I'm disappointed with my experience. My premium jumped by $800-$900 with no clear or direct notice, and the policy was auto-renewed without my explicit consent--even with such a significant increase. When there's a price change this large, you'd expect clear communication and some form of confirmation. Instead, the only message I received was a vague "Your auto renewal is all set," which didn't clearly explain the new rate. After contacting customer support, I was repeatedly told that an email had been sent, but I never received anything that actually outlined or justified the increase. There was no real accountability or attempt to resolve the situation. Overall, the process felt frustrating and poorly managed. We have 2 cars damaged, we had full coverage on both, they found the other drivers at fault, but we're out $2000 for each deductible. They told us to pay the deductible for the damages before they would repair our cars, then they would do what they call "segregation". Car #1 hit by a off duty cop who at the time agreeded to hitting my non moving, sitting in a line of traffic car, but later lied to his insurance AAA saying we it him. Progressive never came to look at the damages only asked for pictures. Car #2 progressive said I had under insured drivers coverage but once they had proof the at fault driver's policy lapsed, then I'd only pay $250 not the full $1000 deductible, they also said they would take the at fault driver to court to get my deductible back. WELL THAT WAS A LIE. PROGRESSIVE HAD ME AND THE AT FAULT DRIVER WAITING FOR COURT INSTEAD, THEY SENT HER TO COLLECTIONS. TOLD ME I COULD TAKE her to SMALL CLAIMS COURT and if I am successful please provide them the details because it might help them go after the parts in the future. I give the a 1/2 star. I have 3 policies with Progressive for boats and water crafts and they wasted my time when trying to add another policy - 30 minutes on the phone and grabbed all my personal info, Credit Card, Ss# ! So far, so good. This place is great! Wifi, refreshments, candy everywhere, a nice area for the kiddos. At the counter they have first aid kits, balls, pens, magnets, and I'm sure other things I didn't see. They thought of everything! While the adjuster reviewed the damages we sat inside for about 40 minutes. Once she was finished she approached us with a few checks, explained what it was for, and sent us on our way. That was by far the easiest and fastest insurance experience ever! Flo was hanging out in the corner. The staff was very friendly and everyone was laid back and relaxed, which was surprising. They advertise low rates, but if you get into an accident they will do whatever they can to place some blame on you so they can increase rates or save money by not fighting the other party's insurance. Your adjuster sited unrelated California vehicle code to place blame on me, her own customer. The other party was caught lying, my adjuster admits that, but continues to endlessly defend the other parties case. I repeat, my insurance company (Progressive) is actively defending the other party's (State Farm) case. My insurance company (Progressive) told me I am lucky that they are not putting 100% blame on me, instead I should be happy with 70% blame. The word "lucky" is a direct quote. This is the type of attitude they have. I am willing to put full details on yelp. I don't know how legal that would be. Progressive, give me permission on here. Corrina Chaidez is the worst claims adjuster to deal with. A Progressive client hit my car, was 100% at fault. I sent my evidence into my insurance the day of the accident. My insurance claimed we were not liable. My insurance and I consistently called Corrina to get a status on their investigation into the claim. After 2 months of hearing that they were still "pending investigation", I gathered that their client was not allowing them to inspect the vehicle. Red flag. I also believe that Progressive encouraged their client to change his story so they don't have to pay out my claim. Still, to this day, they still have not inspected their client's vehicle because guess what? He's ignoring them because he knows he's at fault! Yet, they're still dragging their feet and not paying out my small claim of less than $3,000. I've asked to be escalated to her supervisor since she gives me the same runaround BS answer every time we talk. Terrible company. read more

Had to file a claim due to someone hitting my car on the freeway. They took care of me right away. I was blown away how fast my adjuster reacted. While my car was in the shop we got updates. When we received the car back they had called us to make sure if we were happy with the outcome. I read some of the reviews here on Yelp and it's the complete opposite customer service we received. My first accident ever. Not a serious car accident but my car met a post. Easy scrape and dent. Nothing major. The process was pretty easy and simple. I worked with a super nice guy named Wes from start to finish. Honestly I interacted with the service center more than I worked with the Claims Adjuster! They sent my car to York Auto Body. I dropped my car off 8/22/2015 and got it back 8/28/2015. Either way, it was an easy process all the way around. For a first timer with an accident I high recommend them. Awful service here. I was rear ended by a progressive driver. Obviously not their fault. However I kept getting the run around on the status of my car and was given 7, SEVEN different completion dates. From an original 5 days to 23! Plus they never gave me a full rental contract from enterprise which supposedly states they can just take money from me for repairs that they don't even have a bill for yet. The communication between these two companies is horrible and I got screwed out of a car for almost a month and now $500 being stolen from me for things I never did. Please do not do business with any of them. PS a manager did give me gas cards totalling $20 since my gas tank was returned completely empty. read more

