If six stars were possible, Robert would deserve it. I have been suffering from chronic neck pain for well over 2 years and spent literally $thousands$ on medical massage (deep tissue, Swedish etc.), acupuncture, cupping, seeding of ears, chrysanthemum tea, travel pillows, traction, chiropractic, self chiropractic, a little yoga, partner's half-hearted attempts at massage-- ok you get it. Here's what I know for sure: I must reduce the stressors in my life and go see Robert! As a patient of chiropractic for over 35 years, I was skeptical about the loyalty and reverence expressed by a family member regarding Robert's ability to provide relief employing a wide range of massage techniques. I was blown away! Robert is a master of his craft. The sheer number of treatment hours he has put in combined with his extensive anatomical studies he quickly identified a pair of previously undiscovered muscles in my neck that were the culprit and source of 90% if my pain. I got amazing relief in my very first 90-minute session. I could have flown to Maui 4 times to be treated by Robert for what I spent on all the other practitioners. Robert observes many of the native Hawaiian customs including the reverence he shows for the well-worn native stones he uses in his practice. While Robert has had a fascinating career journey, this is his true calling. If you live on the island, you are very fortunate indeed! I was vacationing in Maui and decided to find a massage spa outside of hotel. I generally get massages at least every 2 weeks,since my job puts a lot of pressure on my upper back , neck and shoulders. His massage expertise and years of experience reflects in getting the best massage ever. He massages both myself and my husband and we both have totally different body types and problem areas. Something you may notice in Maui, when requesting massages from some therapists, is a bit of a flaky response in returning calls and being punctual. Robert is always on time. Oh my! I don't even know that I can express how amazing Robert is. I stumbled on his spa Near the condo that I was renting in Maui and wanted a massage for relaxation. Robert was my masseuse and it was by far the best massage I've ever had my life. He was able to break down knots and when all was said and done, I felt so much better. One of many trips to Maui...but this time I decided to try a massage from somewhere other than a resort. I went to Robert and paid for a 90 min massage. He was amazing and worth every penny! On my feet 12 hours a day and work a very stressful job. He used hot steamed towels on my feet and neck. This was super relaxing and literally washed out all the stress. I was looking for a massage while in Maui in October. I thank my lucky stars that I ended up seeing Robert's 5 star reviews and booking a massage with him. I went to massage school and was trained in Swedish massage. That is the only massage that I'm familiar with. I've had chronic neck and shoulder issues for as long as I can remember. He not only fixed my aches and pains, he didn't hurt me either. He didn't do a Swedish massage at all, something completely different. He started the massage on my feet, not on my back which felt amazing. He has had years of training and put all his skills to work to give me an amazing massage. He did such a great job, I had another massage by him before heading home. If he lived closer I would be a regular customer. Don't waste your time or money going to anyone else. He is the real deal!! My sister was suffering from migraines and was in Maui at the same time I was. I encouraged her to go see Robert. Within one massage he got rid of her migraines. Of course it depends on each individual person but whatever was causing her headaches was fixed through his hands and knowledge. Robert is worth every penny.
