We returned just recently. Someone new (manager? chef?) must be cutting corners. The Caesar salad had only the ribs of the romaine, leaves must be saved for other dishes. The dressing was skimpy. It used to be very good. The chicken fingers were cooked a little too long, but not as bad as our previous visit. The first time we went there (months ago) - the tenders were excellent. Since it is in a shopping plaza, parking should not be an issue. Walking in, I found the ambiance pleasant and bright and made for a comfortable setting for a truly enjoyable meal. The service here was upbeat, professional and friendly. A server and that b server's attitude can truly make or break a dining experience and on this particular visit, our server definitely added to our overall experience. The menu boasts that it is Florida inspired and it does offer a lot that should appeal to most hungry customers. I started with the gator bites and then went with the redfish. First visit was nice! I went in with no real expectations but I left pleasantly surprised. The main draw here was to try my childhood favorite drink from Orange Julius. It did not disappoint. You can choose to add liquor to it too but I opted for the original strawberry Julius. We were seated promptly and were given 3 menus - lunch, dinner and drinks. It was nice to see their lunch menu is offered 7 days a week. I opted to order the grouper lunch bites with a cup of loaded baked potato soup. My son ordered the crab cake lunch with the soup. All meals come with their tasty fried biscuits with a cinnamon sugar butter. They were tasty and kind of reminded me of a beignet. Our soups came out first. The flavor was perfect! The consistency was a bit too watery for my liking. It needed more potatoes, bacon etc. Our entrees came shortly afterwards. The grouper bites were seasoned very well but they were cooked almost too well done. The sauces that came with it were quite tasty especially the cocktail sauce. My son very much enjoyed his crab cakes. I didn't taste them due to a shellfish allergy. I ordered the marsh pasta and despite not be able to substitute some ingredients out, still was very favorable and a large portion. Mixed Experiences -- Worth a Try I've been here twice now, and each visit was completely different. The atmosphere is great fun music, a nice bar area, and everything is clean and inviting. My first visit was excellent: great service, food came out quickly, drinks were on point, and everything tasted amazing. (Photos are from that visit.) My second visit, however, was this week for my husband's birthday, and it was a very different experience. We had a party of five and were seated right away. The restaurant was busy but not slammed, plenty of people already had their food. We placed our drink and food orders within 5 minutes, but our meals didn't arrive for 45 minutes, and our server only checked on us once during that time. When the food finally came out, it just wasn't good. I ordered the Mahi, and it was overcooked, dry, and chewy. The baked potato and salad were still good, so maybe it was just an off night. Overall, I'd still say give it a try for yourself my first visit showed they can deliver a great experience. Hopefully my second visit was just a rare miss. read more

