I absolutely loved my experience here. This was my first time at this poke restaurant and I had no idea how to order. The person behind the register was really kind and patient, seeing as I took forever to figure out what I wanted. I ordered a medium-sized bowl, which allowed for three different proteins. I got a lot of stuff put into it, so I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but I do remember putting in salmon, spicy tuna, and scallops with spicy mayo, crushed corn chips, and nori. I really enjoyed the food. The outdoor seating was comfortable, and I loved how everything was so thoughtfully made and put together. I also really appreciated how they made the spicy tuna gluten-free, among so many other things on the menu. I hope I will be presented with the opportunity to come here again because I loved everything about my experience here. I am very happy.

We ordered three different types of poke bowls. Reel Love, Build Your Own Poke Salad Bowl, and Rainbow Love. Hubby and I were an hour late due to traffic and the poke bowls all held up brilliantly. The toppings were still crunchy and all of us enjoyed our bowls very much. All three bowls were very filling and the cubed fishes were very generous. Ordering was a breeze using Grubhub. I had the regular-sized Build Your Own Poke Salad Bowl which consisted of 1 base (zoodles), 2 proteins, 4 mix-ins, spicy mayo sauce on the side (which accidentally was not included), and 4 toppings. I spied hot Cheetos and that was why I choose the BYOPSB. Between the thick cuts of zoodles, the spice marinated salmon, and the hot Cheetos, to the crunch of the fried garlic slices. There were so many textures happening here in the best way. The star of the bowl was the wonderful balance between the spiciness of the marinated salmon "Slammin Salmon" to the smoothness of their regular salmon. All the flavors and textures came together. It's heaven in a bowl. All the bowls were delicious and we all felt the fish was exceptionally fresh and perfectly marinated. We did not need to add any of the sauces that came with, albeit, mine was accidentally omitted.

Was in the Montclair area so had to figure out a new spot to try. Poke is my favorite so I was happy to see this option in the area. I got a regular sized bowl, and loved the customer service here because she advised that there is an option to add a drink and a regular musubi. Since i wanted to try Musubi anyways, i went with this option. They do have make your own musubi, with various different fillings and sauces but the add on is only for regular. Everything was delicious here, and fresh! The fish i tried was the special Hawaiian Ahi and Salmon - loved this so much. I was a bit disappointed they limit your toppings, usually in NYC poke options you can get as many toppings, but that was the only downfall. I loved the musubi, it was my first time ever having spam but i enjoyed it. They add their own Hawaiian twist to things here too, musubi was wrapped in 'newspaper' and they have special Hawaiian juices too!

I've been ordering from Proven Poke for years. The taste used to be great, but has since went down. They are giving smaller and smaller portions and getting smaller and smaller bowls while raising the price. It totally isn't worth it anymore. They are also charging for toppings and additions they didn't used to while making the bowl smaller. They went from deeper plastic bowls, to deep paper bowls, and now shallow paper bowls that are almost as flat as a plate. Over $25 for a paper plate with hardly any food on it.

During my visit, I experience good customer service; an employee helps me navigate the menu toward a Vegan option which I order, Vegan AF. I like the ingredients of the meal mixing together than apart; the Marinated Shiitake and the Pickled Ginger bring the most flavor to the meal without the Sweet Sesame Sauce which adds an entirely different flavor to the meal (which I enjoy altogether the more). The Tofu, Edamame, and Mango don't really add notable flavoring though provide different noticeable textural senses due to the Brown Rice being of a rougher texture in comparison to the other ingredients.

Reel Love Poke Bowl (kahuna bowl)

My boyfriend and I ordered two bowls from Proven Poke Co on Grubhub for pick-up and it was ready in a very timely manner. I was able to drop by and pick up my food right away upon arrival. My boyfriend ordered the Reel Love Kahuna size bowl and I ordered the Heat Wave regular size bowl. Although both had really good ingredients, unfortunately, there was so little rice. Even if they were going to be more conservative with the amount of ingredients, if there was more rice and the portion was bigger, it would be more filling as an actual meal. This was like a snack and we both were not full after eating it which was unfortunate considering that they were priced like a full size meal. So I guess it just boils down to how much fills you up, but overall the food was good -- just the portion size was too small and you should not expect that much rice at all to come with your bowl, leaving you with slightly less to fully satisfy you as a meal. May or may not come again depending on how much food I'm looking for in a bowl and how much I'm willing to spend, but this place may be right for you.

