So happy I finally checked out Provision. It did not disappoint. We ordered bread to start (duh) and I had the filet for dinner with the asparagus wrapped in ham. Everything we got was delicious! My boyfriend got the NY Strip so I also got to try that. I prefer my Filet but both had great flavor and were cooked to order. I do wish we would have got the veggie medley but that's just personal choice. I also had a glass of Malbec and the Northsider cocktail. If you like Vodka and Cucumbers get the Northsider! All of their cocktails looked tasty. I would suggest making a reservation if you can. We had one and got right in but the place filled up quickly especially for 6:30 on a Wednesday night. Our server was also great. Took time to answer our questions, didn't rush us and knew the right times to come check on us. You need to make it to Provision sooner than later! read more

I've had the sea bass, the farmer's platter, and scallops, but my favorite? It was the chicken. It was the most flavorful thing I've had in a long time. It's chicken sausage, wrapped in chicken, wrapped in chicken skin, fried crunchy, and sliced like sushi. If there's one thing I wasn't wild about it was the dessert. We chose to try Provision for our anniversary dinner yesterday and it was nothing short of fantastic! It was truly one of the best meals we have ever had, and our waiter (Mason) was amazing. My hubs had the chefs tasting menu, and I had the chicken dish, and every bite was truly delicious. I also really enjoyed the design elements of the restaurant. It complemented the industrial design of Ironworks, but I personally feel the restaurant was more sophisticated and refined than the hotel. The atmosphere and the food will have us calling Provision our favorite Indy restaurant for quite awhile! read more

While the food was very good and well prepared, the environment was not good. It was very loud in the area where we sat not because people were yelling or anything like that but because so many people were packed into the place. Our food took 1/2 an hour or so to arrive and our waitress was so busy with other tables we didn't see her much. I've eaten at many Cunningham properties in the Indianapolis metro area and today's experience ranks at the bottom. Let me reiterate that the items we ordered were excellent, well prepared and flavorful. Our bill for 2 entrees and two drinks was over $164 which also struck me as excessive. read more

This place is so good. CRG just kills the food game in Indy. This is probably my second favorite CRG restaurant. Rize is my #1. First off the atmosphere here is really great. I think it's a really unique atmosphere in the Indy area. It's very chill and a great vibe for socializing. I think it would be a great date spot too. I want to head back in the warmer days to experience the outdoor patio, it looked really nice. Now to the food. We started with the shrimp appetizer. It was very delicious, very fresh tasting, and the shrimp were large. It comes with 5 shrimp - which I hate when restaurants serve odd numbers haha. Just a pet peeve because if you're splitting with someone the last one just sits there until someone makes a move! lol. Luckily, they were large enough to cut in half. But they were very tasty, I enjoyed the sauce much better than the famous St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. It didn't have any heat to it really so my taste buds could actually taste the sauce. Next, I got the tortellini. Oh. My. Yum. This was packed full of flavor! I enjoyed every single bit of this dish. I apologize for not taking a picture - it looked too good to stop for photos. The fried cheese with it was very delicious as well. Also, the presentation was gorgeous. My friend got the Filet, it was very good - melted in your mouth. She also got the brussel sprouts, these were good but I think they could've used a little more flavor or maybe they were just a tad under done. I've had better, but they were still very enjoyable. This would have been a 5 star review had the front desk staff been more attentive and customer centric. We walked in on a Saturday night with a reservation. We stood at the front desk where 3 people were standing, and lingered there for about 5 minutes before anyone looked up to say "Hello". Not one of them put their heads up, but were talking to each other. We were eventually seated, but not a friendly and welcoming way. We sat down, looked at each other, and said "that was ridiculous". Jeffrey was our server. He was AMAZING!! We let him know we were celebrating birthdays, and he took such great care of us. He made our night! Food was spectacular. I started with the classic wedge. A tad too much dressing for me, but the flavors unique...blue cheese was outstanding (thank god for lactase tablets). I had the special, which was two bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp. We asked Jeffrey to recommend two sides, and he suggested the two potato items (the adult tater tots and the potato bacon terrine). You must try these! SO GOOD!! We also enjoyed a creme brulee for dessert (which was on their tasting menu, not the regular dessert menu...again, Jeffrey taking care of us). Perfect way to end the meal. Cool ambiance and the bar looks like a great place to hang out. I would definitely come back, but the people who work the front desk need to be more professional and friendly. read more

