I went alone for lunch to celebrate my birthday and just got a Bellini, salad, truffle fries, and the caramelized banana split. Everything was flavorful. My food came quickly. My server was attentive. The space is obviously gorgeous. After 10 years away, I was so tickled to see where it was. RH Dining Room is one of those places where the experience is about so much more than just the food. The ambiance is absolutely incredible. The property is stunning and truly feels like you've been transported to another country. You could easily spend an hour or more wandering through the home and admiring all of the beautiful spaces before or after your meal. As for the food, it was good, but if I'm judging the meal alone, I don't think it quite justifies the price tag. That said, when you factor in the overall experience and surroundings, it feels much more worth it. I ordered the steak frites, which were excellent. The chef even brought out all four of their aiolis for us to try, and the rosemary aioli was hands-down one of the best aiolis I've ever had. I also enjoyed a glass of wine with my meal, and it paired nicely with the steak. The service was very good, though not necessarily over-the-top. We did have a small hiccup when our card was accidentally charged to another table's tab, but the manager handled the situation with grace and professionalism, which we appreciated. The food was good, but not worth the price. It's obvious that you're paying for ambiance over food. The rotisserie chicken sandwich was very good, but with avocado it was $34 and didn't come with a side unless you count the arugula "salad" it came with. It was odd to me that dressed arugula was served with it when it was also on the sandwich. We shared the sweet potato fries ($12 for a single serving). As for drinks, the spritz was good, but the amount of ice was comical. It was not worth $18. The server was nice, but there were only two servers for the entire dining room so several people were helping (not sure if they were short or if that's typical). My first time here left me wanting a little more and also a little disappointed. To start, the place is GORGEOUS and that had me already so excited to experience The Dining Room. I was there for a birthday and since we were a larger party, we were told that everything would be added to one check and they can take up to 4 payment options to split it. Just an FYI if you go with a big group. I ordered the Rose Spritz and I was taken back when I saw how much ice was in my cup. You can tell in the picture that there is more ice than there is of the actual drink which is quite disappointing because the drink itself was $20. For my food, I ordered the Aussie steak and eggs and it was good, but it did come to the table a little cold. So it seems that they were waiting for the rest of the table's food to be done before they brought it over. One of the people at my table ended up having to wait around an extra five minutes after everyone in the table had gotten their food to get their own food which didn't really make sense because he ordered a similar plate to someone else within the table as well. I think that RH Indianapolis absolutely brings a level of elegance to the city, but I also think that the pricing at the dining room is quite steep for the quality of food and drinks that is being offered. My friend treated me to lunch at RH, and this was my first visit (she's a regular). We had reservations and were greeted right away. Since it was snowing and raining, we walked in with big coats. No one offered to take them, so we carried them to our table--only to find out later, while touring the property, that there is a coat check. Our waitress, Susan, was amazing--attentive, warm, and she even acknowledged my birthday, which I appreciated. We asked for recommendations and she suggested the artichoke appetizer. So glad she did because it ended up being my favorite dish. I enjoyed a peach Bellini and my friend had a mimosa--both great. The ambiance is calm, peaceful, and quaint. Even though it's a large estate, it still feels comfortable. There's a lot to explore, so I recommend planning time to eat and then tour the property, especially in the warmer months. They don't do anything special for birthdays, but the food quality made up for that. The menu offers a good variety. Some may find it pricey, but I value fresh, high-quality food, great views, and excellent service--so to me, it was worth it. I had the chicken sandwich, which is brined and dipped in buttermilk. It was messy but delicious. The burger and fries were also solid choices. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was friendly, and the property was inspiring--especially if you love design. I had been meaning to check out The Dining Room at RH Indianapolis for a while and finally had the chance to pop in and treat my parents. We loved th beautiful dining space (of course) and the lovely grounds. In the dining area, one note is considering accessible seating options for guests who use mobility devices. The food was delicious. I'll admit I was concerned after hearing mixed reviews from friends, but we loved everything we sampled. I would definitley recommend this space for an afternoon brunch. With the larger scale & openness of the dining area, I'd be less inclined to pop in for dinner if I were looking for intimacy or a nice date night spot. Never had Wagyu before and the meat is definitely tender, considering I had it medium well. Love that hint of charred edge. It was also well flavored. The RH burger meat was also tender and juicy. The fries are crispy and enjoyable. For a very high priced place, service was mediocre. I got served the wrong Wagyu. Luckily, my friend noticed the meat color as he ordered a wagyu too. The server didn't bother to ask which one of us had the medium well and medium rare. Overall, had a great time with friends with good food. Ample parking is also a plus. Beautiful grounds and interior! We arrived a bit before our friends for dinner. So, we enjoyed some wine and stroll the grounds. The first time we went it was a bit chilly. This time the weather was perfect and they had areas set up for seating. Once our friends arrived, we were seating for dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had the grilled shrimp with French fries. The portions are nice and filling. The seasoning on the shrimp was very tasty - not spicy. My husband had the kale salad with salmon. Out of this world delish! There was A LOT of kale, but the piece of salmon was large enough to have some with every bit. Again, it was seasoned perfectly. Our friends both had the lobster roll. I literally got canceled by a potential date for my political beliefs 15 minutes before the date time. His message was derogatory and violent and left me shaking. I understand that a location like this can charge more, but it's still a bit much for what you get. $50 for a salad, $24 for a burger, $20 for fries... Also, beware that water costs $10. We were shocked when the bill came. Figured it would be complimentary since we didn't ask for it ("Would you like sparkling or still water today?") We hardly touched our water so it was a waste. My friend and I enjoyed our brunch time, but limited ourselves to a coffee and breakfast entree. I was disappointed by the food. I could have made a better latte, the eggs needed seasoning (literally would have been fine with salt and pepper), and the potatoes were essentially dried, flaky skins. I was not a food snob expecting a Michelin star-worthy plate by any means, but I was very underwhelmed. They made up for the food with a dessert on the house for my birthday. Came with a candle and my friend and I were able to split it which was perfect. We then had a great time walking around RH and enjoying the views. I've been curious about this property, the DeHaan Estate, since it was built, but just recently took the time to plan a visit to The Dining Room at RH Indianapolis. My husband is, and has been, a fan of RH for many years, so I thought it would be quite fitting to take him here for his birthday. The winding road leading up to the mansion features many interesting sculptures. The day we visited was cold and rainy, so the view driving in was the only outdoor portion of the estate that we got to view. Once the winding ends, you proceed up a long, straight gravel drive that leads to the mansion. The view is almost magical. It felt like I was in a Disney movie! A princess being driven to her castle for the first time. Entering the mansion, there were no greeters, or employees visible at all until we reached the host stand. There were no signs of anyone on duty for valet, but then again, we weren't really looking for them. We found parking directly to the right of where we pulled in, before reaching the parking lot, and we entered through an accessible entrance located nearby. I made reservations through OpenTable and requested a specific position in the dining room and that request was accommodated. All of the seating looks really comfortable, but I would prefer to not be seated back-to-back with strangers in the middle of the room where the half-booths are located. I mentioned on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and thought that they might offer or present my husband with a dessert, but that opportunity was missed. The restaurant and surrounding gallery/showroom are absolutely beautiful. It provided a backdrop worthy of a celebration. We came for an early dinner, just before sunset, at 5pm. We both had the RH Burger. It isn't described as a smashburger on the menu, but when I began to specify the temperature to which I would like it cooked, the server made us aware of. You are given an option of "some pink" or "no pink". We also ordered the Caesar salad to split, which they did for us in the kitchen. The Caesar salad...easily the best I've ever had. I have ordered Caesar salads at just about every restaurant I've eaten at that offers one, so I consider myself to be somewhat of a connoisseur. Immediately, it was evident that the dressing was made fresh, in-house. We requested additional dressing, not because the salad needed it, but because it was nearly good enough to drink! The extremely crunchy, parmesan-crusted croutons were a unique and delightful surprise as well. I'm actually shocked that I haven't been back already for that reason alone. The burgers were really good too. Mine was cooked perfectly. It was slightly pink in the middle, juicy and flavorful. All of the toppings complemented it perfectly. Gorgeous atmosphere. Good service. We were easy customers, though. We drank water and didn't ask for anything additional aside from the extra salad dressing. I'm not going to lie, the place is a little pricey, but the ambiance makes it worth it. After our meal, we walked around, exploring the gallery, which made for the perfect ending to our night before heading home. (Sidenote: It would've been nice to learn a little bit more about the estate, but there weren't any employees around during our self-guided tour.) read more

