A $1300 new toilet installation. His cheapest? We buy a new toilet and he installs it for $400. I did a little poking around and fixed the issue for a $11 flush tank ring. I posted a comment on JIT's webpage and no one bothered to reach out. I wonder how many people that plumber has scammed out of significant money. Add another - as he was leaving, he remarked that we didn't have a pressure regulator on our incoming water line - I told him we did have one but we had it removed - and then he started low-key arguing with me saying he didn't see any evidence one ever existed. I remember when Justin had a small business and he was awesome. Be wary now, their plumber appear to have a reason to upsell as much as they can. Not the kind of plumber I want to deal with.

The Yelp reviews for Carlson Plumbing were fantastic, and the service absolutely lived up to them. Not only were they able to come within the hour from my call, but the pricing was almost half of what I was quoted by several other companies. Gilbert and Logan were friendly, helpful, and quickly replaced the leaking valve and got our water back on in no time. They even offered to help move the refrigerator into its designated spot, which was definitely not part of their scope and very appreciated (we ended up declining, but the offer alone said a lot). They also pointed out a secondary water shut off we had completely forgotten about. Also worth mentioning, this was the only place I called where I actually reached the office and not a call service. I can't remember her name, but she was incredibly helpful and honestly saved us by getting someone out so fast, especially since we were without water at both our house and our attached rental. Carlson Plumbing just earned a new regular customer. Not a service you want to need often, but really glad to know who to call now.

I have had great experiences in the past, unfortunately, my last experience was sub par. I have used VIP and have referred them to my clients. They have always been very fair and responsive. My last experience was disappointing. I reached out because I needed a water heater replaced for one of my clients. The water heater had failed and my client was without hot water for 2 days before She contacted me and I immediately contacted Nick. He was super busy and not able to get to me until a few days later. I had to follow up on more than one occasion because I had not heard from him to confirm the appointment. When the guys arrived, they were very polite however, they were not prepared to replace the water heater. They let me know that they were super busy and not sure if they would be able to make it back the next day but they would talk to Nick and he would get back to me. I had to reach out to Nick again that night to confirm that someone was going to be able to come the next day to take care of it, since I had not heard back from him. He said yes and the next morning I received a call from J & L Plumbing. I figured that Nick was busy and he was helping me out by getting me someone that was available to take care of it for me. J & L Plumbing was late, but they made it and replaced the water heater. Today, I got the bill. $2,049 to replace the water heater. I have had experience with replacing water heaters in the past and this seems a bit excessive. While I appreciate having someone take care of the problem, I was disappointed when I received the bill. As a Realtor, it is imperative that the contractors that I refer to my clients value customer service as much as I do. No one is perfect and we all have moments when we can be overwhelmed. At the end of the day, it is honorable to be accountable, forthright, and take responsibility when you fall short. I don't usually speak out negatively, but this is a rare occasion. Despite my disappointment, I gave Nick the benefit of the doubt and referred him to my client Doug, that was in need of a small plumbing repair job. Sadly, Nick was less than responsive and Doug shared his disappointment here. Given Nick's response to Doug's post, I felt that I should share my experience. read more

VIP Sewer and Drains was exceptional in their customer service. Roots in the sewer lateral were hydrojetted and our 1960's home needed corroded cast iron sewers and drains replaced. From the beginning until the project was finished, Nick Willis was on top of everything.He maintained constant communication and updates with me by email or text. His first visit was to do a video camera inspection. Both the proposal of work recommended and options were reviewed with me and a competitive price given. Nick was professional and patient with any questions I had and he handled necessary permits and inspections and scheduling. All work was completed with his great team. They arrived on time and each person had an area of the house to remove and replace sewers and drains.. Thank you Miguel, Jesus, Alvino, Jorge and the rest of the crew for your efficiency and care. Very happy with VIP's services. Having 2 clogged toilets upstairs and wondering what sewer/drain issues there may potentially be wasn't fun. But Jesus was very calm and professional and right away explained what he was going to try to do. The toilet auger couldn't fix it, so then before he proceeded further, he explained that he'd be removing the toilet and using a camera. The toilets then flushed, and he showed me the water flushing via the camera. And then before installing the toilet back, he explained again what happened and what potentially could happen once the toilet was sealed. I didn't know that vents from the roof affect the draining, so I welcomed the time he took to explain. He arrived early, wearing a mask and booties. I appreciate the contactless payment. The invoice is sent by email and you can pay online after they leave. The price estimate that was quoted before I made the appointment is exactly what I was charged, so no surprises. And the response to my initial Yelp inquiry was super fast. read more

