I have been looking to get my tattoo removed for awhile now and saw a deal on Groupon for laser tattoo removal for about 350 for 3 sessions which is a great deal. I set up a consultation just by calling and the secretaries were very nice and professional. They even send reminders on your phone to let you know you have an appointment coming up! When I went in, the office was very clean and cute and all the staff members were great! I only waited about 5 minutes and was taken back by Amber who does the tattoo removal. We went over pricing and the procedure and she asked if I wanted to get it done that day! So I did! It did not even take like one minute before she was done and bandaging me up! Yes it did hurt, but they have some options that they offer which you can buy to help with pain. All together, my experience was great and can't wait to go back to get my next two sessions read more

I'm glad the overall consensus seems to be overwhelmingly positive. I wish I could partake in sharing my wonderful experience; sadly I cannot. I purchased a Groupon and had to wait about three months for an appointmnet at the DC location. Normally this would be frustrating, and it was, but given that there is one doctor for two locations, and there was a Groupon offer, it's reasonable that there would be a wait. The deal was for 20 units. That was perfect, as 20 is the most I have ever gotten, and that was because of another Groupon. The last couple of times I only got 18 units (in South Florida) and was amazed at the results. The day finally arrived, the DC office is nice and the receptionist was friendly. The doctor immediately tells me that I'll need at least 40 units. 40! This isn't a little bit more than I usually get, this is over double the amount I usually get. I told him as much and he said that there was no way that 20 would be enough. The whole thing felt like a weird business deal and I didn't want to walk out of there spending hundreds of dollars. Especially when I normally get less than what the groupon was offering. I once had a dr. tell me that the number of units arent as important as where they are injected, that's what really makes the difference. I felt fairly confident that as always, I'd be happy with the results and told him I'd stick with the 20 units. He didnt seem pleased but said he'd do it. It felt weird that he only injected me 4 times. Normally I walk out with an entire forhead of tiny red spots. I was already concerned but decided not to stress and just wait for the stuff to do its magic. A week later and I start looking in the mirror for signs that it's kicked in. My forhead looks weird and one side of my face is a lot tighter than the other. I figure it still hasnt kicked in and wait a few more days. It's been several weeks now and I am the unfortunate recipient of a bad botox job. When I look up, one eyebrow moves and the other doesn't. It looks ridiculous. The only saving grace is that I'm young and didnt have many wrinkles to begin with, so to the naked eye it isn't as noticeable but its made me so self conscious when talking to people. I'm afraid of making facial expressions! I could understand if it hadnt been effective like he predicted. I mean, its hard to understand because months prior I only needed 18 units, and he's saying I need 40 but if I really did need 40 and only got the 20, it should have still been spread out evenly. There shouldnt be such a vast difference between each side, and thats what really upsets me. At this point, I'd rather be writing a review about how stubborn I had been and my 20 units didn't take. This was my first time getting any kind of injectables and I was nervous! I'm 40 and I have some tell tale signs of aging like crows feet, forehead wrinkles, and hollow tear throughs. Amanda and the rest of the team we're amazing. From the friendly front desk staff to Amanda herself (she's the PA that did my treatments) everyone was awesome. I saw Amanda for an eyebrow lift and paid more than I ever have for awful results. On the day of the appointment, the nurse told me that I would need 32 units for a good lift. In the past, I have only gotten 22 and when I asked Amanda about this, she basically brushed my question off and rushed into it-- all she said was that it would improve the "longevity." Great. Now I have awful brows for even longer. My appointment was before Christmas and after a week I saw no difference. I drove 45 minutes back because I wanted it done for the holiday and insisted that she see me, but she refused to fix the issue until I waited the full two weeks to make sure it wouldn't "kick in." The two weeks were up and still no change. I went back and she goes "wow yeah there really isn't much of a difference here." 32 units in a 22 year old FOR OVER $300 AND NO DIFFERENCE????????? she "touched me up" at no cost, but now the outer tips of my eyebrows are "lifted" not the middle, making them two perfectly straight lines. I'm in a wedding this