Not the friendliest AAA location but definitely one of the most efficient because they direct you to different departments upon arrival, which saves a lot of time. They don't greet you at all until you approach them. I feel like I get better service at a DMV than at this AAA. They share the same parking lot as multiple restaurants but there's always plenty of space. We weren't able to get what we needed to get done but will we coming back in about two weeks. read more

Definitely a AAA that has more space inside. It's spaced out for different waiting areas and lines, making it a bit less claustrophobic. All the workers were helpful and welcoming. The parking here can get a bit busy since there's lots of restaurants and other businesses sharing the plaza, but I've been able to park fairly close by the times that I've had to go. The only reason I've knocked down some stars is that there were some mistakes made by this location that had to be corrected by a different AAA office. Apparently, I was given a temp permit or whatever that red numbered flyer on car is supposed to be, without an agent signature on the paperwork (really makes you think), misspelled my middle name, and apparently the original paperwork had so many errors and things crossed out that the other location agent was surprised it was even accepted. I had to redo that paperwork and the entire vehicle inspection had to be redone again. It wasn't too much of an issue since I was on less of a time crunch at the second office visit, but I can imagine how this would make someone who had a tight schedule start malding. A few years ago, I had a pretty bad experience with an auto insurance agent. He was really rude, and when I brought it up to the person who referred me, she told me he was just busy--as if that excused his behavior. I've always liked AAA and had their roadside service for years, so I decided to just stop by the Arcadia location and ask in person. After checking in, I was called right away. I explained why I was there, and the agent took care of everything from that point on. For the first time, I actually felt like I understood how insurance works. He patiently answered all my questions, and the whole process took about an hour. I also signed up for a membership again, so now I've got roadside service back too! Once everything was set, he even walked out with me to check the mileage on my car. It was such a pleasant experience--way better than the shady, Chinese-speaking agent I dealt with before. This is my goto spot to do any DMV work for my vehicles. I picked up an out of state vehicle and registering it in CA was a breeze for me. The insurance prices are reasonable and the workers are friendly. Parking lot is huge as it's shared with other businesses but you shouldn't have an issue finding a spot. They accept cash / check / and now credit card due to covid. They do charge a 3% fee i believe. read more

1 star Awful experience! I was in a car accident hit at a red light by a drunk driver so 100% his fault. My insurance AAA was super difficult to deal with the entire time. I had to explain the situation several times to people from AAA who I could barely understand due to their bad accents and poor volume audio etc. They put a bunch of wrong details about the accident such as the location and cross streets(talk about how unprofessional right??). Finally when the adjuster Henry Aw called me he was rather rude and condescending and totally insincere, always cutting me off from even letting me speak. I knew right away he wasn't going to do a damn thing for me and he has NOT! He NEVER even called the drunk diver's insurance up at all! Can you believe that? What a total waste of time! Also from talking to my neighbors and friends, AAA is like double the price of their competitors! So I will drop AAA as my insurance because of this madness. Also when I first signed up with them several years ago the sales person I spoke to signed me up and as soon as I signed up he stop answering my emails/phone calls like the day after. So this showed me soon as they got you signed up you no longer matter to them. On top of that my insurance went up for no reason in the last few years. So unless you want to pay double what everyone else pays and be mistreated with no respect then you probably dont want to have AAA insurance as well. read more

AAA at 420 E. Huntington Dr, Arcadia, is a 'rip-off', especially for trusting seniors such as myself. I am a 38 yr AAA member, and 2 weeks ago their front desk told me that for only an additional $24.95, I could have my 1983 motorhome towed from Lucerne Valley, less than 50 miles to my Yucca Valley property, where I intend building my home. So on Friday 7/3/26, I made the 90 mile drive to Lucerne, only to be told by AAA when I called Roadside Service, "They would not send a tow because I was not broken down yet, and furthermore, they would only authorize a tow to a repair facility, or my Monrovia home address." None of these requirements were mentioned to me, and I made the 180 mile round trip for nothing. Today I complained to the Arcadia AAA manager, who promised to get back to me, but she has NOT. I submit this as a warning to all AAA members, "Be careful of what you believe they tell you at the Arcadia AAA." read more