What can I say that the other yelpers haven't already said? This place is absolutely gorgeous and for it to be in the middle of Indianapolis makes it more amazing. I loved it soo much that I am taking my parents here for their 50th wedding anniversary! The restaurant/store is the highlight with picture perfect views in any angle. The employees here are also very friendly and helpful. My husband and I were taking photos, and they even offered to take it for us. Once inside, the food is beautifully plated. Prices are definitely high, but you get what you pay for. The salad portion is big enough to share amongst two people. The lobster roll with caviar was a perfect bite. The salmon was delicious, and the whipped potatoes was the star of the night. I recommend coming here to celebrate a special occasion; your date won't be disappointed! read more

If you're looking for a place with views and are okay with average food at a steep price, this is the one! As you enter the estate, you follow directions to the parking which is a pretty decent size for the restaurant. I'd made an OpenTable reservation and was glad I did. Their weekend brunch is very popular. I checked in at the front desk and because our table wasn't ready, we decided to take a tour of their galleries. Excellent open floor plan with lots of natural light and neutral tones. We quickly received a text that our table was ready and we were seated promptly. We place our drinks order with the server - they do have a couple flavored lattes and we were impressed by the wine and cocktail list too. Coming to the part about 3 stars... so I knew going in that it'll be a pricey restaurant with limited options and small portions. We placed the order - one avocado toast with a side of crisp rosemary potatoes and one American breakfast. Our order took 35-40 mins to arrive from the time we ordered. The avocado toast was fine - nothing great for $18 but my friend and I felt that the potatoes were bland. We had to ask our server to bring some dipping sauce as the potatoes lacked flavor and were simply fried. I also noticed the salmon entree someone ordered at the next table and it was just an 8oz salmon and had nothing else on the plate. We came here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! Our server was fantastic. She was kind, helpful and nonjudgmental especially when I asked questions about the dinner or drinks. The mansion is spacious with good room between tables. The dining room was beautiful with lots of natural lighting and decadence. Many folks were there from every age group to race. Several families with littles and bathrooms with changing tables. The food was the best I ever had! I discovered a new favorite wine, the Rioja! Our reservation was a little later so we wish we had more time to explore the grounds and showrooms afterward. The manager was super nice and ordered the Strawberries and cream for us to celebrate (being lactose intolerant I only had some strawberries). Only a couple things to note: they did not have sufficient dairy free or vegan options especially for dessert. And we ended up in a "closed space" on accident and was met with a maybe "too professional" gentleman escorting us out. While that was awkward it doesn't affect how we felt about the experience or food as a whole. Can't wait to go again! Definitely save money for this spot!! After visiting the Meatpacking location in NYC, I HAD to check out the newly opened RH nestled on a 150+ acre estate, 25 minutes from downtown. This place is absolutely beautiful; even in the winter, the grounds are meticulous and nicely maintained. When you walk into restaurant, the high ceilings and timeless chandeliers really take your breath away. Words really can't do this place justice, you just have to see it! While the menu was quite similar to the NYC location, our waitress was very sweet and gave us her recommendations and top choices. Unfortunately, the one item that I ordered and was different from NYC, also what Indy is known for (their rotisserie chicken ::drool::), sold out. This caused a little bit of an additional wait time for our meal and slowed our day down a bit. Highly suggest walking the showroom while you wait for your meal, as they recommended. Nonetheless, we both enjoyed our meals and drinks immensely. I settled on the lobster roll, with Caesar salad and my date tried the burger and sweet potato fries. No complaints on the food at all! Fresh, warm and delicious. For the additional wait, the manager removed the lobster roll from our bill, and I thought that was a nice touch and great customer service. Add RH to your reservation list and don't forget to check out the show room during and after your visit. Ps- the coffee