I wrote a review on here the other day. The owner responded, but did address my concerns. We moved out of a house at which point we were told we would be receiving our full security deposit as a refund. We were not given a list of repairs that we should do to avoid lose some of our security deposit. We then got a letter 3 1/2 weeks later saying we were charged for carpet cleaning, painting, cleaning and gardening with charges totally $1,190.00. We were not given any receipts or any detail of these charges. According to California tenet laws, we are required to receive a walk through list of repairs that must be done as well as an itemized and detailed list of charges with receipts regarding these charges. I have asked for weeks for a copy of these receipts, and Progressive Property Management refuses to send them to me. I am 100% confident they do not have any receipts. They are no longer in charge of the property, so they have no way of getting the money from the owner. We left the home considerably better than when we moved in. We had professional painter paint gray colors over their lime green paint with murals that looked like they were painted by a child. We did not damage any of the property and we have proof of this. When we moved in the house took weeks to clean before we could even unpack! The carpets are probably 15 years old with stains everywhere. The window tracks were covered in inch think dirt. We paid for lawn care that was supposed to run every 2 weeks. We would go months without these services, yet we still paid the full rent amount. Progressive Property management is now ignoring our emails, phone calls and text messages. They are so unprofessional. DO NOT do business with them. We are in the process of pursuing legal action since they refuse to come to terms on this matter. read more

I would not recommend Progressive Property Management based on my experience as a tenant. Throughout my tenancy, maintenance and safety concerns were repeatedly ignored, delayed, or dismissed. I reported issues including mold and other serious concerns with the property, and I often had to send multiple emails just to receive a response. My experience dealing specifically with Selena, the agent, was especially disappointing. In my experience, she was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with. Rather than feeling that my concerns were being taken seriously, I often felt ignored or brushed off. She was by far the most frustrating part of my experience with this company. The problems continued after I moved out. I believe deductions were made from my security deposit for things that were either pre-existing, normal wear and tear, or simply not my responsibility. One example is the microwave. I had previously communicated with Selena that the microwave provided was too small and did not properly fit the existing frame. I have the conversation documenting that this issue existed and that I had already brought it to her attention. After being a tenant for years and taking care of the property, I expected to be treated professionally and fairly, especially when it came time to return my security deposit. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on everything I experienced, I cannot recommend Progressive Property Management. If you decide to rent a property managed by this company, I strongly recommend documenting everything, keeping every email, text message, photo, and maintenance request, and knowing your rights as a tenant. read more

my partner, his brother and I, apply for one of their properties, for which we got approved. There are things that you don't have control of it, unfortunately that happen to me, thanks God that the accident didn't elevate to a worst parent nightmare, I was very communicative with the person I was working with, but she was very pushy about me handle her the money without a contract or the other applicants being present, also the move in date was 4/15 she wanted the money before we got the keys for the property, that made me suspicious and contacted my landlord which they are a real state and rental office, unfortunately they don't have a house available at the moment if they did I would rented a house from them. Well I contact my landlord and I explain the situation that this lady was very pushy about the money, he told me that it sounded more like a scam because all she care was about me handle her the money because was all she cared about, she didn't care about my feelings of almost me loosing my 3 kids in a car accident, and one of them had to be transferred to CHLA for his cardiologist to check him, since he has heart problems, me been in LA all she keep asking me where I can meet her to give her the money, she was texting me when I was in the hospital all she said was that I was giving her excuses to meet with her and that she was going to cancel my approved application because all I was giving her excuses, she make me feel like I was getting scam, I let her know and she still not care for what I was going through or how she was making me feel. Now because she cancel my approval I have to wait 90 days to get the money from the cashier check. read more

After a few years off and on looking for a property management company, I literally stumbled upon Progressive. During my search for the right company, I had read about and learned from experience, several questions that I had that were of importance to me. I reached out to Progressive by email and received an immediate reply from Amber Gomez. When I read the reply, I #1 Couldn't believe the responses were almost exactly what was hoping to hear #2 Realized Amber and I would communicate in just the right way #3 I needed to meet with Amber to verify everything I was thinking was true. Amber and I met in a vacant rental home that was finishing a remodel. We spoke for about 45 minutes and I knew this was the company I had been looking for, for the past 18 months. To make things even better, Amber was going to be my representative. I couldn't believe my luck. When choosing a property management company, its not only about fees and costs (Progressive fees are pretty near the lowest anywhere) but I need communication . Fortunately, Progressive also knows how important communication is and they pride themselves on responding quickly to any issue or question raised. I have been a happy customer with Progressive Property Management since 2011. I have to say, they are a top notch company when it comes down to property management. I rented out my condo in SoCal with them. They found a tenant (two actually), took care of all the paperwork, and all pertinent logistics. All I have to do is to collect my check every month. Even the HOA payments are taken care of, so my life is really easy. My contact person, since pretty much day one, has been Stephanie Covarrubias. She is great. Young, energetic, and most importantly, professional. When I had to address several issues with my tenant, she did it on my behalf in a courteus and low-key, yet effective manner. She takes care of all property-related needs; answers her phone and responds to my e-mails almost immediately. I know, I pay for these services by the way of the monthly fees, but in my opinion, it is well worth it. After reviewed several services packages presented from 4-5 companies, I decided to choose Progressive to manage one of my properties. I was very surprised with their marketing performance after I received multiple applicants within a week. They helped me to fill tenants quickly and effectively in a couple of weeks. Their staffs (Stephanie and Bree) are also very responsive to any request (from tenants and mine). They are prompt with returning phone calls and emails and they ensure that maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently. They always inform me about the problem first and ask me if I want them to fix it or I prefer to take care of myself. I tried few times using their vendors, and found their charges are pretty reasonable and jobs are done quickly. We found Progressive Property Management after having a poor experience with our previous property manager. We were unable to collect rent from the tenants and eviction was very painful. We lost thousands of dollar from back rent to repairing damages left by the tenants. This all changes after we decided to change to Progressive Property Management. After our first meeting with Stephanie, she was able to rent the 1st property we gave her within 2 weeks. Now we have given her all 3 of our properties to manage. She was able to find good tenants for all 3 properties. She is responsive when we contact her or when the tenants contact her. Having Progressive Property Management rent out my property turned out to be a great decision. I have never rented a property out and was nervous going at it alone. They understand the all the legal do's and don't's and I was very comfortable going with them after they addressed all my concerns. They rented my property much quicker than I expected (actually within a week of first showing - I actually had to race to finish getting it ready they moved so fast). They prepare monthly statements and deposit the rent electronically into my bank account on time. I couldn't be happier with the service they provide. Progressive has managed an apartment complex for us in Anaheim for the last 3 years. They have done a great job dealing with any problems the tenants have had, and in keeping our costs to a reasonable level when we need to get maintenance done on the building. When we had vacancies, they were able to get new renters in quickly and are very thorough with doing background checks on the applicants. I live at Lido at Shandin Hills, and I've had multiple troubles over the years, But I can say when I have a issue to do with anything at the community I always get assistance from the manager of the community Trina Blair in a reasonable time frame.
