Luckily we have family members in the medical field, so we were able to tell them what to check. -one nurse gave faulty advice and led to the patient refusing to take an important heart medication. Please make sure your nurses don't give medication advice. That is a physician's job. She told the patient to not take arrhythmia medication if his heart rate is below 70bpm, but he's elderly and has a resting heart rate of 65bpm. The threshold changes based on baseline conditions. It was pure negligence. I would give them 1 star, but some of the nurses that came are okay. If you have North Star come take care of your elderly, be present to make sure that they give appropriate information and know what they need to do for the visit.

Their skill level in medication infusion, IV fluid, wound care and complex dressing changes and explanations on medications and physical activities were better than any other professional nurses and therapists that we encountered before. Their professional demeanor was real and deeply caring. I have to admit that our elderly parents were saved many times due to these deeply caring professionals from the Livingstone Home Health Agency. If we have any questions or concerns they always answer the questions immediately. Many times we actually got a call from the president of the company. I strongly and highly recommend this agency without any reservations. I give them five stars.
