David is the nicest person you'll meet, but he's an incompetent PPF installer and an unscrupulous business owner who's not only a recently recovering alcoholic but is also legally blind in one eye, rendering his depth perception nonexistent. I brought my brand new 2024 Audi Q5 to him at his Sterling, VA location for PPF installation in December 2023 based on a friend's recommendation who had a positive experience with him seven years ago. I explained what I wanted done in terms of protecting the front bumper, complete hood, wheel wells, and side mirrors and paid him $1,600.00 for the installation. The first odd thing I noticed was that he was working alone without a staff unlike in his advertising photos then, when I went to pay him, he said his credit card machine wasn't working and insisted I instead pay his wife through Venmo. He said he would email me the warranty certificate the same day, and each time I asked him about it, he claimed to have forgotten and ultimately never did send it. During the initial PPF installation, I noticed that he was using a razor blade directly on the car body panels instead of pre-cutting the PPF and then installing it. He said it was normal and wouldn't damage the paint. Then, about halfway through that installation, he ran out of PPF film and asked me to come back the next week when he expected a delivery, which I did. The second time I brought my vehicle to him and picked it up, I immediately noticed that he'd left uneven seams on the bumper and wheel wells that didn't align with the body panel lines. I pointed this out to him, and his response was to say that I hadn't told him that I didn't want visible seams, which wasn't true, but he promised to fix them on his next trip back to Virginia in about a month since he had a flight to catch that afternoon back to his home in Florida. Within a couple of days, I noticed that there were a number of bubbles, artifacts, and debris under the PPF, along with many of the edges beginning to peel and curl. I called him about it, and he promised to fix it in about a month when he returned from Florida. The third time I brought my vehicle to him, he still hadn't fixed the bubbles or debris, some of the edges were uneven, some edges were again peeling, and I pointed out that he'd cut into the black chrome grille and one of my mirrors. He apologized and used a heat gun to seal the edges and said he'd have a friend who worked for Audi repair the damage on his next trip to Virginia. After several months of promises that he never followed through on, I told him I wanted to remove the PPF and get a refund because it was peeling so badly and to repair the damage. He said he wouldn't refund the whole amount since the PPF he'd used was expensive, but that he'd refund part of it and make good on the damage. Over the next several months, he became increasingly hard to get in touch with, claiming to be undergoing medical treatment for alcoholism-induced diabetes, claimed to have had surgery on his eyes because he'd begun losing his eyesight in one eye, asked for more time thanking me for being so patient, but ultimately stopped communicating even though I could see that he was still active on his Facebook page. After six months of false promises, I decided to pay another company to remove and replace the PPF, at which time we found he'd cut so deeply into the paint in seven places that they required painting, and they explained that the reason there were bubbles and debris and the edges had peeled was because he hadn't properly cleaned and prepared the paint surface for installation. I had a quote done by my Audi body shop that totaled more than $4,500.00 worth of damage, and I sent that to David for payment, but he never responded, leaving me to settle it with my insurance company, paying my $500.00 deductible out of pocket. In all, in addition to losing the $1,600.00, I paid him for the installation, I paid an additional $3,100.00 to have his poor-quality work redone, plus $500.00 for my insurance deductible, and $2,100.00 for a month-long rental while my car was at the body shop, all out of pocket to repair a brand new $55,000.00 car. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I absolutely had to in this case. The quality of David and team's work is incredible. He is without a doubt the best go-to in the DMV area for tint/PPF/ceramic work. I began shopping around for a place to get tint done, in anticipation of my September 2018 Tesla Model 3 delivery. I had also been looking into getting a paint-protection-film and/or ceramic coating. In the Tesla forums and in search results, one 5-star name kept coming up for the DMV area...ProShield Inc. And not I know why...David's service is incredible. He is meticulous with the details, uses top-of-the-line products...and yet, is somehow the most competitive pricing in DC/Maryland/Virginia. I ultimately decided to do a 40% Ceramic SunTek Tint, Full Front End SunTek PPF, and Full Body Brila Ceramic Coating with ProShield Inc. When walking into his warehouse to get everything done, it was like visiting a car show! Everything from a Honda Civic Type R, to a Shelby Mustang, to a Roll Royce, to a Ferrari...all getting PPF/Ceramic Coating work done. David kept my car for a few days to get everything work done and the results were magic. I even took the car BACK to him, after a recent fender bender to get things topped up. I have had ProShield do 2 cars for me. The first was a 3M PPF. He did an excellent job. No complaints. Last year I bought a new Corvette. In April 2021 I paid $2,300 for a PPF and $900 for 5 year Brila glass coating for a total of $3,200. When I picked the car up, and after I paid the amount for the total job, David informed me that he had only put on the protection for the 1st two years and he could not put the protection on for years three through five until after 90 days. seeing as how I have dealt with him before I was very pleased I wasn't concerned about this. I contacted him after 90 days to arrange for the finish coats. He said since it was garage kept I didn't need to have it done until six months. I called him at six months and he told me he would schedule a time for me to bring it in. Over the next four months I called and texted him at least 6-8 times. Every time he gave me a later date. Eventually he would not return my calls or texts. All I can say is that I believe David is a dishonest businessman. His word is not worth anything. Based upon this I would recommend anybody who is thinking of using the service look for another vendor. I find it unfortunate that I am writing this review especially after I felt that he was a quality businessman and honest. read more

I was very hesitant about taking my new Tesla anywhere and leaving it with someone for the PPF and ceramic coating. However, David did an absolutely superb job. He literally got off the plane from a trip and met me at his shop so I could drop off my car and discuss the coating options. Based on the other cars in his shop I new I was at the right place and he really exceeded all expectations. He pointed out any paint imperfections before he started and took his time to do the job right. This is literally all he does and he's really really good at it with a lot of attention to detail. I was recommended to him through a friend whose had many cars worked on by him, and he was not wrong. Did an incredible job on our brand new Q7, car looks better than when I brought it home from dealership. Very flexible, trustworthy and easy to deal with. I spent a long time searching/reading comments on car discussion boards about installers for clear protection film before having David Saya at ProShield work on my car. His name kept popping up, and and all the googling and reading paid off - he did a terrific job. David explained various options (partial or full hood, cups behind door handles, etc.), and did the work in under a day. Because it was raining when he was done, he had us wait a day to pick up the car. David is clearly a pro; this is all he does, and does it extremely well. But what was more impressive was how he handled my reaction when we picked up the car. He had carefully cut out the film around the windshield wiper fluid sprayers, and I mildly commented that everything looked terrific, but it would have been nice for the film to be underneath the nozzles. (I had not let him know that was my preference.) He immediately said he'd redo the entire hood at no cost. And he did, plus added a little film in another area, and wouldn't take extra payment. He clearly wants his customers to be not 100%. He also works in a shop with some really neat cars to look at, and detailing can be done there as well. read more

I had the entire front end of my brand new BMW covered in Suntek, from the windshield and doors forward. David did a fantastic job. You cannot even tell the film is there. There were a couple of imperfections in the bumper that David fixed easily. He would have redone the entire bumper if necessary. He guarantees his work for as long as you own the car. He even offered for me to come back sometime and he would replace the film on the hood when I told him it had been damaged by bird droppings, which can happen in some cases.