Wow! We can't sing enough praises and appreciation for Nick and Rafael. Owner Nick came up with a very good alternative for us to repair broken rusted iron pipe in slab behind our washing machine and then power flush all drains to clean out mud and debris. They very quickly cleanly and professionally accomplished the work in a timely manner just as promised. Rafael did an amazing job of surgical precision with a jack hammer, pipe replacement and replacing concrete. The repair is hardly noticeable and the new piping is a vast improvement! Now we have time to save for complete rerouting of old small iron sewer pipes in the future if we decide to go that route. Nick is kind understanding interested in us and guarentees his work. We will definitely call VIP from now on as our first and only choice for and plumbing needs. Jesus arrived on a Monday afternoon, correctly diagnosed my issue, provided me with as estimate and started immediately. Wow. Jesus and Bryce @ VIP Sewer and Drain were very good. Great actually. They were on time of course, but even more important they were very professional and highly skilled. I have a combined 25 years experience with rental homes and plumbing problems that go with that so when a problem happens with my own home, I want someone good there too. I have seen it all. he two gentlemen, Nick and (Gonzales, I believe), were great. This listen carefully to my issue with the storm drains. They were quick, efficient and transparent. They showed me what was removed out of the line and showed me when they ran the camera through the storm drain line to show where my west storm drain had breaks and root intrusions. They even had enough time to hydrojet the east storm drains which had much sediment buildup. They even ran the Hydrometer twice through the east storm drain to get a stubborn root out. The huge roots of a 50 year old Jacaranda tree by my front door planter broke a sprinkler line and I requested quotes online to fix the problem. Wow!!! Had these guys out to clear a clogged toilet that was overflowing last night. They answered right away and got here 10 mins early. This is the second time I've used VIP for drainage issues today Nick Chavez came out and was amazing he was the answer to my prayers he cleared my drainage pipes in the yard that had palm tree roots probably 20 feet long in them. We had to call multiple times throughout the morning just to find out where our technician was and when they planned to arrive. Once they finally arrived, I was quoted $900+ just to diagnose the source of a leak. I told them I had already received another quote for $700 that included both diagnosing and repairing the leak. They agreed to match the price, but the situation only got worse from there. After their inspection, they determined the leak was actually related to the HVAC system, not a plumbing issue. Instead of being honest and simply referring me to an HVAC professional, they still wanted to charge the full amount despite the problem being outside their area of expertise. What makes this even more frustrating is that the source of the water appeared to be obvious. The leak was coming from the attic, and there was visible water present. Charging $700 simply to determine that the issue was related to the AC system feels excessive and unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, I was told they had "done their work." In my opinion, a reputable company would have been upfront about their limitations, referred me to the appropriate contractor, and charged a fair amount for the time spent. Between the three-hour delay, poor communication, and what felt like an excessive charge for a diagnosis that did not result in a repair, I cannot recommend this company.

Carter came out, looked at the home, has a world of experience and was confident this would be a 2 day job. One day to run all the pipes in the house, the next to tackle the holes in the wall. We had a repiping and we talked to a few companies and they were all pretty honest, and Carter was a plumber and believed in things being done right. Could we have gotten it done cheaper, pretty sure that was possible. But you know that you are going to get what you pay for, and pipes over my head with water doesn't seem like something you want to skimp on. On vacation and come back to a swamp with water pouring in from the ceiling, thanks but no thanks, I will pay a little more for quality work with quality material that is high grade not Home Depot stuff. He was not nearly the most expensive, but he was extremely fair and quality work. On time, professional, cost effective, went the extra mile, was generous in his efforts, accommodating and expeditious. Not sure what else you need to hear, I can confidently say you will not be disappointed. Why do you think they have 5 stars, because of scummy business practices, being late, over charging, shoddy work ripping people off? That isn't who they are and they deserve your money and time - don't mess around with plumbing and save your money. I will have them handle the new mains when we have the cash for it.

Called Linear Plumbing for a kitchen faucet replacement as well as the main shut off valve outside…read more Shannon and his assistant Joe showed up early and they assessed the job. Shannon is very meticulous which I appreciated and paid attention to detail. The outside shut off valve also needed the regulator replaced (the cost was very expensive) but the house is 20+ years old so I gave my approval. Shannon did an excellent job and didn't mind me watching, not to check his work but to learn, I'm always looking to learn about any trade. Afterwords they cleaned up everything and were on their way. As a side note Shannon reminded me of an old biker friend of mine. Don't let the looks deceive you, he is a master at his craft.
