The Rudd Clinic is a supreme well-oiled facility. The staff is efficient, sensitive, and spot on from the reception to the recovery room. My doctor was familiar w/ my file even though it was 5 years prior, and I felt I was in experienced capable hands; the entire staff are no non-sense team of professionals. COVID protocol was 100% and again didn't miss a step of kindness to me. I find having a colonoscopy an uncomfortable situation all around, my sincere appreciation to all those who do this type of job at the RUDD - very impressive - you made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Very unhappy. I had Colonoscopy April 2,2025. After that I called 4 times to schedule a time to talk/see doctor Anooj as I had very bad pain but was told doctor has no free appointment time. Last time I was told to go to Emergency if any pain as doctor has no time to see me. I also sent an e-mail, as I was told on phone to do so, but no response at all. Yesterday Jul.8 I had second Colonoscopy, told doctor about the bad experience. Will call to schedule for next appointment as per doctor's notes given to me and see if it will be better this time. Year and a half ago I was delayed 1 hrs and 50 minutes, this year, July 9 2025, I had an appointment at 11.45 am, in order to be on time I arrived 25 minutes early, well, in this moment is 12.50 pm and I am still waiting. If they can not make it on time, why are they still giving appointments every 15 minutes, this is really a waste of time for us as patients and specially for those who have to pick us up after the procedure is done. I found the waiting room experience annoying. There is a TV monitor with volume too loud to hear staff calling patients names. Why is there any extraneous distractions that the staff must compete with? If patient care is paramount, turn of the sound so we can hear who's next. read more

While the pace and organization of the clinic is very good, there is a missing bed-side manner from the Anesthesiologist and some nurses who were in the border of rude; there is room for improvement in this areas. However some of the nurses were very nice . Also, after the result is printed, the Doctor, should and must give time to explain the result and also to see if the patient has any questions - even though the results are 'self-explanatory'. THE WORST experience of my life.... waited over two hours for my initial apt and then when it was the day of my colonoscopy, having not eaten for a day and a half and nothing to drink all morning, they made me wait another rwo hours in the waiting room, then another hour behind the curtain. I could hear the staff laughing about their weekend and going on about the clubs they went to on and on.... so very frustrating.... the staff did not care at all. read more

This clinic is a perfect example of how broken the healthcare system is in this country. Not enough doctors and too many people to treat. It's a recipe for disaster. You are just a number on an assembly line. Do they do the procedure you need? Absolutely. But when it comes to any sort of follow-up care, they put in little to no effort. You're just handed a brief pamphlet on your condition and told to go on your merry way. I had a follow-up appointment via phone booked (or so I thought) for a specific time, 4-6 weeks after my procedure (that took place on Oct 31). This resulted in me getting two phone calls from an unknown number TWO HOURS BEFORE my scheduled appointment. I was not expecting these calls and therefore, wasn't around to answer. It was also an unknown number, so I wouldn't have picked up anyways, until I heard the voicemail that was left from Dr. Arora, telling me to call back to re-book an appointment. What?! I called the office for clarification on this and the receptionist still assured me that he would call at my time. I didn't receive a call until an hour past my scheduled time and by that point, I had other obligations to attend to and couldn't talk long, but I did express my unhappiness with Dr. Arora. I was not communicated with that the time was more "fluid", and Dr. Arora would call me from an unknown number when it was convenient for him. What's the point of scheduling a time if it's not honoured in any way? I'm fine with that system as long as I'm being made aware of it, which I was not. My attempt at making another phone appointment was a nightmare. Dr. Arora was just completely unavailable and I was now being told I had to come in person because I don't have OHIP (I had to pay out of pocket for my procedure). To have it work with my schedule and his, I wasn't able to get in until Jan 31. Then I received a call a week before this appointment telling me that Dr. Arora is now unavailable that day (and for the rest of the month or something), and that my appointment will have to be pushed to March. Well, that wasn't going to fly with me. I was sick of getting pushed out for an appointment that would take 15 minutes tops! So the receptionist put me in for Jan 27 at 2:45pm, but told me Dr. Arora would have to get through all of his patients before seeing me (a bit of foreshadowing). The day of my appointment, I decided to peruse the reviews of this clinic and found that scheduling and time management are not their strengths, and many people were screwed over for their appointments --having to wait 2+ hours to be seen before just leaving. Also, considering the poor treatment I've received up to this point, I figured I would be meeting the same fate if I showed up expecting to be seen. So, I came to terms with the way this place is run and just didn't show up. It comes as no surprise that I didn't get a call asking where I was because THEY DON'T CARE. It was probably a relief for them that I didn't show up. Thankfully, I don't have anything serious going on, but it's still a condition I'm trying to navigate with very little information. I simply expected some basic human decency and hoped to receive some clarity from a healthcare professional. I now understand that this is often a big ask in this city, which again, speaks to a larger problem when it comes to healthcare. These people are spread too thin and therefore, it doesn't reflect well on them. Quantity has well overpowered quality in this instance. read more