bar in the show room is a game changer. I've passed by this large bricked fence several times over the years, so I definitely was interested in visiting. The immaculate grounds are well kept and the long winding driving way unveils the massive estate. The ambiance is definitely 5 stars. The large dining room is nicely decorated and I loved the ceiling fixtures. The balcony on the back offers a serene setting surrounded by water. Everyone loves RH furniture even if it doesn't make sense to spend thousands on furniture for most. The dining experience at RH is a good one, service is top notch and the vibes are fancy - people overdress for sure. Food is on the pricy side of things but to be expected with something like this. Drink options are limited, good wine selection but otherwise limited. I had the burger and fries, fries were perfect and the burger was not bad. For a truly special experience, the Dining Room at RH is the place to go. We went for brunch this morning and were blown away by the mansion and spectacular grounds of DeHaan estate. We made reservations ahead of time, but arrived early to take a few pics. We were seated at a table for two fairly quickly. Jackie, our server was great. She was friendly, checked on us frequently, made menu suggestions and kept water glasses full. All the servers were attentive and kept an eye on everyone, not just their own tables. Food came out quickly for us. Five star service. The staff treated us like royalty. I had Sparr Brut and my husband had a beer. I ordered the Mulholland Drive Salad, which is an upscale version of a Cobb salad. Chicken, cheese, beets, tomato, egg, bacon, lettuce were precision chopped and topped with perfectly ripe avocado. The salad was delicious and filling. My husband had the RH Scramble. The sourdough toast stole the show. The toast was fire toasted and had great flavor. The scrambled eggs and avocado were good. The only complaint I had was that the tables are close together and it is hard to have a conversation with people seated on both sides. It seems that there is enough space in the mansion to spread out the tables a bit without losing showroom space. The estate is lovely and our server encouraged us to explore with our drinks. I had to sit on this review for a while before deciding on a rating. I was with a large party, yet we were seated around an hour late to our reservation. The staff were very kind with us and gave us complimentary fried artichoke as an appetizer and crème brûlée as a dessert. I appreciate these as an offer to make amends, but this does not impact my rating. For my dinner, I ordered a prime rib sandwich of some kind. I don't remember the exact name, but I do remember it being a $32 sandwich, which is one of the cheaper options for their menu. That's fine, I recognize that higher end restaurants have higher prices. I don't think it's a very reasonable serving for the price, as it even seemed smaller than a typical restaurant sandwich. It was also just alright. That could have been my enhanced appetite from the wait. And yet, I still wasn't quite full after app, dinner, and dessert. One of my passions as a yelper is to help educate others on restaurants in terms of their value per meal. This is where I lose another star. Overall, I did enjoy the visit as there's gorgeous showrooms and one that even has a drink bar to order from. The premise of this place is that it was built from an old philanthropist's mansion and you can buy the furniture from the showrooms. This place is a vibe. I felt like I was eating at a restaurant out of town, like once I drove behind the grand wall of Michigan Rd, I was not in Indianapolis anymore. Brunch at RH is very nice, the walk through of the showrooms, the coffee and wine bar, the outdoor terrace to take pictures make the time there memorable. I was attending a birthday brunch, so for my meal, I got the American Breakfast that had eggs, sausage, potatoes, and ciabatta bread with some fresh jam. Everything was so good. I also had the Green juice drink, that was so refreshing and matched my outfit of the day. The service was great. Our server was so attentive of the needs of my party of 14. We came with our 9 month old and they went out of the way to make him welcome. They brought out some sliced fruit for him and the high chairs were the nicest of any restaurant we have been too. Unfortunately, my mom's salad had way too many croutons, but she was happy with the salmon. I liked mine, though I wasn't a fan of the dressing. Just a heads-up, the Caesar dressing here is more of an olive oil base with Parmesan and seasonings, not the creamy kind that I personally love. On my dining experience alone this would have been five stars but my companion ordered the Caesar salad and was so disappointed in it that she barely touched it after having a marvelous rendition previously. The drinks were great, the service was top notch, and exploring the grounds was a surreal experience. My friend had warned me going in that the place is a hotspot for influencers but it was still interesting to see the variety of clothing styles. It doesn't feel like this is 12 minutes from broad ripple. We sat in a beautiful half shaped booth. The property is stunning and the drinks were delicious. We ordered the orange spritz and they were very good. The service was extremely friendly, but pretty slow. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy but it took quite a bit of time to get drinks. My friend ordered another drink and it took a good 30-40 minutes until it arrived. It took a really long time to get our checks, so we walked outside for some photos while we waited. The food was okay, I'm basing that off price. I understood I was paying for the experience and atmosphere but food was just eh. We ordered the burrata app, Ceasar salad, and I got the chicken sandwich. All pretty basic items but they were okay. My bill for two drinks, chicken sandwich and split the burrata was $82. Would I go back? Absolutely, it is a photo op heaven- but I did expect a little more for how fancy it felt inside. read more

Special birthday lunch! Booked a reservation on a Wednesday for lunch for my birthday. Dining room was busy, but not full mid week and we were seated right away. The food was delicious! A small, but robust and well done lunch menu that included breakfast options. We started with the chips and dips with caviar and it was worth it! The homemade potato chips were paper thin and the perfect vessel to deliver the fresh creme fraiche and caviar to your mouth. I ordered the lobster roll. It was good, but a little lacking on the lobster. Definitely had way less lobster than what is pictured on the website. My husband ordered the petite filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly to his request. We shared the truffled fries which were delicious and there was plenty of them! We couldn't finish them. For dessert we had the butterscotch brulee. I was a tiny bit disappointed as it was my birthday and that was noted on my reservation. I watched two other desserts go by with birthday candles and was excited for mine to show up but, when our dessert arrived, there was no candle or happy birthday for me. I know it was noted on my reservation as the host, before seating us, said he saw it was my birthday and he did wish me a happy birthday. A bit of a letdown after an enjoyable birthday lunch. The dining ambiance was great. Vast windows and impactful lighting made this a beautiful dining area. I would like to dine at night and see it in its converse state. It was fun to walk around the inside of the mansion, but the real stunner is the outside and the patio. The patio overlooks a little lake and it's stunning out there. Landscaping is gorgeous and there are sculptures dotted around the property. Things that I would have liked to seen... With the outdoors being so beautiful and there being so much acreage, much with art, it would be great if there was a walking path people could take around the lake and around to see the art. I was also very curious of the history of the estate, but couldn't find anything around the premises that noted the history. The information I gleaned later was from a Google search, but it would be nice if the history was made available on property in some form. read more

What a concept! Gourmet food, white glove service, elegant ambience, and furniture shopping in galleries that were the home of a billionaire! I enjoyed a Caesar salad and a lobster roll while my date enjoyed a ribeye sandwich, and our friends enjoyed a filet mignon and fillet of salmon. All four dishes were expertly prepared and served as ordered. The butterscotch crème brûlée was sweet, rich, creamy, and delicious. Truly, there are no adequate words to describe it! As we were finishing up and leaving the dinner table, a member of the staff offered us a glass of wine and an invitation to wander the downstairs and upstairs rooms of the mansion, which are now Restoration Hardware furniture showroom space. I have never enjoyed furniture shopping to this degree. I recommend the restaurant and the furniture galleries. They are truly 5-star. read more

My boyfriend took me here for our early 3 years and it was so beautiful and the food was delicious, I've grown up with going to RH when it was as the fashion mall with my mom as a young girl so seeing all the beautiful furniture before our reservation was a nice experience we frequently travel to Vegas and when we come back home we always miss the dining experience out there and here brought us right back !! Especially with them offering several different "fancier" dishes you don't normally see here in Indy, i ordered the caviar dip for our appetizer which was so rich and delicious the potato chips were so thin like paper and salted perfectly which paired very well with the caviar and for my main the grilled branzino which cones de boned and in a very light lemon chive sauce the fish was cooked perfectly and just melted in my mouth we are both so excited to come back and try more dishes read more

I really wanted to love this place! So the verdict is: go for the ambiance and the experience but not for the food. Everything is pretty expensive (as you can expect), but nothing we ordered really was worth the price. We got the salmon and the chicken sandwich. I mean, it wasn't BAD but the presentation could use a lot of work considering the prices. Flavor was meh. I will say the service here is amazing. 10/10 service. But the food leaves much to be desired. read more
