Food was just okay. The inside is clean and a good set up. The server sort of has an attitude. Apparently she was tired and made a comment it had been a day. We tried to joke it off and make it better but she seemed irritated waiting on us and our questions about the food. If there's a steak special apparently the chef just said it's big when we asked what size it was. It was a porterhouse so we wanted to compare to the other options on menu. Just no wow with any of the food. Cheese curds were good. We had a group of 6 and no one was wowed by the food. It was fine just didn't make us excited to return. Wine and drink list was large. I'm so thankful to have found this restaurant. It's hidden in Port St. John. The interior fits the description of the name. It's very cool looking but also cozy and comfortable. This spot is perfect for my family and I to meet halfway on the East Coast. The burger was very good and they make their own ranch dressing, which is also very good. The fried pickles were really delicious. Unless you prefer the mayo horseradish sauce, and many do, ask for sour cream and raw horseradish, which I personally prefer and mix it how you like. The staff are great hosts and very accommodating. The potato chips were great and I think they may make them in house. The iced tea was perfect and on the way out I noticed they have desserts that look amazing. I came here for lunch, but I'm sure the dinner is also great. Parking was not a problem, but I came on a Thursday around 1 PM. I plan to go back and try other things on the menu, but so far I enjoyed everything I tried. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! The adult drinks, I had an espresso martini and Cocotini & hands had a long island iced tea, were so good! Services was great, the atmosphere is very nice and clean, and decor very cool. For appetizers we had the shrimp cocktail and onion rings which were both delicious and good portions. Our dinner entrees were Mahi mahi, chicken tenders, and a French dip. Very generous portions and delicious! We will definitely be back! The place is nice looking and the menu is interesting. Unfortunately, the food isn't that good. My burger was overcooked (even though they asked the temperature when ordering) and over seasoned so you really couldn't taste the meat. It was the PSJ burger and the whole thing just felt kind of muddled, too many components, not great quality. The fries were really good though! My friend got the "smashed potatoes" with her meal and, confusingly, they weren't smashed. Just a collection of whole fingerling potatoes. Our waitress was lovely and friendly. read more

She was just abrasive and obnoxious. I thought maybe it was just my adorable personality, but no. She spoke poorly to everyone in the restaurant. At any rate, PSJ Cellar is a clean and modern-looking establishment serving excellent offerings. I recommend it. I'm not sure why it is located on a poorly traveled road. I guess the owners deemed the concept "location is everything" a canard. But hey, it works, and I hope this review helps you find it. My first choice was from the Burgers & Sandwiches section of the menu, the Shrimp Po'Boy, which had large fried shrimp, lettuce, and tomato, served on a toasted buttered hoagie roll, with a great drizzle of PSJ po'boy sauce. The crispy chips that came with it were nicely seasoned and appeared to be made in house. From the Tacos section, I selected the Fish Tacos, two of them filled with fried fish, cabbage, mozzarella cheese, pico, and a chimichurri drizzle, served with corn salad. These tacos were tasty. Very nice addition to the local area! Try this place about a week after their grand opening. One or two items on the menu weren't ready yet, but we found enough to try out. Our party had the classic burger, kids Burger, tri-tips, french onion soup, asparagus, onion ring upgrade for for one of the sides, and they're $9 Brownie dessert. There's several adult dinner options in the $12 to $20 range, and I think $55 for their big ol ribeye steak. We did not partake of their drink options, but their bar area did have a decent wall of Liquors to choose from. What I particularly appreciated was that asparagus was one of the standard vegetable options, as opposed to so many restaurants now have decided that asparagus is a premium upgrade Du jour. They had a few other Potato options for a side, and I think coleslaw. Their upgrade sides, a reasonable dollar fifty each, included two salad options, onion rings, and a crock of French onion soup. The tri-tip steak maybe an entry-level cut of beef, but it was tender, well seasoned, and very well proportioned for the reasonable price. The asparagus was charred and nice, and the burgers were enjoyed by all. French onion soup had lots of onions and flavor. The brownie sundae had six to eight large cubes of brownie and was big enough for the three of us to share. However, the brownies were at room temperature and would have been much better heated. For a restaurant that has only been open for 7 days, the service was good and organized enough. The one-page menu was fairly straightforward, concentrating on steaks, Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a small kids menu section. I think there was a fish option but the details escape me. It was okay, but not great. The main issue was the food. Our drinks tasted a bit funny, like the dispenser needed to be cleaned. In my salad, there was a half-rotten cherry tomato. In