Very organized. From the day of assessment to the actual procedure, staff were very attentive.

I came here for a procedure. Beforehand, I should have been advised how painful the procedure would be and been given the option of being completely sedated. Because I was not given this option, I screamed my head off (and I heard screams from other treatment rooms). Weeks later, at the follow-up appointment, I told the doctor that what he did to me was "cruel and unusual punishment" because that what it was. So, if you go to this clinic, make sure to ask lots of questions beforehand. read more

Provis-Rudd seemed more focused on procedural profitability than patient comfort. The requirement for two visits felt unnecessary, with the first visit appearing to be merely a formality to measure for sedation -- a step that seemed more like a protocol for billing. While it is beneficial to offer sedation, the rigid policy against performing unsedated procedures came off as inflexible and not entirely in the best interest of the patient. This practice could be viewed as pushing unnecessary medical procedures. I had the procedure done at North York Endoscopy Centre. It was performed without sedation by Doctor Fingerote, who is not only brilliant medically but also exceptionally kind and reassuring. read more

Showed up for my colonoscopy on time. Appointment started over 1 hour late. Staff was professional but the wait time unacceptable.

This was a very traumatic and VERY HOMOPHOBIC experience. I went in to get a simple surgical procedure for a hemorrhoid and fisher. Dr. Warren Rudd asked if I had sex with men , I said yes , and he told me "one day I hope you pray away your sins" and refused to help me . It was the only time I had to yell at a professional to do their job. Eventually he did after I threatened I would sue him for discriminating against me but he refused to freeze/lube the area where I had the surgery. It was the most painful experience of my life and I'm still not over it years later. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CLINIC P.S If anyone has had similar experiences, please message me. read more

Fairly efficient staff and things went more or less according to schedule BUT, absolutely zero Covid protocols in place. Not even a sign recommending masking. None of the clients were masked, almost none of the staff and even in the procedure room, not all staff were masking. Considering that the demographic that this clinic serves is largely in the higher risk category because of age , the total oblivion of the risks to clients and employees is reprehensible. read more

I was referred to this clinic by my doctor for an endoscopy for my acid reflux. I had to wait for a couple of hours, which seems to be normal there, but eventually I got in for the procedure. The nurses were professional and very good. Dr. Almamar however gave off a strong vibe of complete disinterest and almost zero bedside manner. At any rate the procedure was done, and a few weeks later I got an emailed prescription for four separate medications. And absolutely no information about what was found, what the pills were for or what to do when I was done. I contacted my doctor, who explained what the purpose was (it was for H. pylori) and said that there would be a follow-up breath test to see if the bacteria were gone, and to make an appointment with the clinic. I did that, and the lady who took my information knew exactly what it was for (the breath-test follow-up). I showed up for the test. I waited in Almamar's office for 20 minutes until he finally rolled in and asked me why I was there. No clue, no interest, when I explained my doctor said there was a follow-up he basically shrugged it off. Had the nurse give me some literature on GERD, I complained to her about this and even she was surprised that he did not want a follow-up. So basically I have no idea if the bacteria are gone, neither does he, and apparently he doesn't care. If you get referred to this place, ask to go elsewhere. From what I can see from the other reviews, none of the doctors give a damn, and Almamar is no exception. read more