Getting someone mysterious asking to approve and fix their bad service in the past, which allowed me to remember not only they shorten us in the value of the car, but they intentionally delay the payoff check to the BMW BANK, and we have to follow up for over 14 days by over 5 phone calls and three email to the rep especially after they confirmed she will send it via Fedexp and finally discovered was not sent and they have to send it again which delay the payment and caused negative credit effect. the icing on the cake was "they shorten the agreed payoff amount for over $200 and we discovered it from the Bank much too late with more painful negative credit effect on us.. read more

Gosh I just love this place. If you have Progressive car insurance, and you get in an accident, instead of going through hoops finding a repair shop that the insurance accepts, you can take your damaged car here to get well soon. Everything about the entire process was seamless. The employees at the Service Center are extremely nice and always ask about your experience to make sure that they are doing everything they can to make it a good claim. Also, HELLO, perks! They set me up with a free rental car. Lots of free swag like Progressive pens and tote bags. Free snacks, water, coffee and soda! I repeat: free noms! The repair shop did an excellent job replacing my bumper. And they washed the car inside and out. Pretty effing awesome for not having to pay a dime for any of this (except I guess my monthly Progressive payment?). Would definitely come back, but hope I don't have to. read more

I am not insured by Progressive but I was rear-ended by a driver who is. This place is absolutely amazing because their friendly team made my claims process so quick and easy that I felt like I practically had to do nothing except bring my car in. Although the other driver denied his fault in the damage, Progressive took care of that issue for me. Timothy was the nice and friendly estimator who evaluated the damage. They went ahead and began the repairs process since Timothy told me that the driver at fault usually won't win if he/she tried to dispute this type of accident. Progressive was on my side! :) I chose to have my car repaired at Progressive's preferred auto body shop, Detroit Auto Body. All I had to do was bring my car to Progressive's Service Center and they brought my car to the body shop. Once my car got there, Detroit informed me that they determined the damages to be bigger after they took apart my bumper and looked inside and behind it. They would instead replace my bumper, with an OEM bumper of course (I requested it must be oem since the damaged one was oem). woohoo! New bumper! :) The service from Detroit was also exceptional. They gave me a call with all the details and for the ok to start the repairs and sent me a text message once the repairs were done. Quick and easy. The repairs only took a week and Progressive provided me a rental car from Enterprise during that time . Overall the entire process from the date of the accident to the day I got my fixed car back took about 1 & 1/2 month. Progressive's part of the process took 2 weeks. I am impressed! read more

Steer clear of this service center. My car was damaged here and they refuse to take responsibility. I have been a satisfied progressive customer for 11 years. I was happy to make the hour drive to deliver my vehicle to Pasadena service center because I believed it would be the least hassle way to manage the repair of the damage I incurred from a hit and run accident. It was , in fact, pretty easy and without stress until I returned to find that the automatic window control on the drivers side no longer worked upon pick up. There is no correlation to the body repair location and the window operation. They have refused the liability claim and I will have to pay myself to have their damages repaired. Their refusal to accept responsibility for this damage is simply incomprehensible. You are better off handing the vehicle to the repairer and signing off on the pre-claim inspection yourself. Do not let these charlatans convince you otherwise. read more