year, have law school graduation pictures in a month and graduation in two months. I had very high expectations after reading the review on Yelp. I visited the Timonium ProMD in February for what I thought would be a consultation on Botox. After meeting with the assistant and doctor they recommended fillers. It was more expensive than what I planned, but it seemed like the best way to get the results I wanted. I would say everyone in the office was very attentive and positive. The process was easy and I was pleased with the initial results leaving the office. I developed what looked like liquid sacks under my eyes shortly after the procedure. On my two weeks check up the office wasn't as energetic as my first appointment, but it's a business and it was just a follow up, so I wrote if off. The doctor said the swelling happens in 40% of patients and prescribed a steroid to reduce the swelling. He wanted to see me in 2 weeks to check the swelling. I asked if I could pop into the DC office because it was closer to my office and I hadn't planned to make multiple trips to Timonium in that short of a period. The Friday afternoon before my Monday follow up appointment, the office called and canceled my appointment. They said the doctor was overbooked and couldn't see me. They said I could wait 7 weeks for the next appointment in DC or they would fit me in the Timonium office sooner. I explain to Kelly that I had arranged a DC visit with the doctor and the options presented me weren't in anyway helping me given they were canceling less than 24 business hours before my scheduled appointment. She said she'd check with the doctor to see if he could squeeze me in and call me back. I still haven't heard back from her, so he has never checked the swelling. I wouldn't care as much if all the swelling was gone, but some days there are still puffy pockets that show up under my eyes. My overall opinion is that I liked the doctor and the office on my initial visit. i would say neutral on my first follow up and then very disappointed on the handling of the follow up on the swelling. The challenge is that there is no cost for the follow ups, so it's generally overhead and they don't get the same attention as appointments for procedures. The follow up may have gone unnoticed by the Doctor and completely the fault of the office, so it's not clear who dropped the ball. The office never called back and the doctor never followed up either. Personally, I think I deserved better follow up service for the money I spent. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Gavrila for over 3 years now and drive from Sandy Point Park area up to Timonium because I refuse to see anyone else. I recently decided to have Juvederm added to my cheeks and I couldn't be happier. The entire procedure did not take long at all, it was virtually painless, and I had zero side effects from it. Dr. Gavrila even texted me the next day (on a Saturday) to make sure I was feeling well and satisfied with the results. I've received multiple compliments saying, I look fresh or my face appears thinner, but it's not obvious to the point that it looks unnatural. I've been to many different medi spas and doctors for Botox or Dysport, and this is, by far, the best experience I've had. The Dr. is so friendly and caring, and he takes his time to explain the procedure, to go over his recommendations, and to make sure that you know what you are paying, before the procedure takes place. Hello.... need to give a shout out to ProMD. Specifically Amanda, PA. I had my first visit in August, not really sure of what to expect and what was available to helping to make me look more youthful. I started with Botox , they have an amazing deal that first timers (20 units/149) and every 3 months. I ended up going back about a week later to take advantage of their filler offer (buy2, get 1 free). So while that was a great start , I trusted Amanda and she invited me back to get just a bit more filler under my eyes. I can't tell you what a difference that made and now feel my look is almost perfect. I may need a little more, and will wait for another special. But overall Amanda was informative and her goal was my goal in helping to accomplish my youthful look. If you have never been to a place to get your skin care needs addressed, ProMD is a great place to start. Inviting atmosphere and lots of specials all the time. After Dr. Gravila saw my review on Yelp, he directly messaged me with his personal telephone number, and after numerous texts back and forth, we both decided that I come back into the office to see what we could do about my botched botox brow lift. I returned on March 15th. He pulls out my patient chart and explains to me that he treated my crows feet area which would have given the tail of my brow a lift. WRONG. Because I'm not a surgeon, but I like to do my research, I read that this is a common way to lift the end of the brow. When I brought this to Dr. Gravila's attention