my broccoli, there was a piece that looked half-rotten as well. My partner requested no cheese on his meal, it came topped with cheese. We have been there several times and the food was always really good. We went last Sunday and was so disappointed with the food. Most of it looked like it had been precooked and just kept warm. Friend ordered a steak gorgonzola and there wasn't even any gorgonzola cheese on the top, looked like meat was just thrown on, and the meat was not hot even. PSJ The Cellar is a true hidden gem. While everything we've tried over the three times we've been to the restaurant the temperature of the food is not consistent. I've had to send back food twice to be heated up. Dont let this stop you from trying this place out -- the food is delicious!!! I'm hoping that mentioning this issue they will fix the problem. The restaurant is clean, ambience is nice, bathrooms are clean. Drinks are a bit pricey, but good. With the popularity improving I hope they will hire another person to help the waitress on duty. Or, maybe the manager could come out of her office to help out where help is needed. read more

Wow! Sophisticated flavors in a relaxed atmosphere. Exactly what PSJ needed! Our server was awesome, the environment was relaxed, fun, and stylish. But the food?? Amazing! I had the GOAT burger and it was SO good. Unique flavor profiles come together beautifully and it was done exactly how I asked. The house chips were so addictive, and even the fried pickles were obviously house made with unique batter. Obviously people are catching on because it was pretty busy for a Thursday, but our service was still enthusiastic and quick. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Just stumbled upon this local gem recently. Went there to kill some time ended up enjoying a delightful Caesar salad which was a great value for the price. Friend had the hummus which was homemade and included whole chickpeas served with fresh kettle chips and charge of freshly sliced vegetables. This place has so much potential, and I don't feel great about my 3-star review to start since it is so new and I have high hopes it will survive (I'm hoping to revise my review upward at a later date). The PSJ Cellar is not your typical PSJ restaurant - and it sure isn't a pizza place! Whew!! The ambiance and vibe is a solid 4-star for the area as far as it being cute, great service, relaxed; I could really see this as a place for locals to meet up for drinks - which is really lacking in the area. The space didn't consider acoustics too much as it is loud even without a crowd. I love the outdoor "garage" covered seating and also a few outdoor tables as well. The service is excellent - as it should be! We followed one of our favorite bartenders from another restaurant to this place and I can't say enough great things about her! 5-stars for the service! One thing I do find the cellar really going above and beyond for is their drink menu! One of, if not, the largest whiskey and bourbon selections I've seen in a restaurant for this area! Their craft cocktails are excellent, and I really enjoyed the Cellar cosmo! As far as drink prices go, they're pretty fair, and I think it's interesting how they incorporated varying prices on the menu based on the level of alcohol you choose (well vs top shelf); good, better, best! 4-stars for their bar selection. I do wish the beer menu was a little bit wider though and some of their top shelf selections are definitely pricier than I've paid for the same elsewhere, but not like eye-opening higher. Ok, so all of that is great, why the 3-stars? The food. I was really hyped about trying this place based on what I heard from others... "best chicken tenders I've ever had! They were huge and juicy - perfectly cooked! The coleslaw was amazing!". Prices on the menu seemed fair at first glance; not too high ranging from $8-25. Based on the glowing experience I heard about the chicken tenders, I decided is older those, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I'm not sure what happened this visit, but I came here with the same person that said the above statement, and even she was left disappointed as it was as stark contrast to her first experience. The tenders we received were so tiny and thin I wasn't even sure I received "5 tenders". It felt more like 2 regular sized cut into 5 strips. To add insult to the injury, they were really over-cooked. The coleslaw I got to accompany it was a vinegary style, good but it wasn't my favorite - maybe missing a seasoning in there. The fries were excellent though, but nothing special. 14?! 14$?! I expected to be full. My other half enjoyed his French onion burger - excellent taste. After we both cleared our plates, we turn to each other and collectively agreed we were still hungry. The portion sizes left us really underwhelmed.... The "plates" were maybe 8"x6" (smaller than a piece of paper)...we ended up ordering the pretzel bites appetizer after we both finished our meals because we were still left hungry, and even after ordering that I still wasn't full. The pretzel bites were really, really good, but still a bit high in price in my opinion. So, in sum, the whole meal itself was similar prices to other comparable-style restaurants and I didn't even think about a takeout box (spoiler: I usually don't finish my meals). So the value-to-cost ratio just completely missed the mark for me. I certainly wont be ruling this place out in the future, but it has definitely reset my expectations; at the very least, it is an excellent place for an appetizer and drinks with friends. Great drinks, great service. Looking forward to this addition to the area and crossing my fingers for its success (may need to look at those portions though - it could've been an off-night). read more