WOW! Came here on a Monday night with a 6:15pm reservation with a girlfriend. We were seated immediately, greeted by a waiter that was VERY passionate about serving his customers and was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. I started with a glass of red wine, a free sample, and then ordered the chicken dish. I was very impressed with every time. The chicken was as the waiter said "unlike any chicken you have had in town" it was presented in several balls on top of couscous and green beans. Highly recommend. Trendy ambiance. Good service. We really enjoyed the chefs table as it's always enjoyable to watch the kitchen staff having fun whilst cooking your food. Decent wine list, nice cocktail options. We enjoyed the bread basket and the herb butter was super flavorful. Lobster dumplings had good flavor, but served sitting in the sauce so they fell apart and lacked a good texture. Filet was simply seasoned, as it should be, cooked to a beautiful medium rare, topped with a tomato jam and accompanied by whipped potatoes. The salmon was crusted nicely and cooked well but under seasoned. The curry sauce had a nice curry hint but underwhelming in flavor. It was a very simply seasoned dish, although presented beautifully. The loaded tater tottlers, a play on loaded tater tots, were very dry. They definitely needed the pimento cheese sauce served underneath. Overall we enjoyed our time together at the chefs table, but food was average and expensive for what it was. We don't mind spending money on food, but prefer to be wowed with the amount of money we spent. read more

Came here for Devour Indy and the short rib and scallops dish was nothing short of life changing. It may be one of the absolute best plates of food i have ever eaten. Once again Provision doesn't disappoint! Another Cunningham Group win. The interior of this restaurant is lovely. We dined on a Tuesday evening with a party of 9. (Called about a week in advance to get a reservation) The service was good and prompt, but at the same time we didn't feel rushed. I had the cheeseburger, which may have been the best cheeseburger of my life. (I brought home leftovers to my husband and he also gave it an exceptional review). I substituted gnocchi as a side. I am clearly in the minority. I don't get this place apparently ?? I have noshed here 4 times, and each time it has been a disaster. From poorly done fois gras, to dry pork chops. Recently I popped into giver it another shot. The wines were not of my liking, but I have a palate that likes Sweet Tarts....so perhaps a me problem. Just seemed dull and pedestrian. Soft shell crab was inedible. WAY TOO salty, literally I could not get past the first bit. The kind bartenders acknowledged that there was a bit of a dispute in the kitchen as to whether the breading mix was too salty. If there is a dispute of something being "too salty"...then ya have your answer. Replacement dish of scallops was barely above room temp and were not seared on both sides. Perhaps this restaurant does not sear scallops on both sides ? but that is my preferred method and the one I am familiar with in other restaurants. I believe it is important to the dish that scallops have the caramelized crunch on both sides for flavor and mouth feel. The gnocchi... I think it was gnocchi...was sparse, rubbery, and room temp. The other stuff with the gnocchi was also room temp. The bartenders clearly were not happy with the dish either...kept asking if I wanted another substitute, and offered a complimentary dessert which was much appreciated....but... I am not a dessert person and declined. I don't want to be "that guy" sending everything back. Convenient location for me.... perhaps I just don't get it ?? I wanted to like the place...but...4 visits is enough absent others wishing to give the place a go. read more

We started off the dinner with the tuna tartare. That was quite delicious. We both got salads. I got the Grow and my husband got the Wedge. They were a great start to our meal. One of our friends got the Lobster Bisque, which she said was delicious! My husband got the Legacy Prime Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection! I got the scallops which were delicious and cooked perfectly! We got the roasted tomatoes and mushrooms for our side and our friends got the parmesan cauliflower creamed spinach. Both were delicious! They have a good cocktail list and extensive wine menu. You can get the full food menu at the bar as well. The grilled peach and burrata appetizer was delicious. I had the short ribs and my husband, the scallops. We also shared a side of corn with pancetta. Celebrated a birthday here on Friday night. The hostess and server were very polite and let us move table and chairs around to accommodate our group. The server was very attentive and gave great advice on cocktails. I ordered the salmon and cauliflower creamed spinach. The salmon was amazing, the spinach was okay, not my favorite. My salad, Grow, was very good!!! Loved the dressing and the sweet potatoes. Overall a pleasant experience. Classy restaurant, with wonderful decor and location, attached to the Ironworks hotel in north Indy. Service was fantastic from start to finish with our big group for a friends birthday, even though the restaurant was busy. My water was never below 3/4 full before someone came and topped it up. Food is wonderful, we all ordered something different and it all came out together. It is a little pricey which put me off ordering the steak and some of the other dishes. I think this restaurant is catering to the business side with people staying from out of town in the hotel and not very much towards its locals. It was nice to finally experience the restaurant after wanting to try provision for so long!! read more

Environment notwithstanding, Please do not serve unwrapped straws with your bare hands. Please use a napkin. It's all about style and presentation. Not too mention it is gross.