The nurses are polite and gentle, but the doctor (Dr. Walid Abawi ) does not look like want to see the patient at all, I was asked to lay down on the chair for a couple minutes and told that my problem has been resolved without explanation in details. I was given the non prescription to buy salt and high fiber substance for treatment. The second day after the clinic, the huge blood came out to my bed during the night sleep. I am disappointed with non explanation and the foreseen problem I would experience. Really do not want to see this doctor or this clinic any more. read more

The clinic itself is fine. The nurses and the staff are friendly and polite. Doctor Abraham on the other hand is the least friendly and most dismissive doctor I have ever seen. He not only cut me off every time I was trying to explain to him the issue I had come in for he also rolled his eyes constantly and made 'ughhhh' sounds under his breath. He made assumptions about me based on my job (Bartender) that I am a heavy drinker, which I am not (not even a drink a day), that seemed to have changed his opinion of what my issue is and then made a comment about how I must do narcotics. This comment is more then unhelpful and can be very damaging to someones treatment if a doctor is making these assumptions based on his own bias and not on the facts presented. Let the patient explain to you their issue without filling in the blanks and making rude comments to and about them. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a doctor EVER. He is most judgemental doctor who does not listen and honestly I am anxious that he won't help me in the way I need. read more

I went in for a colonoscopy yesterday. Every individual that I engaged with from the consultation to the post-procedure follow-up was professional, informing and caring. I felt heard and assured. I couldn't recommend this clinic enough. I would choose this experience over my previous colonoscopy (in a hospital) in a heart beat. An excellent experience all around. read more

The staff are friendly and caring. Dr. Hamir is great. He made sure I was comfortable. One of the best clinic experiences.

I waited for weeks to see Dr. Richardson. The referral was very clear that this was to get a second opinion. I came well prepared with a list of questions and information. She was dismissive and did not appear interested at all. Her attitude was very aloof. She did a quick examination and was not thorough in the least. She then suggested the exact same remedies that I just finished telling her that I had tried for over a year with no success. I stressed to her that I needed something different and she said that I should go back to my family doctor and get a different referral. She shrugged her shoulders and said that there was nothing further she could do. It was devastating to have waited all this time for nothing. read more

I went in to get a consultation about an issue and the doctor kept talking about my other medical problems that had NOTHING TO DO with what I came in for. I have an autoimmune disease that relates to my liver and he wound't stop talking about it. After I had the checkup done I wanted to ask what the next steps would be. He kept insisting "I'll get to that", but would only talk about my autoimmune disease (ex: if I see a specialist, if I've ever had the following procedures done, the last time I had a biopsy etc.) This was fine to ask these questions, but when I asked why he was asking so many he said "Don't you want to be around for another 50 years?" which i thought was SO incredibly rude. He never helped me with what I came in for (mostly because I just wanted to leave) and the appointment ended after he told me that I "don't really take care of yourself, do you?" (in relation to my liver and the problem I had come in for), which was the final straw and really hurt my feelings. I don't know if he was trying to be funny or something but it made for a horrible experience. I would never ever go back for to that place. Unfriendly, cold and the place itself is not a nice place to get a procedure done. read more

Consultation day: they called me to say the dr. i booked an appointment with wasnt coming in so then i had to book an appointment with another dr. if i wanted the appointment on the same day. Day of procedure: Ten minutes before im about to leave the house, they call and say the anesthesiologist called in sick. My appointment was at 9.30, they asked me to come in for 12. They rewuire someone to drive you home after anasthesia so my mum had to go late to work. Follow up appointment: i get a call that the dr. booked the day off. then why dis you book me for that day in the first place????? never going there!! they dont care fir your time and are so unproffesional with their schedules. read more

