This is my second review that has been deleted by yelp for this location. This is the kind of place I want to frequent, to be a regular. A little upscale and tasteful with great food and service I'd expect in a ski Resort town or in a more upscale area like Newport Beach, Santa Barbra or the Hamptons. Even the clientele eating there were dressed well, with groups of older chatting women, business people and other professionals. Our server was really fun and responsive, a highlight of our overall experience. The restaurant itself was very busy for midday but there was a parade going on outside and it was comfortable and clean. The drinks were good albeit a tad on the pricey side. The soups and salads were very good but overall the sandwiches and entrees our group ordered were collectively rated "OK", at best. Given the price-to-quality ratio, we will probably not be back unless we plan just to grab some soup and salad. YMMV. read more

This continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. Over the years the food, service and vibe have stayed consistently amazing. We often invite friends to lunch here and everyone loves it. They make a perfect aperol spritz that pair excellent with the patio and people watching. The penne al vodka is the best I've ever had, that includes Italy and I'm not even kidding. It's a MUST TRY. Downtown Cary, NC has great newish restaurants - one of which is Pro's Epicurean. Great servers and service - friendly and helpful. And a great selection of sandwiches and entrees. We had the large charcuterie platter and some pâté. It was delicious in a fun environment. read more

The food is only okay. The pastas we had didn't impress us, but the sandwiches are decent. The biggest issue is there isn't much volume for the price. We haven't been back in a while because the food is only okay. It's very popular, tho, there's usually almost all tables filled when we go. I got the Monet and it was alright. Good for a hot sandwich. The chipotle remoulade is a good sauce, just not very spicy. We also got the burratta, which woulda been the best thing there had we not ordered a cannoli. All in all, an okay meal but fairly expensive. We spent about $60 for two people. The ambiance is very classy and nice, tho! read more

We enjoyed our lunch here! Parking was a breeze due to the dedicated parking lot for the strip mall that contained this restaurant and a variety of other businesses. I ended up ordering the Michelangelo sandwich (which was basically prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted red pepper pesto, and a few other ingredients) and I really liked it! They were out of the seeded Italian bread, but I got the baguette bread instead and it was tasty. My wife ended up paying $2 extra for a side salad (instead of the Cajun chips) and didn't think the upcharge was worth it, as the salad was a little bland. The kid's menu was more expensive than I expected at $9.50 for an entree - we got the pizza baguette for our toddler and he didn't like it much, but of course other peoples' toddler experiences may vary :) Service was solid throughout. Overall, we would come back here, as I think it offers something a little unusual for the Cary area. read more

Solid fresh food packed with flavor at fair prices. Plenty of options including some fantastic sandwiches (but be wary that very few do not contain pork if that is a dietary restriction you may have). They offer some solid coffee as well, hot or cold. While I was to full to try out the pastry options, they did look quite appetizing and I will definitely be grabbing one on my return. If the weather allows I would definitely recommend the outdoor seating, overall inviting ambiance and plenty of seating available for groups small or large. A great spot to meet up for lunch. On the lookout for somewhere we hadn't tried and put in an online order for take out tonight. We got the Donatello & Renaissance sandwiches, The French Onion Soup & Bruschetta du Jour, and ended with a slice of the Vanilla Layer Salted Caramel Cake. The sandwiches were excellent, fresh and flavorful. And the chips and side salad with them were perfect. The bruschetta was great, again super fresh and a fun combination of flavors. The French onion soup? To die for. It's my favorite soup and I'm always on the hunt for the best version of it and bingo. Found it. It was perfection. I could talk about this soup for hours. Perfectly balanced the bread and cheese? Absolutely nailed the perfect combination of textures and flavors. 10/10. The Salted caramel cake? Don't skip it. Do not skip it. Amazing. I was a little worried maybe it would be overly sweet because so many caramel dishes are. But no. These folks understand balance in flavors and textures and this cake is truly a work of art. Except the server forgot to bring over a glass of wine saying the bartender all of a sudden got busy. We ordered the pasta with jumbo shrimp in a marinara hot or spicy sauce. Firstly, the sauce was not a true marinara It was chunks of tomato and had no flavor When it came out it wasn't hot It was like warm/part cold One of my guests had the same thing with spaghetti It had hardly any sauce and the spaghetti was dry Being Italian with my grandparents from Italy they should stay away from dishes like this Especially for over $30!!! First time to this restaurant and the food was very good. One of us had the Manicotti made with homemade manicotti shells filled with fresh ricotta, cheeses, topped with light marinara sauce. Another had the Arugula and endive salad made with with caramelized walnuts, sliced pears, blue cheese and Pro's fig balsamic. A crab cake was added an an additional item. Another diner had the Meclum Salad with a grilled shrimp add-on. The salad had a mix of young salad greens, fresh beets, goat cheese, orange slices, toasted pignolia nuts and Pro's aged white balsamic vinegar. I had the Salmon special, which was served wkth green beans with a creamy sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The table shared three desserts, a mixed berry cheesecake, tiramisu and a lemon chiffon cake. All were excellent, but my favorite was the lemon chiffon cake. Visited on a weekday for dinner and it was pretty quiet, fast service, and attentive waiters. The window seating was had a lovely view for people watching. Overall, the food was fairly good. The cheese tortellini was tasty but a simple dish. I added chicken but could have lived with out it since it t was fairly bland. Also ordered tiramisu for dessert, which was surprisingly good flavor. The proportion of cake to creme wasn't ideal for me, but still one of the better options for tiramisu in the area. read more

