placed for the MRI's (in that I'm in excrutiating pain, I wanted to be sure that I wouldnt be expected to stand during the knee MRI's). Naturally, the call center agents were unable to answer any questions. And naturally, they would not allow me to contact the location. The ONLY way to avoid the hassle of the Simon-Med call center is to visit the location yourself and speak directly with the front desk about making an appointment and inquiries. This approach will help patients feel more in control and better able to handle the various aspects of the MRI experience. Visiting the front desk at Stand-Up MRI of Beverly Hills may be helpful for questions about insurance, scheduling, the final report, or anything else. Make sure to get a working phone number and email address for the staff at that location (if possible) so you can connect with them directly (and you won't be stuck dealing with the centralized call center). Trust me --you do NOT want to suffer through long-winded conversations (that go nowhere, slow) with random call-center agents who don't know anything about MRIs. Simon-Med has made the relatively simple, straightforward process of scheduling an appointment and submitting insurance information for an MRI a complicated and brutally frustrating experience. It is RIDICULOUS for Simon-Med to disallow patients access to the location where they are about to have an MRI! It's just nuts! I previously recommended Stand-Up MRI of Beverly Hills (before it was bought out by Simon-Med), but Simon-Med's centralized call center is terrible in every way. Years ago, this location seemed clean and well-maintained (and the staff were top-notch), but my recent MRI's revealed that it is completely rundown and has the appearance of a county facility (unclean, 15-year-old rumpled and discolored posters on the walls, the waiting room chairs are ripped and torn, non-working light fixtures (missing light bulbs), non-functional wheelchairs, piled pillows in the MRI room, etc. etc. Simon-Med obviously has the lowest of standards and (presumably) pays the lowest wages in town. It's a shame.
