I recommend going to the LUC in Okemos to friends in the area often. The first three times I came here, I had pretty good experiences. The fourth time, though, was a…read moredisaster. First, while I was waiting, another patient came in with a pretty serious laceration of the hand. Rather than take that patient into an exam room, they conducted triage standing in the doorway from the waiting room to the treatment area. Left bloody bandages lying on the carpet despite there being small children waiting in the area. Then, after being examined, I was assured they would send two prescriptions to my pharmacy. More than 24 hours later, they hadn't sent them, so I called to follow up. I was assured they would be sent "within the hour." Four hours later, still nothing, so I called again, only to be told they couldn't find any records of prescriptions to be submitted. Got a feeble excuse that the doctor on call can't follow up on what the previous doctor prescribes. To me, that's borderline malpractice. Any healthcare institution has to maintain adequate records so that if there's a problem downstream, they can trace the logic back to the diagnosis. NOT IMPRESSED...! And yes, I'm still waiting for a call back.

Their waiting room is run down and gross, but a mask will keep you safe from everything you touch, like the kiosk that you sign in on . Maybe this place wouldn't be so busy, if they opened up smaller facilities in more areas, or offered blood draws at their redi care facilities. KG