Came here with my partner and our friend and had THE BEST experience. However! Make sure you have reservations and be prepared because parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Truly, truly disastrous and difficult to manage with really poorly utilized commercial lots. The area itself is bustling and cute with several bars restaurants and breweries, leading to the parking issue. We did have reservations and despite the line out the door of people who also claimed to have reservations, there was a table waiting for us once we got inside and we were seated immediately. We all shared and appetizer (bruschetta du jour, prosciutto and balsamic type of item) and I got the French onion soup which was 15 out of 10! I had the chicken parmigiana and my partner had manicotti - both were VERY good. We tried three different desserts for the table - all were amazing. My preference was the choc/PB pie. I've walked by this place many times on my way to Bond Brothers brewery, I was always confused what it was. But I decided to stop in for dinner, and I'm really glad I did! The food here is amazing, I got the salmon special which was amazing but I looked at other people's food and the sandwiches look spectacular too! Everything was super fresh and seasoned perfectly. We were in town for a show at the Lenovo Center and looking for dinner nearby. Not knowing what to expect we made a reservation for Pro's Epicurean and we are so glad we did. The servers were so knowledgable, professional and personable. And all of the food we tried was delicious. Be sure and save room for the mouth-watering desserts. Best if you can make reservations but if not, there appeared to be quite a few seats at the bar and a counter by the window. This place is so cute and casual and a must visit when in Cary. read more

A hole in the wall kinda spot. This place was located somewhere else but recently moved to the address it's at. It works perfectly because they have beautiful outdoor seating as well as indoor. In good weather, I recommend sitting out. There's music playing in the background and some nice ambience. To start I ordered the Campari cocktail with prosecco. I did not enjoy this drink at all it was super bitter and unappetizing. For appetizer I ordered the burrata which was amazing and full of flavor. Came to this place rolling the dice- didn't know where to eat after running errands with my hub. Came to Pro's and I was pleasantly surprised. Pro's epicurean market is a good place for a brunch outing. Many choices on the menu make it for for a large group. We especially liked the dips that you can add with the house chips. The server was very helpful and accommodating to our large group of people who were trickling in at different times. I have eaten here a few times and the food is always good. The service was disappointing. While I am not germ phobic I was not happy with the was our server handled things. When the menus were brought to the table he had dirty dishes from another table in one hand and the menu in his other hand. I would have expected him to clear the other table and then bring us our menus rather than bringing the dirty dishes to our table. We ordered wine. When he brought the wine over rather than holding the glasses by the stems he had his hand around the top of the wine glass. We took Purell and cleaned the wine glasses before consuming. I know COVID is mostly over but that does not mean things should not be done on a sanitary manner. read more

The crepe and sausage were very tasty and well presented, supplemented with micro-greens salad and green beans respectively. My wife would probably not pick the crepe again because the thin chicken breast fillet inside the crepe felt dry. The chicken was wrapped in the crepe, covered with Gruyère cheese and probably melted in the oven. I like the open-face sausage as the sausage meat held together as if it were made with pork slices instead of ground pork. So, no identifiable pieces of fat or gristle, and instead the meat clung together in small chunks that require the knife to cut, giving the sausage unexpected but nice texture. However, as can be expected for sausages, it's slightly too salty for my taste for lunch, as it was more like 4-6 breakfast links worth of meat in size! Visually, the amount of food in each entree wasn't big, but it was completely adequate. As to the Chocolate Mousse cake, it was for me the best part of lunch, enjoyed with a dark cup of coffee. Although my wife resisted the urge for dessert, our waitress gave us two spoons and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her two tiny spoonful. It's what we call European rather than American style in sweetness. Totally excellent. While the cafe is not very big, it does have a good number of outside tables under a canopy, and the staff was exceeding friendly and helpful. We look forward to visit again soon. read more

Finally tried this place after many years of wanting to, and unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. I will say that the service from our waitress was very good, and there were a couple highlights of the meal, that being the coffee and dessert. But unfortunately, the remainder of the meal was not very good at all, especially for the price. Went for lunch with my wife and first ordered the scallops appetizer. The scallops were actually cooked perfectly and wrapped in speck. But aside from a few pieces of lemon on the side there was very little else going on with this dish and except for the flavor from the speck, the scallops were not seasoned or seared, and therefore had no other flavor. So while they were cooked well, it was a pretty basic appetizer. For our main courses, I ordered the chicken crêpes, and my wife ordered a haddock fish special that the waitress made sound delicious. I can't be sure of exactly how long we waited for our main course, but from the time we finished our appetizer to the time the main course arrived was definitely at least half an hour, and there were only five other tables in the place at the time. The chicken in the crêpes was overcooked and very dry, all I could taste with every bite was dry chicken. The dish definitely needed some sort of sauce or perhaps some more Dijon mustard on the inside, but overall it was a bland dry dish. The haddock dish appeared very underwhelming when it arrived at the table, it was a large piece of haddock with a sauce on top. However, my wife was pretty certain that the fish was previously frozen and not fresh. For $26, we did not expect a dish that we could and have easily made at home, with results that were much more flavorful as well. The long wait, coupled with the bland and underwhelming food, only warrants two stars, but I gave an extra star for the good service from our waitress. Would not bother going back. read more
