This place is so cute! When you walk in you immediately had to the left and there's a line that has the menus in chalk so you can review them while you wait which I thought was a really nice touch. When you get to the front you can order and they've got a great assortment of pastries, right there for you to pick from which we did. They were a Scotch too sweet for my taste, but I can see how most people would just love them. Definitely felt homemade not mass produced which I also love. The vibes were immaculate. I would say very organic less trending more authentic. The food was really good. The pancakes in particular were really really tasty. Like a 10 out of 10 would recommend if you have anything here make sure you at least get a side pancake or it's wrapped in a pancake. The coffee is also self service and they have a little coffee station which is nice. I also appreciate that you don't sit until you are fully ordered so basically people can't park at tables which is really nice. The outdoor seating space right on the sidewalk is nice. That's where we chose to sit. There are lots of large tables if you have a lot of people, but also a lot of tables were two, which was perfect for us. The manager helped me work through issues on a very hard day when I could not figure out the proper payment method to pay for an order for my children lunch order after a long day. You order at the counter and choose your own seat. The food was really good, I couldn't finish the plate and I was full pretty much all day. The coffee wasn't my favorite. My friend had the strawberry matcha, which I tried and it was really great. I had the orange juice which was one of the most freshest orange juices I've ever had. First time here, and compared to other reviews I think I got them on an off day. Showed up just after lunch time, it was super slow, only about 5 other customers. Person taking my order was very nice, even if I had to repeat myself. Ordered a coffee and the ham Benedict, sub salad for the potatoes. No one gave me a coffee cup so I ended up asking the barista for one. No big deal, just odd since they explain it is self serve. The Benedict...was soooo blanketed in hollandaise I actually scraped half of it off. That's not a problem, but the problem was how thick it was...and not hot. Room temp, super thick hollandaise is a bit off putting. The beer bread that was the base was surprisingly good and held up to the egg and sauce well. The side salad was tasty, with different than standard toppings, which I appreciate. I think it's a bit ridiculous to charge $8 for a side salad sub though. Ouch. My aunt had gluten free pancakes, and I had the Maggie Cristo, which was a riff on the classic Monte Cristo, but with goat cheese and lingonberries! The sammy was fantastic!! But, as the counter attendant warned me, and I will pass along: you MUST like goat cheese to enjoy this, as it truly shines through even the other strong ingredients! My aunt loved her pancakes! The dining room is eclectic and fun, with some nice pieces of art around. The wait staff was on the "quieter" side of frequncy at the table, which was actually pretty nice. We enjoyed our conversation with minimal interruption, and the waiter was by a couple of times to take dishes. For the coffee lovers: it's refill-yourself-galore at the bar! If memory serves, logistics are a bit different - you now order at the counter, seat yourself, and the food is delivered. We waited in line for a while but the food was delivered quickly after sitting down. There are a couple vegan options - I ordered the Vegan Sink which I enjoyed and was a generous enough portion size to need a to-go box.