It seems that Poke restaurants are popping up everywhere, and for the most part they're all pretty similar, but Proven Poke Co, is different. Yes, they have a big menu of Poke dishes, but it's the other items they have that sets them apart. Things like Spam Musubi and Inari... and there are so many varieties! So, what's Inari you say? Inari is a type of sushi. It's a fried and seasoned tofu pocket that's sweet, savory, salty and a bit sticky. It's traditionally just filled with sushi rice and maybe some rice seasoning on top (called furikake), but if any dish is worthy of getting creative with, it's inari, and that's what the folks at Proven Poke Co. have done. Enter the Lava Bomb! Your choice of either fresh salmon or tuna, that's mixed with a combination of sea salt, furikake, masago, and spicy mayo that's briefly seared and then stuffed into inari that's filled with sushi rice and topped with eel sauce, scallions and crispy fried onions! This may be one of the most creative and delicious things I've eaten in a long time. If you try just one thing on the on the menu, make sure it's this. Ironically, it's currently only on their online menu, along with many other menu items, so check it out before ordering. I'm sure they'll correct this soon. I also got to try the Teriyaki Musubi thanks to the generosity of the owner who offered me a free sample. It was freshly made and also very delicious. My only suggestion would be to sear the Spam a bit more and maybe add the sauce in the pan so it becomes sticky and a bit more glaze like. The service was incredibly friendly and fast. They patiently answered all my questions about their expansive menu. If this place has any down-side, it's the parking, which is a real hassle. I recommend parking at the public lot behind Raymond's. It's just $2 for an hour and will save you from looping around the block half a dozen times. So definitely give Proven Poke Co. a try and definitely order the Lava Bomb!

I have ordered from Proven several times. At first, the bowls were amazing. We loved them! The past month they have slowly dwindled downhill. I kept ordering from them because I had hope and they were always "decent". Tonight, I ordered two bowls and both were literally all rice!! Hardly any of the toppings or the extras- alll rice. It was horrible. We ordered 2 of the bowls ($45 later) and it was terrible. If I wanted to eat mostly rice, I would have made that at home! I am completely disappointed in my order today and would not recommend it. It is unfortunate because we had great experiences in the past. However, I do not enjoy wasting $45 on bowls that are pretty much just rice- never seen it like that and I am incredibly disappointed. The managers should be embarrassed the bowls were made the way they were (see the pictures attached).

One of the best poke places I've been too. The marinated shiitake were so delicious and went well with zucchini noodles.

Really good standard poke bowl. Everything is nickeled and dimes but that aside, worth it.

We used to go there all the time for their bubble tea, ramen, and poke bowel. Their bubble tea is absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Their poke bowl has fresh ingredients. You get to customize your poke bowel on a paper, instead of having to pick right away in front of the counter. I was able to Google some of the ingredients to see what I would like in my bowel. I love their ramen! Now that we live a little father away, we still come here just for the ramen. I love the decor of the place. Brightly lit relaxed atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. I LOVE Waikiki Poke!! I've been a long time fan of Waikiki Poke & Ramen as an UberEats customer and…read morehave ordered more than a dozen times! So when an opportunity came up to meet in the vicinity of this restaurant, I brought myself and two guests to experience the poke in person. It did not disappoint! Nestled among a smaller shops in a strip mall off of Market Street (off of North 5th Street), Waikiki Poke & Ramen is a place definitely worth stopping by. There's ample parking in the surrounding area of the strip mall so it's a small walk towards the restaurant. Once you enter you are greeted with an Instagram-able wall, with various colored posted that guests can write and post messages. It was fun reading through them and leaving some as well in the end. The restaurant is small, quaint, and cafeteria style, the counter where the Poké bowl ingredients are visible is well organized and clean. A nice selection of Japanese teas and other drinks are available to enjoy with the meal as well as bottled water. The price is on point for Poké bowl of their size and the Sashimi-ed raw fish, and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious! My guests enjoyed it well. I was so excited to visit the place then I couldn't help myself by letting them know how much I enjoy their food and how many times I've ordered online. I wasn't sure if they understood me because they didn't seem very interested? In any case I still enjoy the food, but I think it might be better to just order it online for me as it is quite a far distance for me to drive to enjoy it in person. Overall, we were able to enjoy our meal slowly as we had much catching up to do.. The shop was not particularly busy during its lunch hour so the food was ready quite quickly, which was impressive. I would rate this as 5.0 for the food but 4.5 for the customer experience aspect. It is a recommendation that they at least acknowledge or interact with people who expresses positively for enjoying their food. Because this is not an open food court situation and it is in a restaurant even after you paid for the food and sat down and eat it it would be nice for them to also interact in some capacity just felt a bit standoffish in my opinion.