We made a last minute decision to check out PSJ Cellar and were delightfully surprised. If you know the area you may come with a bit of an expectation, especially with the surrounding restaurants. Our visit was on a Sunday around 11:00 am end we ended up staying for a while just hanging out and playing games. In what equated to close to 3 or 4 hours we ordered several items off the menu. To start we had the fried pickles and the platter. The pickles were nicely done, not super oily but had a good crunch. The platter was fantastic, it is a mix of cheese, garlic, mushrooms and crostinis. It is a great balance of flavors and a nice app to start with. Continuing with our munching we shared 2 flatbreads; the veggie roast and the spinach Alfredo. Both dishes were excellent and cooked very well. Drinks were reasonably priced and made well, we had several mimosas with all the various juices. PSJ Cellar is a nice new addition to the area. I can't wait until they start a Sunday brunch menu. Today PSJ Cellar catered a luncheon after a funeral for 45. they did a beautiful job. The restaurant was decorated with mums and pumpkin, the tables were set. The staff was extremely efficient and service was above average. The bar was well stocked and drinks were nicely made. the Food was great we had a variety, gator tail, fried green tomatoes, salad, mahi-mahi, chicken, shrimp, flatbreads, tacos, fighters salad, corn salad french fries, etc. it was hot and presented nicely. Been watching this place go up for months and finally, on a whim, we made it this evening. What a great addition to our little hamlet of a town - and it's definitely the kind of place that should and can thrive with the local clientele. What I find unique is the seating, there is an outdoor, garage-themed seating area along with a surprisingly big indoor seating arrangement. A decent sized bar at one end, high-tops take up another third, and the rest is the normal table seating found at any location. Big screens adorn two opposite walls with a varied selection to view from. The restaurant offers a decent sized menu - not overly ambitious but better than what some would consider watered down by the pandemic. Everything we had we enjoyed, from the pretzel bites and the dipping sauces, to their Maple Raisin Chicken Salad sandwich, to their steak sandwich. Another impressive feature is their drink menu. True to their name, they have a very lengthy offering of spirits - run, whiskey, bourbon, rye; you name it, they have it. Again, it was quite impressive. For beer they had the normal macrobrew offerings but they did have their own red lager they call the PSJ Cellar that was delicious. You really can't go wrong with it. Service was exceptional, our waitress, Jenny, did a fabulous job of walking us through the menu, taking our endless questions, and keeping tabs on us the entire stay. Also and again, a fabulous job all around. I say, it's a great start for the new kid on the block - I'll definitely be coming back as this local place, with some strong local support, can become something quite special. read more

We didn't realize we were stopping in on their second night of being open. If they didn't mention it we would have never known. They were out of a few key menu items but nothing deal breaking. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks before our table was ready. Despite being crazy busy, bartenders Tiffany and Alexander made us feel like we were their only customers. I had wine and my husband had a couple bourbon drinks - everything was sooooo good! We had the mushroom and goat cheese platter for an appetizer. I had the side salad and steak Gorgonzola flatbread for my meal and my husband had the dry rubbed salmon. Everything was so tasty! We are so excited to have a non chain local restaurant with quality food and drinks in the neighborhood. It is loud but it was definitely a fun vibe. The food was delicious! My husband and I have been twice now and we haven't been disappointed either time. My husband got the Cuban sandwich the first time and he raved about it! I just got the shrimp cocktail but it was really good. I also got a dessert, apple crisp, and it was very good! The second time we went we got the special, chili cheese dogs! They were great! I also got a dessert that day too! It was the banana pudding! It was the best I have ever had! I forgot about their French onion soup! It's really good too! Try this place out! I must say after sampling many a restaurant in this area this place has become my new favorite. I'm at KSC often for work and have trouble finding good food a short drive away. PSJ Cellar was amazing - super friendly staff, well managed, great prices and delicious food! I had the philly cheese steak with homemade chips on the side and it was honestly the best Philly cheese steak I have ever had. I also had the fried chicken tender salad and the portion was very large, the chicken was freshly made, and the ranch tasted like it was homemade. For the price, I don't know of anything as good in the area. Can't wait to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone in the area read more