Two months after my accident, I had to call my service rep myself because there was no communication. "Oh yeah, the other insurance isn't admitting fault. This doesn't even merit one star. VIVIAN TERAN is an incompetent, lacks any experience or intelligence, unprofessional, fraud and a horrible claims agent. If you get her, demand for somebody new. She lied and claimed she did a FULL investigation into my claim in less than 3 hours of it being filed and said it was 100% my fault, yet the other person was speeding, whilst talking on his cell phone. I contested her decision and demanded paperwork. She never followed up after that, never heard from her or received any paper work. Her supervisor, JANET LEE, is a failure as a supervisor and didn't make sure her employee was doing her job at all. To this day, the claim sits open. JANET LEE should be demoted and reprimanded, she is not a good supervisor. I have been told by people who work at Progressive, that if they did not continually talk with the policy holder, they would get in trouble. Where is this accountability anymore? KIM MINJEVAR is the manager, she refuses to take any accountability for her employee, VIVIAN TERAN, and her supervisor, JANET LEE, for not doing anything properly. Progressive, you show complete lack of any proper legal action here. Your employees act in BAD FAITH and are in BREACH OF CONTRACT. You hire people who have no clue what they are doing and are lying, which is illegal. I was a customer for 10 years until this. SHAME ON YOU! Prepare for a lawsuit. read more

It seems like every time I get a new car, someone has to put a ding in it! I got rear ended on the freeway and it left a few dents & scratches on my bumper (nothing crazy, but darn it come on!!) I filed a claim on Progressive's app, and the very next day I was asked to bring in the car. First of all the facility is so nice! It kind of feels like I'm pulling into some kind of modern hotel lol. The staff is very friendly and greeted me by name as soon as I walked in (they were expecting me due to my appointment). They also have refreshments and snacks! As we walked over to inspect the damages to my car, I was a little embarrassed because I felt like I was making a big deal over some scratches on my bumper (but darn it, my truck is my baby!). The damage assessor (Alecks) noticed the dents/ scratches right away, and even noticed that the bumper had been pushed in on one side! The neat thing is that he got a dry-erase marker and started circling and marking all of the damages right on the car, including arrows pointing at the uneven gaps on both sides of the car caused by the crooked bumper! He even requested (by writing on the car and using arrows to point to...) that the reverse sensors be checked. I'm always a little skeptical that the bare minimum will be done to my car, but after I saw how they work, I knew that they were going to really take care of my truck. They had a rental ready for me to use while my car got worked on. It honestly took 12 minutes from the time I pulled in, was greeted, damage assessed, put at ease, and rental given. It was so smooth & easy, too easy! 3 business days later I got my car back, brand new bumper installed, and the paint color was a perfect match. It looked better than before, thanks to all the hard workers at Progressive! read more

