It's healthy, it's fresh, it's reasonably priced, they have great variety - what more could you ask for? I recently tried the strawberry balsamic chicken flatbread special and it was super tasty! One of the main reasons why I came here was because I had seen a post about their wraps how they have plant based meat. I was really excited to be able to have the option to try something besides whatever the veggie option is on the menu. I got the Caribbean jerk "chicken" wrap which was actually pretty good! The plant based meat was pretty similar to jackfruit, the sauce/pineapple salsa had a good kick to it. My husband had a buffalo chicken wrap and he said it was your typical grilled chicken buff wrap. Overall the quality of the food was good but I almost hoped for more. Maybe their smoothies hold up to the hype and although the wraps we had good, I think I was just expecting more. Ordering was really easy and the customer service great. The space is really open so even though it was pretty busy we didn't feel overwhelmed or rushed. We actually didn't even get a smoothie while there but I look forward to going back to try one. read more

Delicious FOOD options here. I was surprised to see that the food menu was so extensive... Wraps, quesadillas, flatbread sandwiches, bowls (salad ones too!) and breakfast options. I tried the southwest breakfast wrap. The chicken was perfect and I liked the southwest sauce, not overpowering but added good flavor. My island green smoothie was bright green but didn't taste it! My Caribbean jerk chicken wrap with choice of side ($7.29) was ready in ten minutes. It was very flavorful, as was the kale apple slaw side. My order was made to go instead of dine-in (as requested), the music was a notch or two too high, and the receipt did not show item details (hopefully these were just opening day kinks). Thought this location was getting back on track but once again I placed an online order to be picked up at 7:10 am and at 7:20 the store was still dark and locked, despite the OPEN sign being lit up. So they took my money out of my bank account but didn't provide what I paid for. Not a good way to run a business but A GOOD way to get a BBB complaint filed because of this repetive problem. This location used to be very good, then they lost a critical employee and it's been awful ever since. I placed an online order 03/04/24 and when I arrived, the open sign was on but store was locked and no one was there. I called later that morning to request a refund, a week later, no refund. I ordered from the store 2 more times that week, both days the breakfast wrap I ordered was the wrong one. I was a daily customer here for the last 4 months but I can't afford to be now since I keep losing money there. Now before I begin. I work in food services so I do understand how it can be annoying when people come in close to close. I am also an enthusiastic Tropical Smoothie Cafe lover. HOWEVER. I went in to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe off 119th right across the way from Pinnacle Village. I do realize and acknowledge I came in 20 minutes before close. I expected maybe a little attitude or a reluctance to take my order, however I was told that I was not allowed to place I was greeted with a look of suspicion from the cashier, then denied placing an order because "We've already closed our stations"... I responded with, "Well, you close in 20 minutes."... She responds, saying "Well yes, but we already closed everything down I'm not allowed to serve you." I take my leave, with a sigh to myself because I am just off shift and do not feel like arguing. Somewhere else with a halfway friendly worker deserves my business. On my way out, after I sigh, the two girls behind the counter both laughed as well. I know I will probably just get an automated message from the company saying they appreciate me review, but I just want to say it: if you close in 20 minutes... which the girl admitted to me; you are NOT closed when I walk in just because you decided to close all of your stations early. I saw a few other cars out in the lot as well, with no orders, and since the stores next door are closed, I figure they got told the same thing. Tropical, you're losing business because your employees are setting the close time to be whenever they break down early because they don't feel like waiting it out until the designated time hits. I recommend anybody who wants that last minute smoothie to go down to try the Tropical Smoothie Cafe down in Lenexa. The girls there have never been anything but pleasant and are model examples of good customer service. Please uphold the same reputation amongst ALL locations. read more

Do NOT order delivery from this store. Twice now, I have received only a part of my order. This time, I ordered two smoothies, and twenty dollars worth of food. I used the restaurant's delivery service (Doordash), because they don't give you a choice. The only items delivered were the smoothies. When I called the restaurant about it, the young lady on the phone said she had no way to do anything about it. She said she'd call the manager and give him my number. Two days later, having heard nothing but crickets, I posted a complaint via the website. And now, a week after that, still crickets. WHO offers delivery service with no way to correct failures? And more so, who doesn't offer a refund for the items that are not delivered and are still sitting in the restaurant? My sister, cousin and I came to the grand opening this morning. Even with the crowd and the chaos, the employees were very friendly and patient. They tried their best and went above and beyond to help. The place is super duper adorable and the drinks were delicious. We ordered a Madness Mocha, Sunrise Sunset, and a Beach Bum. I liked all three but my favorite was definitely the Madness Mocha. It has a strong taste of coffee with a good amount of sweetness from the chocolate. Each of the drinks cost approx $6 but it's a lot and definitely can be shared between 2-3 people! Overall, this Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a great place to hangout with friends or just relax in general. Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back to try other flavors! read more

These are franchises so that makes a difference. I've done the comparison four or five times now and it's for real. The staff is never friendly like the other locations either. They have no options except smoothies. If you decide you'd like some water they charge .25 for the cup! Seriously they are charging top dollar for smaller portions than the other locations and then ding the customer for a quarter. Done. Not going back to this location! read more

Wow! I have never been more impressed by a companies management than I have with this store. After ordering, the manager (Alex) made sure that I was taken care of and actually made time for my (many) questions. He then started helping the other employees with their tasks ( unlike most places I've been to, the manager just sits in the back unseen) They were pretty busy when I came in, but the staff was incredibly friendly and the wait time was extremely short. Apparently they are under new management as of last month, which shows since I've came in here a couple times last year and the wait times were long. Fantastic choice of the new employees/manager. I will be coming back for sure. Quick, professional, and the smoothie was pretty darn good too. All in all, I was extremely impressed. 5 stars for sure! read more