Literally had the best experience here. Came to get car insurance and also change title over for a vehicle and both processes were SO seamless. There was minimal (almost no) wait time at all. It was very comfortable, easy, and fast. The workers here are ALL so friendly, great people, and it was just such an enjoyable experience running errands here. Lots of parking in the parking lot. I got a drivers ed lesson from Stephanie and she was fantastic! I've had problems in the past with instructors who are too stern and not great teachers but she was nothing like that. I always have a great experience at this AAA! Staff are always friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Wait times can be a tad long, but never as long as they would be at the DMV so it's a win imo! They're very well organized as well, so that helps the lines move faster. I've had AAA for years and have visited many times for various DMV needs - mostly for car registration renewals - but also for drivers license renewal, DMV address updates, title transfers, etc. Last week I came in to get my temporary handicap parking placard since I broke my ankle - and it was such an easy process thanks to AAA! The thought never crossed my mind to get one, but doctor recommended a temporary one while I heal my leg. She gave me the forms I needed. I filled out the rest and brought it with me. I was a walk in (no appointment). They had three different lines to wait in - one for miscellaneous AAA stuff like memberships and travel, one for "regular" DMV, and one for "express DMV". The staff are great at directing which line you need to be in. After checking into the "regular" DMV line, I had a bit of a wait but it was a very busy day at this location. They have plenty of seating and it's relatively comfortable. They even had a loveseat style chair available which was so helpful to me since I need to elevate my leg as much as possible! Once I was called up, it was simple and straightforward. I didn't even have my current AAA card - but they were able to easily find me in the system so it was a nonissue. They processed my form, collected the $6 fee required, and handed me my handicap placard - so easy! I'll always keep my AAA membership- it's helped me out more times than I can count and always pays for itself! It's absolutely worth it for the tons of travel discounts, help with flat tires and dead batteries, and especially for the DMV help! read more

Is it me or is it just a Monday? The moment I walked in the receptionist was not very nice. When I got shuffled to the back for an insurance rep, he was very short with me. This is my local AAA office. Only been here twice, both times were Disneyland related. They sell season passes here for a discount. Not sure if they still do. Came recently to buy the SoCal Resident ticket. Great park hopper discount if you are a looking for a good per day price. They charge less then Disney does. Before there was no processing fee to buy tickets here but the site they use now charges a fee. So you only end up saving like 5 bucks after everything. The way here is crazy and confusing. Lining up is weird, no real signs to check in. After you check in, you have to wait to be called to the desk. The wait was like the DMV but a little faster. Shares the same parking lot at BJ's, it was super packed. read more

A club that offers everything: mainly roadside services, but also insurance, travel and other services ... even passport photos. What's not to like? Apparently, their sales agents on the phone. Poor training and lacking on the manners. After my policy was opened, I quickly learned she gave me so much wrong information, and pretty glad I called back. It seems she led me to believe I have a certain coverage, when in reality I don't. Obviously, I was annoyed. Called back and got a guy. Equally short with the personality, but at least he made me aware of the facts. I needed to make changes to my policy & was already quite tired of their people on the phone, so I walked into this office. Checked in at the front desk and was asked to wait in the back area. As soon as I sat down, and agent named Danny called my name. This was the first time I had a positive impression of AAA. He was a lot more professional, courteous and overall better at explaining my options. Danny processed my changes while being very friendly, and he doesn't make any commission from me. Hindsight, I should have walked in here and given him the business. I have no hesitations on recommending him to anyone who has any insurance questions or needs. He's a great guy! As for the rest of the institution, their roadside service has been helpful in the past and got us out of a few jams, so that's why I've been a member for decades. Plus, free maps! Let's face it, my phone isn't going to work in a national park or overseas. 5 stars for Danny. Minus one for the lousy agent on the phone. I come here for many different reasons, but to narrow things down, anything to do with personal vehicles, car titles, and car insurances, this would be the place to do it. If youre looking for something to do with an ID or commercial vehicles, this isnt the place for it - simple. Oh, but they can do passport photos here and you can order custom plates from there, too without the ridiculously long lines. Ive been a member for about 6 years now and that little extra you pay for membership is sooo worth it because you get to skip all the lines (its like insurance in case you need to pay DMV a visit). It also applies to all your vehicles, and you save time - and that time could be for more important matters. Even their phone service lines are pretty quick - barely any wait time, and very fast to respond. If you need a tow, they respond with accurate wait time. Additionally, if youre signed in to their AAA app on the phone, they can quickly locate you as well. Also, if you use the same phone you used to call them, they can look up your account pretty quickly. Just remember, this works as long as the member cardholder is present at the scene - regardless if the problem is your car or not. If you want to add another family member, that is an additional charge billed annually. The one instance when i had to call a tow was when my friend's 2002 pathfinder wouldnt start - it wasnt the battery or the spark plug, it was something else. She had a mechanic friend on scene that pretty much said they've tried everything and she had to get her car towed home. Fortunately, i had AAA, so i called them and explained the problem. This was at 3am in Long Beach. The attendant answered very quickly and appeared on scene 15 minutes later with his tow truck. So, my friend lived in the valley, there needs to be at least 1 person within a 5 mile radius of long beach to be able to respond quickly to emergencies, and had to stay local. Lucky for us, the attendant was a professional, and attempted to start the car. He opened the hood, diagnosed the problem, and found that it was something underneath the engine to come loose if he hammered it at the right spot - needless to say, she was able to get home, and we didnt need a tow. My last visit here was because i had financed a motorhome. YES, a MOTORHOME. AAA handles those cases, too. I had purchased insurance, but for some reason, the DMV failed to see the insurance and my registration got suspended. So i brought the necessary paperwork with me - proof of insurance, my registration and even the receipt from the DMV site that i had paid a reinstate fee for my registration. With all that paperwork in hand, the staff at AAA helped me figure this out, and got my registration reinstated all in one sitting. The problem was that my insurance had a 1 digit typo on my card, and therefore could not verify a match - so they had called the main DMV offices and made the correction. I can safely drive my motorhome again. AAA isnt just for towing or batteries, its a safety net for your and your friends and provides you and your companions the peace of mind you need to go about your travels. read more