Waited 3 months for a reimbursement check from them after my rental car was charged to my credit card for over 1k with no notice from progressive about why or where the check was. Apparently they got the delivery address for the check wrong twice. I called the branch and the agent who can't write an address correctly was on vacation, so I was routed to the supervisor Timothy who cant pick up a phone call and speak words like a normal person but can email incomplete documents just fine. I was in and out of the service center less than an hour. I was even given a rental. They repaired my car within a week and called a few days later to ask if I was satisfied with my repairs. Progressive Insurance is beyond crooked. Do not leave a debit/credit card on file with Progressive Insurance because they had little problem stealing money from my account and they might do it to you too. The worst things was -- I don't even have insurance with them and never have. On 11-12-19 Progressive Insurance stole $1,923.00 from me. When I noticed the money missing from my account I called them to protest, it was 11-18-19. They told me because I had my credit card on file 6 months prior in order to pay for a family members insurance they had the right to keep charging me for a policy that wasn't mine for the next 6 months. Because I took a whole 6 days to notice the stolen money gone Progressive Insurance says I must pay for the policy for the next 6 months. Wow!!! Progressive Insurance holds the position, if they have a credit card on file they can charge for 6 months into the future. Shame on you Progressive. If this is not insurance fraud I don't know what is. Progressive Insurance is a major company and they have no problem self dealing and abusing the system. Can you imagine someone stealing 6 months worth of premiums from you and saying since it took 6 whole days to catch them you're responsible for the NEXT 6 MONTHS of premiums, even if you NEVER HAD INSURANCE WITH PROGRESSIVE. Pretty crooked if you ask me. Thank you, Progressive. Well, I have been with Progressive for (probably) a total of 15 yrs of my entire life..... They are wonderful at taking the auto monthly withdrawal out of my account. No problemo there.... but when it came to actually helping me in my ONLY time of NEED in my entire driving life, they screwed me to the MAX!!! At age 53 I had been in the ONLY car accident in my ENTIRE LIFE OF DRIVING (53-16..... 37 YEARS!!!). It was deemed my fault because I (guess) I swerved to avoid falling debris from a work truck in front of me. I really don't remember anything because my car was being hit multiple times on the 5 Freeway. My car is totaled, I am lucky to be alive. When I called PROGRESSIVE for a tow for my car they said "Oh, yes Ma'am. That will be $175." I said "What???" I have roadside assistance included in my policy. I have used it maybe twice in my life for a dead battery situation. She said that there is some "technical" difference between a "disabled" car and a car that has been in an accident. I said "What is the difference?" A tow is a tow is a tow. She said the difference is $175 and was not able to explain further. "That is just the way it is"..... When I bought a new, used 10 yr old car (modest 4 dr. Saturn Sedan) and got my policy renewal notice my rate more than DOUBLED to almost $200/mo. For a 53 yr. old woman with one accident in her life (which I chock up to an unfortunate occurrence due to flying debris, but was still deemed my fault). Talk about adding insult to injury. I will start shopping immediately for a new provider. If anyone reading this has any suggestions, please let me know!!! Here it is. Single father. Two Jobs. Got into an accident. I'm so busy in my day to day that I have no time for anything but work and my kid. Had my car broken into and it needed repairs. Was going to get it fixed here, but ended up going just for the estimate. Christina was amazingly helpful and polite. There are lots of free drinks and snacks in the lobby, its a cool and refreshing place to sit and wait (estimates are around 45 minutes). They have ample seating that is comfy and laid out spaciously with places to charge your phone and whatnot while you wait. The service offered is amazing. It took less time than I thought it would, Christina was extremely clear and concise about the goings on for the repairs (it's my first incident, so she explained everything very simply for me to understand). They know that keeping the customers happy is good for business. I would definitely recommend all customers with estimates and repairs to go here! They have enterprise rent-a-car on site, so if you do get your repairs there, you're ready to go before you walk out of the building, Super convenient. As I was going to go to my own shop for repairs, Christina called and emailed me information with a car rental reservation to save me the hassle! I'm very happy I drove the 45 minutes to Pasadena to go here. It may be out of the way, but the business is clean, provides excellent customer service, and takes care of me and my car. When Progressive called to go over my options after my fender bender, I was hesitant to go to their service center since it was about a 30-45 minute drive from my house. I decided to just drop it off there and have them handle it after all. I dropped my car off on Saturday, picked up a rental car and got a call Monday afternoon about my quote (at this time I approved the quote to start repairs). They told me my car would be ready by Tuesday (a week). I received a call only 3 days later on Thursday that my car was ready! 5 days ahead of time!? Amazing. Overall, the place was clean, people were super friendly and they surpassed every expectation I had of getting my car fixed. Progressive puts their profits ahead of their policyholder and falls short on customer service! Following a recent no-fault accident my rate was going to go from $117 to $232. Progressiv3 assessed a $50 cancellation fee when I told them I could not pay the new premium and had to change companies.They insisted that their policies, when written, includes this cancellation fee to ensure Progressive meets the projected profit for the policy 6 months period.! How very frustrating when your profit comes before your policy holder! read more

The driver who rear-ended us on the freeway is insured by Progressive. Because our car is a 1993 Volvo 240, I knew that it was going to be called a total loss even though it only had some body damage. But I also knew that we wanted to keep the car, regardless of how much money we got back from insurance because our car is in perfect driving order, it just has aesthetic damage. For those who have never totaled a car, when a car is totaled in California, the original title is tossed. If you want to repair your car and continue to drive it, you have to reregister the car as a Salvaged Vehicle (or as a Revived Salvage if you make all the repairs). This is to protect future buyers of the car from buying a car without knowing it's been wrecked and repaired. In addition to walking me through the repair and estimate process, Cameron also called his Manager, Ian, to come out and talk to me about the steps I needed to take to retitle the car. Even though our 23 year old car has little Blue Book value, I love it. Also, my husband and I had walked away from a freeway accident without a scratch because our car protected us. So I really appreciate that Ian and Cameron both talked to me about our old car like it was a rare collectible. I dropped off my (free) rental car today, and picked up my Volvo and my insurance check (that will cover all our bodywork) today. Krishna helped me close out the paperwork. He was super organized. My husband and I are not insured by Progressive. But we will be. We are so impressed by the service we got from Cameron, Ian, and Krishna that we are switching insurance companies. read more

I either was going to have my care repaired or not. As fate would have it, my car was considered a total loss. Within a week, I was compensated and used said money for a down payment for a new car.
