Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. My nails are crooked, and the Dazzle Dry looks absolutely horrible. It's uneven and messy, and definitely not what I expected after paying $140. The massage was also very underwhelming. For a 90-minute service, I would estimate that at least 30 minutes--or more--was spent without me actually being attended to. I was SO excited for this experience, especially because of the price and the whole "luxury" concept, but unfortunately, it just felt like a very basic and underwhelming pedicure. The headphones and eye mask were also a lot for me personally. I ended up feeling claustrophobic and overwhelmed rather than relaxed. Overall, 10/10 customer service, but the actual pedicure was a major disappointment. I've been coming here for some time now and every single time I leave feeling like a million bucks. With little effort, I can tell Lisa what I'm looking for and she puts together a plan and executes it immaculately. I am always blown away by her use of color and the way she cuts my hair. Also - I've never had a blow out as good as I've had when I come to Gemini of Chicago.
