I come back 40 minutes later and all the guy did was paint over the dirt marks. He even had the guts to tell my that my wallet was not leather! Infuriated, I asked him if could undo what he did and what do you know, he hardly knows any English. How does a place like this even exist? I went to two other cleaners before this one and they told me, honestly, that they couldn't do it. Why couldn't this guy do the same? The only repair this place does is paint. If you want your $20 dirty leather goods to be painted over for $5 this is the place to go. If you want the guy to get something done the way you want it to you better go somewhere else or speak Russian. Almost forgot to mention, Maksim is the son of the guy that works here.

I came back two days later, still not ready. Came back three days after that and he gave me two pairs and wanted more time for the third pair - he hadn't started the repair. I asked for a refund for that pair of shoes (which he gave me) and took my shoes home. When I got home I realized he did not repair the shoes I did pay for! So one week, four trips and $80 and still have three pair of shoes in need of repair.

This 2004 coin purse wallet combo has seen better days, and when my wallet was rejected for repairs from the original source, I didn't want to give up on it. Paul asked me to send pictures of the damages so he could quote me properly due to the amount of work involved. We agreed on a price and even the amount I had to leave for deposit wasn't an issue. He wanted to make sure that I would trust his judgement and value his work. Paul said to give him a week and he delivered it to me in 5 days time! Be sure to always ask him what the store hours are, as he unfortunately is experiencing flood damages to his work space. How he was still able to fix this wallet for me in such dire conditions, I'll never know. He's chatty and friendly, and could use more foot traffic as this kind of work is clearly dying in the industry. He seamless repaired my coin purse compartment that kept leaking coins all over my bag, as well as the bills compartment that was fatigued. The work is perfect; beat that 5th ave! I had brought 3 pairs of expensive shoes to this shop for adding sole protection to cover up stitches. Spent half an hour with the old man to carefully select shoe soles for each pair to match the colors and styles of each shoe. One week later when I had came to pick them up I have realized that old man messed up all selections. He has glued black soles on brown shoes and brown ones on black and for the 3rd one he has placed something else that has not been picked up by me at all. The old man won't accept any arguments from you, he will start screaming and cursing immediately, demanding that you pay and leave, because he has spent so much time working on it and for such cheap price that you should be thankful to him for the rest of your life no matter what. Conclusion: the good hands with headass combination in the old man who is running this shop aren't going to produce any satisfactory results to the customer like you.
