Overall, I am satisfied with our experience here, but there are pros and cons to keep in mind. Pros: - Some teachers are excellent. - With kids that have water fears or are struggling, there is a secondary teacher that steps in to help. - Teachers are typically patient and compassionate. - Strong curriculum. - Generous makeup policy for missed classes. - Clean pool Cons: - Very expensive - 4 students to 1 teacher ratio for only 30 minute class time. - I have to follow up constantly with staff on evaluations and determining whether she's ready to move up a level. I wish they'd be more proactive about this. - Crowded waiting + changing rooms. - Difficult to get in touch with (no one answers the phone here).

My 2 year old for the first couple weeks wanted nothing to do with lessons. Miss Nathalia and Miss Hannah came up with a plan to help him become more comfortable getting in the water. He now, along with his older brother, look forward to swim class! I am feeling much more confident for their safety at home in our own pool, and love the fact they are actually learning to swim. We had private sessions the summer before we came back and tested. Our son got into silver right away. He has been on the level for 2 years now so I'm hoping he will advance sometime. His coach quit earlier this year so we are re-establishing with the new coach. There aren't very many competitive swim schools in austin and we like the convenience of Nitro CP. our coaches for intro are really good too.

We explained the concerns and the reasons for frustration. He offered a free assessment session the next week. The assessment session was very thorough. The coach, Michael, was very personable and informative. Robert tapped to Michael afterwards and placed my daughter in properly assessed level. He talked again at length to explain how the school works, who to talk to for information and how to approach him for any concerns. I'm very impressed for the level of care and customer oriented approach. I feel strongly about their commitment to focus on children learning and getting them ready for the swimming skills as fast as possible. I highly recommend this school. I'd recommend to any new parent to approach Robert for any issues. He's very genuine and friendly person.

I am so glad we found Haley Whatley Swim School! The ISR approach is not a good fit for my child…read morewho was terrified of the water, and it was a struggle to find private, non-ISR lessons. Scheduling is a breeze and they come to you, which is ideal for us. Our instructor, Mya, has been kind and patient with our son, and he has made so much progress in only 9 lessons. He went from refusing to get in the water without floaties to being able to hold his breath underwater for 8 seconds. I cannot recommend Haley Whatley Swim enough!
