I went back the following day just to get another sandwich. The stuff are so accommodating. So very friendly. We've been going there so long. They know us by our name. They could probably tell us our order also. My husband likes to get breakfast there. Typically he gets the eggs benedict which he loves or he gets the eggs Florentine. Everything comes out so nice and fresh. But you definitely have to try their fresh squeezed orange juice. It's to die for!! So if you're in town in Novato make sure you stop by. There is seating inside and outside.

If you're in Novato and looking for a good breakfast spot, I highly recommend stopping by Bacon. Keep up the great work, Bacon. We hope to be back soon!

Chunks of tender and crispy potatos with and chunks of corned beef..topped with sautéed red peppers and onions. Then they have the nerve of crowning the mound of beef & potatoes on hot skillet with 2 poached eggs!!! Delicious!! I loved the chunkines...I want to be able to bite into the hunks of unshredded beef and potatoes. Roasted Brussels Sprouts $16.00. This is a winner!! The Sprouts are over roasted on a iron skillet. You can taste a bit of crispy char. There are soft caramelized onions and real bacon bits added. All is tossed with balsamic vinegar. And its good vinegar... real good balance of sweetness and tart... then you bite into a bacon bit...now its sweet, tart and salty...so wrong in a really good way. 1 order of Ruben Rolls $10. You get 2 Ruben Egg Rolls cut into 4 pieces and 1000 Island dressing on the side. I am not to thrilled with dish. Rolls wonton type wrappers and is filled with a mixture of shredded corned beef and sauerkraut. The Rolls are Then deep fried and cut in half. I am not fan of shredded anything, not my texture of choice. The flavor is little a bit lacking... I cannot tell the if I was eating corned beef or roast beef. Our Server Steph S was amazing. She was helpful and engaging. Thanks for helping us with out spilled water!! Men's Room 1 stall 1 Urinal 1 sink Looks pretty clean, but there is a slight sour dirty mop water like smell.

Two companions ordered and raved about their burger. Everyone loved the crispy-on-the-outside and tender-on-the-inside fries. They were gracious to create a special order for me: 2 eggs scrambled with spinach, diced tomatoes, and chorizo; iceberg lettuce, plantains, and homemade hollandaise. Since l adore extremely lemony hollandaise, I asked for lemon wedges; they brought 3 and I could have used even more. (I really like it lemony!) Our server was fun, sweet, competent, and friendly. There are so many wonderful options on the menu--breakfast all day including omelets, waffles, and pancakes. Thursdays are for special pricing for pupusas I can't wait to try. The ambience is adorable. It's a Western theme. Our server wore a fringe vest. There are adorable stools (see photo!) that are actually as comfortable as they are cute. There are two big screen TVs that had lovely spring scenes that made me pause, smile, and soak it in. There's a rack of Western hats--perhaps for little buckaroos to wear when seated on the horse getting their photo taken. There's a huge white throne bench for photos, too. Super fun. I'll be back!

The salad with the sandwich was uninspired plain iceberg lettuce. The elote was mild, not bad and came with (yummy) cotija and mayo. The barstools at the front that look like legs are cute but the aggressive cowboy decor with white linen tablecloths felt misaligned. I don't think they know the vibe they are going for. I'd go again and try something else when in the area. Their menu is huge!

Attached to The Boardroom restaurant, The Speakeasy is a real find featuring a wonderfully robust appetizer menu, a full bar, and a daily happy hour menu that applies mostly to alcohol purchases. If you're looking for wine here, the bar offers a variety, with the house wines - excellently priced at $8-$9/glass - comprised fully of Rutherford grown grapes. Somebody here knows what's up. A friend who'd talked up The Speakeasy for years is besotted by the Marsala Sautéed Chicken Livers ($11) on the bar menu. Not ever a fan of liver, I avoided sampling his until we'd collectively polished off an order of Baked Goat Cheese ($10) and a trio of Pulled Pork Tacos ($13). He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. I already liked The Speakeasy a whole lot before learning my food and drink were free of charge. Like changed to rabid fandom when this occurred. I know that I can't expect a full repeat of this experience but even if it's just chicken livers and Cabernet, that'll be enough.