on my initial Feb 7th visit, he cockily replied, "Why would I inject that area? It would just drop it even more. He told me I had to trust him because he does 30 botox brow lifts a day. So why does your chart now say you did treat that area? When I brought this to his attention on my last visit, he told me to smile. Which I did. He then said there must have been an error in the chart. That to me is SCARY. So not only is my face botched with botox but now your chart is too? After chatting for a few minutes he asked what he could do to make the situation better. I said I would like a PARTIAL refund. The $139.00 that I paid on Groupon. I didn't even ask for a refund for the extra $301.00 worth of botox in which he insisted I needed. He still refused and said he would like to add more botox. I immediately said no. He then said he would be willing to inject some juvederm to my cheekbones which are already very promimemt. I hesitantly agreed because he seemed very firm on what he was willing to do to fix his errors. The injections were quick, but the problem is that after the initial swelling resolved after two days, NO DIFFERENCE. He personally texted me a few days later and asked how my cheeks were doing. I explained that I liked the initial look until the swelling resolved two days post op. He said I probably need more. This time it would not be complementary. For the past week I've been receiving texts from Dr. Gravila begging me to remove the Yelp review. I told him I was not happy with either procedure to which he called me an "unpleasable patient." WOW. I told him I would have been pleased had I not had to make five trips to Timonium for nothing but money out of my pocket. And also a tidbit of info... Make sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the 34 "not recommended reviews. " I'm not sure why they were filtered but there are PLENTY of unhappy customers of Mr. Gravila's complaining of similar experiences. read more

I went to Pro MD after buying a groupon. I had done my research and knew that I wanted Botox in my forehead as "preventative" Botox and I had had it done twice before in my forehead with great results. I didn't want to look extremely frozen. I was provided a consult by the PA who for 15 minutes picked apart my face and all of its flaws. She told me I needed filler in my cheeks, Botox in my forehead, lips, and around my eyes, as well as a laser skin treatment. Mind you, I am 26. I was completely stunned at the end of the "consult". When I told her I only wanted Botox and was contemplating doing it to soften the lines around my eyes as well she upsold me on all of the Botox. Previously I had gotten 14 units with great results. She quoted me on needing 20-30 in my forehead and 10-20 on each eye. I went along with the 20 in my forehead and said I only wanted 8 on each side of my eye because I wasn't sure if I would like it. At the end of the process she looks at me and says "oh I gave you 10 on each side since I drew up too much in my needle". She made it seem like this was such a good thing when I had specifically said I only wanted 8. I could not get out of that office fast enough. I was completely stunned on my drive home at the things the PA had said about my face. I will NEVER go back to Pro MD for ANY healthcare needs and I will continue to voice to anyone who asks my distaste for this company. read more

Amy F., the PA,is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and not at all pushy on products or services like other places tend to be. I seriously thought about the BBL laser for a few years and I finally tried it. The results have been amazing, removing years of sun damage to my face and upper chest. Dr Gavrila's passion and treatment plan for his patients health is refreshing. After moving from lower VA and a long search I became a patient for BHRT. I had been searching for a long time to find someone up here to continue my 6 years of treatment. I wish I can give this doctors office a 0 (CERO) about two months ago I went there for a eyebrow lift and until now I haven't see any results I already mentioned two months ago. I found them on Groupon, instead of buying the voucher on Groupon I paid them directly to them so at least they don't have to pay their share with Groupon in which I know the percentage is a lot, that was perfectly fine with me ,On top of the 20 units I paid Groupon price I paid extra $176 for some extra units, the nurse was very unprofessional (Kelly)- I kept asking her questions about other services they provide and she kept talking about my tattoo eyebrows saying she can do better job than what I have and the whole entire visit was about my tattoo eyebrow , they don't know how to sell other services. I been doing eyebrow lift for awhile so I know where they suppose to injected the botox at that point when I left the office I knew something was not right. I went back 3 weeks later and the doctor is like the nurse didn't do any better .
