Johnny was recommended to us by the contractor helping us with our kitchen leak which resulted in…read moremold. We needed someone to temporarily connect our kitchen sink so that we can use it as we wait for our kitchen to be fixed. He initially responded quickly and was personable when he was providing services. The problem was his professionalism: responsiveness, quality of work, and punctuality. When I first reached out to Johnny for his services he was quick to accept the job. He said he would be able to help us at 2:00pm the same day. Around 2:30pm he texted me letting me know he got held up at another job and would help us the following day. No problem, we were grateful that he was able to help us. He came the following day and connected our sink. He also let me know he would be sending me an invoice (which he still hasn't sent me). About an hour and a half after Johnny first connected our sink, it started leaking from two different parts. I texted him pictures but didn't expect an immediate response as it was a Friday. Monday comes and still no response. I reached out again on Tuesday. No response until we reached out to our contractor who was able to get a hold of him. He was not available to come back until Thursday. We waited and were understanding when he explained why he did not able to respond to our texts. Johnny came by Thursday. He let us know he would be able to come Friday (following day) if it started leaking again. After we began using the sink Thursday night, it started leaking again. I texted him Friday morning letting him know it was leaking again. He did not respond until I sent a second text asking if he was available to come as he previously said he would. At 3:53pm he said he would be able to fix it in an hour. Again, we waited patiently. At 7:13pm I reached out asking if he was still coming. I waited until 7:30pm before I asked for a refund since he did not successfully reconnect our sink. He was fairly quick to respond to this text. He said he would not be refunding us because he provided service twice and "got you a working sink when you didn't have and charged you only service charge even when i used my own materials to get you operational". He continued explaining how the leak needed "a simple tighten of a nut" and said that we can "put a bowl under it" until he came back. He continued to explain that it was a simple tightening of the nuts. Johnny having to provide his services twice was not our fault... he charged us $100 to reconnect our sink, but it leaked after both times he came. As for using his own materials to get us operational, while it was a kind gesture, we would have had no problem paying the couple dollars the parts cost since it would have been covered by our insurance (which was initially communicated to him). Finally, while the leak may be a simple problem for someone who does this for a living, we just got rid of the mold so we are hesitant to have any water down there with everything exposed. We just told him to keep the money and to not come back. While my interactions with Johnny were positive, I cannot recommend his services. This situation resulted in us not have our kitchen sink for an additional week, which was not necessary and could have been avoided. I understand this is a small job and he is busy. However, he chose to accept our job when he didn't have to.

For us, we recently had a slab leak. Prior to this incident, I had no idea what a Slab Leak was. But now, I can say I'm quite the expert on the subject. (It's basically a leak in your slab, well the pipes underground anyways). There were many ways to fix this slab leak, from drilling a hole on the ground and patching it, to put in Pex as an alternative instead of copper, to re-route the pipe, or to re-pipe the whole house (which we didn't have any money for and we didn't want to patch the whole house), we decided to go with the re-route ROUTE. (Insert your joke here) If there is any negative any Johnny, it would be his punctuality. He was supposed to come originally the first time between 8-9am or 2-3pm. We waited the whole day and texted in between and it turns out he finally came at 4pm. On the actual day of work, he was an hour late. What I love about Johnny's work is that he is clean and detailed in his job. We had some of our boards cut up and he did that quite nicely so we can just patch it up with speckle. Not as much of a mess and not as much in terms of cost. He also vacuumed his work so that you don't most of the dusting from sawing. Now our hot water works fine and we are happy with his work. We did have a fridge line he accidentally broke and he promised to come back and fix. Thus far, we haven't hear back, but will update once he does.

They said they would reconnect the sprinklers if it was simple, but did not do it because they said it was not simple to do after they were done. Ended up reconnecting the sprinklers ourselves (the job was simple) and when we turned them on, there were new major leaks in the sprinkler lines near where they dug to replace the mainline. I had them come out to check it out, and they said it was not their fault, and it was up to me to find someone else to come and fix the sprinklers.
