Went for my birthday and will not return. Food quality has gone wayy down and the taste is just awful. The bread came out with hard butter on it and a bunch of garlic all over it..mine as well just eat the garlic itself without the bread. Seats had lots of food in the cushions and it's just overall a down grade. It does not make me feel like it's clean. Dust everywhere and it smells like it. Great service for a busy evening. We had mozzarella sticks, lasagne, and ziti. Everything was served hot and there was not a long wait for dishes to come out. The family salad and garlic bread made a nice accompaniment. No reservations accepted. Even though reservations are my preference I'd come.back to try several other dishes. read more

We used to visit their sister restaurant Scalini's on Cobb Parkway for over 20 years. Since it closed over a year ago, We've come to Provino's for all special occasions. We had one of the best experiences last night at Provino's. Our server, Louise, was AMAZING! When I asked about a Scalini's dish that was not on the Provino's menu, she was able to get both the manager (former Scalini's manager) and the chef (former Scalini's chef) to make it for me. Our food was delicious, our service was impeccable, and our visit was well worth the 40 minute drive from Atlanta. I'm glad there is distance between us and Provino's because we'd be there every night. We love the unlimited garlic rolls and house salad. We waddled out of the restaurant afterward because we were more than satisfied with our meal. There's more than enough food to accommodate anyone's appetite, and the pricing is in the affordable range. Thank you again to Provino's and Louise for an excellent evening to remember. read more

The food is HORRENDOUS. I came in with 9 other people and not one person liked their food. It was to the point where we were so ready to go, we paid the entire bill and left. I didn't even want them to fix it. The noodles were undercooked, the lasagna was undercooked and watery, and the mozzarella sticks were cold. I will never EVER go back. read more

I visited Provino's in Snellville for my best friends birthday dinner. This place has a vintage vibe, very pretty and clean inside. We were a party of about 10-12 people so they suggested we waited for everyone before we got our table, and they a nice, and comfy waiting section so there wasn't any problems with that. After we got our table, the first thing she brought was unlimited free salad and garlic rolls. The salad is better than Olive Gardens salad and that already says a lot, and the garlic rolls... OMG! We got our drinks pretty quickly and we proceeded to order. I got the Chicken Ripieno ($15.95). Chicken Ripieno is a boneless breast stuffed with Spinach, Sausage, Mushrooms, Cheese and Herbs and oh boy it was worth it! Provino's... TAKE MY MONEY!! Our server was extremely nice and helpful, they know their stuff! Everyone else enjoyed their meals too, and everything in the table seemed so yummy. The rolls just had garlic dumped on top of them which left the actual roll very bland. The salad was alright. I got the shrimp and scallops which was very bland and I had to spend most of my meal doctoring with salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. I got tired of doctoring and just stopped eating. One person got the eggplant Parmesan. They brought out a huge piece of eggplant covered in cheese and it was almost undercooked. Also the spaghetti came on the side which was unusual and made the meal feel separated. Another order was the red snapper and spaghetti. We couldn't tell that the fish was red snapper. It just tasted like "fish." Other order of meat ravioli was just ehh. Nothing amazing about it. However, since we had a birthday at the table we did get $18.50 off of the bill which was nice. They have great garlic knots. Fair pasta dishes, but I can make pasta at home that would rival this. I think the lasagna is my favorite. In a restaurant, they can take the time to do it right. It was my first time trying out Provino's yesterday. My friend and I went to celebrate his birthday since they provide a free birthday meal. We both ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo. The ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant and enjoyable but that was the only thing we enjoyed. The pasta was undercooked and there was no flavors or seasonings in the whole dish. We ended up ordering sides of oregano, chili flakes, and garlic to make the meal more edible. read more

Over thirty years ago as a young married couple my wife and I frequented this restaurant until we moved away. We had many great experiences and fond memories of dining at this restaurant. We were back in the area after being away so long and had the time to visit again. The atmosphere and ambiance was amazing. The food was amazing and just as great as we remembered. My family has wanted to eat here since we moved to Atl, last year. We're in and out of Snellville all the time. Welp! we finally dined here for dinner. This is an extreeemly popular and busy restaurant. The staff is great and very efficient in their service. The interior decorum is also very nice and the food is good. Our meals came with all you can eat delicious salad and garlic rolls .... yummmm! We ordered lasagna and the pasta lover's meal (4 different pastas mixed together topped with different sauces). The salad and rolls were to die for and the lasagna was delicious too. But my pasta was a little disappointing .... sauces were a little bland for my taste. So, I brought it home and ate it for dinner the next eve after adding more garlic, basil and a pinch of sugar to tame the acidity (tomatoes). I also added shrimp .... it was deeeeelicious! Loved everything about this restaurant except my pasta dish thus I rated them with 4 stars. I'll be back again and try another dish. Hopefully, I will be able to change the rating to 5 stars. We have been here a couple of times. The first time earlier this year the food was great. We went back this week for my birthday and don't know if it was just an off night or what but our dinners were not great. We had the Pasta Lovers meal and the sauce tasted burnt and had no taste, the sausage looked burnt, and the mushrooms overcooked. The salad and garlic knots were excellent. We had great service and the place is warm and cozy. Really hope that our next visit the main course will be better. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant today (Dec 4,2022) and it was GREAT! We only waited 20-30min to be seated. The waiter was really nice. I had the chicken and broccoli fettuccine Alfredo pasta and it was the best pasta I ever had. It was really creamy and juicy. My husband enjoyed his lasagna too. We also had a salad and breadsticks. The food was really good. I had a lemonade and I didn't even have to ask the waiter to refill my drink he would just bring it to me. Very nice staff. Vintage, homey, calm. So, the restaurant doesn't look like much, nestling a shopping center. But it's apparent a fan favorite among locals. I wasn't super impressed with the food, but I'm willing to come back and try something new. We came for my birthday, and that's where this restaurant is pretty cool - your entree is free on your birthday (confirmed with your ID/drivers license). They get super crowded due to this promotion. bread was stale on the outside and covered in a garlic oil that is not seasoned with anything just harsh garlic taste salad was wet resulting in a dressing that falls off that tastes cheap and certain parts of the salad were soaked like the cucumber as it was floppy and the beets being mush veal romano was barely crunchy and had a "white wine sauce" that barely had any flavor the mozzarella was almost solid prob due to being sat waiting for the order to finish and the mushrooms were canned the spaghetti that came with it was angel hair that had the texture of barilla angel hair and was oiled which is a sin in italian cooking as oil in sauceless pasta makes it so that when the sauce is applied it doesnt stick which is what happened Friend ordered mozzarella sticks but the sauce that came with it was watered down and have barely any onions or garlic resulting in a one note based sauce which is bad for a italian restaurant but ok chicken alfredo was chicken alfredo chicken parmigiana was clumped with cheese and the pasta with it was clumped with cheese read more