Was so stressed bc my vehicle can't pass smog (I need to drive more to reset monitors) So, just a tip...today was the last day to pay for me, pay your fees(cash,chk) show your Failed smog test, and you can get a 2 month extension for $50. Im so relieved. I have 2 more months to drive (or get work done) without getting pulled over. They give you a temp sign for back window. I've never had an issue here, everyone has always been cool. It used to be an A+ association but now it's an F place. Been a member for over 13 years and they canceled my policy, had to reinstate and made me open a new policy, which is bonkers. No loyalty. I had an encounter with a male insurance agent and he rushed me out of his office in less than 3 minutes because he had a "more important client." Sir, what? This place has mediocre workers. Horrible service. I need my car towed to a shop for repair. I made arrangements to meet at pick up location at 130pm. Driver arrives and immediately says I can't pull into to your driveway. I told him a driver in a flatbed dropped my car off the day before ( car accident) and he wouldn't give a reason why he couldn't, he was in a flat bed himself. No one bothered to call me back or to send another truck for pick up. I attempted to get another truck and AAA said they were looking for another truck. Finally at 530 I get a call after the shop i was taking to had closed they had a truck. So I made arrangements for 9am the next day and here I am at 1050 with no tow . I even explained the shop closed at 12 on Saturdays. AAA is not worth it anymore read more

I have been a AAA member since I started driving... Ehh, 24 years ago? Geez, when you write it down, it... It really looks like a long time... Anyway, this is a great AAA. I generally use AAA for the following: - fast DMV registration processing - hotel discounts when online booking - travel books - occasional discounts when I think about it or remember (Catalina Express, for example) Tuesday is a great day to visit this branch. Saturday morning is lively, but they always seem to get you in and out. I've utilized their Premier 100 mile tow service once in all the time I've driven, and occasionally I've used the lockout service. The company is always helpful, and I've never had a tow service try to trick me or con me into something lame like a "new battery." Just tow the car to my mechanic, Bub... He'll take it from there. On Mondays, Friday's, and Saturdays... It's a good idea to stop by the Starbucks in the same general parking lot and grab a beverage as you might have to sit for a while. Granted, DMV would be 10x worse, but why not enjoy the moment? Last thing: two years ago, we purchased a pop up camper from a relative in Oregon, and the vin plate had come off before we bought it. The AAA rep walked out to my trailer and managed to find the other plate, saving me a real headache at the DMV. They go the extra mile and they are kind, particularly if you show a bit of courtesy to them. Truth be told, that's a good policy for most business transactions. read more

I get in a line, a husband in front of me isn't allowed to join his wife and after getting in I have to stay 6ft away from the cashier even though she's wearing a mask and has this huge glass partition in front of her. She has the personality of a gnat and apparently hates her life while thousands in this state are unemployed. I regret paying for a renewal because I have a blue button in my Subaru that gives me roadside assistance but I'm not sure if its better or worse. So I pay stand back 6 ft, sign doc stand back 6 ft, and yay i get to keep the exploding pen because eww I touched it (dont put these in your shirt pocket.) I didn't know if at the end I should have given a salute and about face and marched out after this. It was easier getting my military ID at the Navy base. Not renewing next year w the increasing prices the amount of spam I get in the mail, just hoping Subaru Roadside assistance is better. It has to be as they track me by GPS and the last time I was stuck aaa had me unsafely walk a mile down the highway in the middle of Utah to find a mile marker because they could not locate me.