Had to go here for an endoscopy procedure. My appointment was finally scheduled 2 months after my initial trip to the emergency room when I found blood in my stool. Completely on my own in dealing with it for two months I researched and changed my diet to start feeling a lot better. Was told the entire appointment for the endoscopy would take 1 hour, arrive 15 minutes early. No food or drink 12 hours before and you need someone to escort you home. I was waiting to be seen for over 2 hours. I was not told when I signed in that they were 2 hours behind or even that they were behind at all. After an hour of waiting I asked how much longer and they said Im next. Another hour passed so I asked again then they informed me that the doctor was an hour behind. Yet Id already been waiting for 2. Finally I get taken in for my procedure after 12 pm (appointment was for 10 am) which I was told would take about 15 or 20 minutes then Id have to wait for 30 minutes before leaving. After my procedure I was moved to another chair to wait for the doctor again. Other people in the chairs were drinking juice and water yet I was not informed of this to be an option. Having not eaten or drank anything since the night before it woukd have been very nice to be able to have a drink while waiting again for another hour and a half. After a while I notice the time is now 2:15. Finally able to leave after the doctor sees me and I make a follow up appointment. The doctor didnt see anything in my stomach probably because its mostly healed from tsking care of myself during the two months I had to wait for my appointment. I understand their job isnt easy and they can get backed up. But is a bit of courticy to your patients out of the question? At no point did anyone apologize or even acknowledge the obscene wait time. My friend who had to drive me home waiting in the waiting room for 4 hours. Maybe would have been nice to get a heads up about how long it would take. Frankly its just disrespectful and I see no excuse for this. read more

I was not impressed. I had a colonoscopy yesterday with a female Doctor Moore. My appointment was for 11:15 but was made to wait nearly an hour with no explanation or apology, yet they insisted I get there 15 minutes ahead of time. The anaethiologist finally turned up, asked me my name and then asked me what she should call me??? She had trouble getting the needle in my hand and as blood poured out called out for a nurse or a doctor but there was no reply, nor was anyone around interested or concerned. My confidence was definitely dropping. I awoke in pain as they were still doing the procedure and just finishing up. I had extreme pain and as the doctor disappeared was told by the nurse to try sitting on the toilet. That didn't really help. After an agonizing ride home and writhing in pain I finally had the energy to read the paper I had been given telling me that hot drinks or baths would assist...too bad I had not been given that information verbally as well especially when I made it clear how much pain I was in. I then vomited when I tried to eat half a sandwich, something that was totally unexpected. As parking is so expensive in that area, it is a good job that I had the foresight to pay for an extra hour. I had been told to expect 2 hours and it was nearly 3...luckily I got there in the nick of time. The reception area appears to be well run and my initial interview was thorough and nice...so this experience was totally unexpected and left me disappointed. read more

I'd never return. First of all the reason I was sent there was for severe debilitating pain that had been going on for months and appeared to be in my descending colon. I had never had a colonoscopy. There was absolutely no consideration for why I was there as the scope was literally shoved in, severely exasperating whatever was wrong, the pain was intolerable and the Dr. didn't even slow down while withdrawing the scope to look at the area where the pain was coming from. A complete waste of my time. Not to mention, the IBS which I had for the most part had 'in balance' was also exasperated for many many weeks after that until it returned to the 'balanced' state I had gotten it to prior to going there. As gay man I was also curious about engaging in sex again and the potential risks and how long I should abstain and the Dr. was SO old I guess he had NO idea how to answer because he totally ignored me and my questions. It was all around a horrible experience. If my family Dr. ever feels I need another colonoscopy it won't be at the Rudd Clinic. read more

This clinic is located in an office tower just off Hospital Row in Toronto. It is non-descript, a little worn down but clean enough. However when I went it was so crowded that my appointment was late. I have no issues with the procedure, however I do have this to say: I was extremely dissapointed that the doctor, T.E. Abraham, did NOT come out into the recovery room to tell me the results. I had to ask a nurse. This can't be standard procedure! Also, if you go alone, be prepared to make your way down the elevator and out into the street to find a cab home. Unlike in a hospital, where a nurse or volunteer will wheel you to the cab stand, which is definitely an easier way to get a cab when you've had nothing to eat for 24 hours and have just been through a procedure. Would I go back here again? I think I'd rather opt for a hospital setting. read more