tl;dr - Just go, go now, and try them... One of our friends passed her US citizenship exam and we offered to take her out to dinner to celebrate, this is the place she chose. My wife and I, and others, had frankly never heard of the place, but we are sure glad we do now. Located in the outdoor mall known as Titus Landing, and situated not from from the theater, they have a nice sized restaurant that offers high-top seating, booths, tables, and a good sized bar (I will have to come back and experience.) It was a Monday night and we still had to wait about 30-mins for a table. My experience tells me that rarely is it worth the wait, but in this case it frankly was. We were treated so well and welcomed for our first trip here, it was unlike any experience I've had at other restaurants. The welcoming nature sure did hit the spot. The menu is not large but yet it's still varied, and for those who require a gluten-free experience - this is certainly your place. My wife enjoyed their mac n' cheese offering, I dug into their grilled chicken plate, and our guest of honor ate their salad. All of it came out fresh or hot (depending on the plate) and it was simply delicious. Servings were so much we didn't leave room for dessert - giving us a definite reason to return. The restaurant is a welcomed addition to the area - unique - with a very light and relaxing ambiance I can definitely get behind. Vegetarians and vegans beware! You cannot eat anything fried since it's all cooked in beef tallow! We sat at the bar to have a drink and starter while waiting for a table. The woman behind the bar brought us complimentary fried dough balls. The worst part is that I specifically asked if they were vegetarian and she said yes. So, I ate some. Then my husband noticed on his menu that it said everything from the fryer was fried in beef tallow. But, it didn't say that on my menu! They were otherwise identical. I received, apparently, the only old version of the menu that didn't have that warning / info on it so ate the free starter bread balls without knowing and being misinformed by staff. We then cancelled our fried mushroom starter too after the bartender verified the menu with the beef tallow info was the correct one. The general manager came out and apologized profusely which I appreciated. He was very nice! I explained I've been vegetarian for 30 years. This also meant that there was exactly one veggie / vegan option which was just an impossible burger that you can get with salad or a baked potato. You can get the baked potato loaded without bacon if you're veggie which adds sour cream, cheese and green onions, which I did, eventually. The sour cream and green onions didn't come on it at first but when I asked for them, they came on the side a few minutes later. The decor is cool and I love that they're trying to do a foodie thing in Titusville but sadly for them, I'll not be back. I think it's because I was ONE adult with a child. I notice when I go anywhere alone with him SOME servers don't treat us as a higher paying table. I was a server for 10 years so I understand it can be frustrating when you're trying to make bank but sometimes the solo people... solo parents are the ones who tip more. You don't know peoples day before they come in so treat everyone the same. She never checked on us, she dropped off condiments I asked someone else for but never asked if we needed anything or was good. Just waited till I was clearly sitting around waiting and till the end. Anytime my son was trying to talk to her when I was asking for something you can see it all over face she was annoyed and didn't want to deal with it. He's just very friendly and independent so he was trying to tell her what he wanted. Like clearly making a face because he was talking over me.. he's three. I get it, it was annoying me but im his mom and he's learning restaurant etiquette. Just poor service for the price of the food and drinks. The little biscuits are great. The beer was excellent. The bake potato was nice and salty in the outside. The salad was fresh. But the steak was supposed to be medium and it came out well well done. This was the worst service and food I have had at Native. They first seated us in a booth with the seats about 6 inches from the table so I asked for different seating and received a curt reply. The fried pickles were very good and typical of the order I have had before. The cup of potato soup was watery a gray color and tasteless. The ordered vegan smash burger was without onions but came with grilled onions. The bacon on the BLT was not cooked properly and it was cut into two pieces with tomato only on 1/2 of the sandwich. The rather large side of fries was flabby and luke warm. I'm really disappointed in this dining experience and doubt I will return for quite some time. Also I read they received 7 HIGH level food violations in a health inspection in June 2026. read more

I love how Titusville has expanded their "foodie" lifestyle! The Native is perfect for this area, with a menu that combines comfort food, everyday favorites and unique flavors and combinations. Upon arrival we were greeted pleasantly and seated, although we first requested a booth we ended up at a table because the booths were a little snug. Right away our server came and said hello took drink order and let us know fresh biscuits would be right up. The biscuits were warm and reminded me of a homemade donut with a mild cinnamon butter. We ordered the fried mushroom shareable, these had a light tasty breading were hot and didn't taste like they had been frozen , these horseradish dipping sauce had a lite bite. I ordered the Marsh Pasta with a side house salad with blue cheese dressing my husband ordered the grouper bites with a baked potato and salad with orange vinaigrette. Just as we were finishing the mushrooms our entrees arrived although neither our salads nor my husbands potato were with our meals. The manager Jacob came by to apologize for the timing issue and did offer some additional biscuits but we had plenty and politely declined. The salads were extremely fresh and very tasty the dressings were definitely house made and fresh. My husband was impressed with the grouper bites the coating was thin and fish plentiful. My entree was flavorful and delicious with plenty to take home as a second meal. I'm sure as the staff get more experience the timing will improve but all and all we were both pleased and impressed with our dining choice and look forward to our return visit. read more

Made my dissatisfaction known to management and was simply told "thanks for the feedback." They've received this feedback before, but no offer to comp the item; I didn't even eat 20% of it. Great addition to T-ville! Our trio was warmly greeted and given a short wait time, so we had a seat at the bar. My friends were pleased to know the bartender so we decided to stay there. Drinks and cocktails were ordered and quickly delivered. My friend had a boozy Orange Julius....SO YUM and so nostalgic. I love the nod to Dave's at the old Miracle City Mall. We started with the Grouper Gone Wild....a take on Bang Bang Shrimp.... EXCELLENT! Could have licked the plate! Off to a great start! Fried biscuits with cinnamon butter came out.... The butter may or may not have crack in it. MAGICAL. Then the mains.... Sunny Bird with Mac & Cheese.... Mac & cheese was one of the best we'd ever had. Chicken was a little under, but nicely done. I had the Margarita Mahi and a loaded baked potato with a Caesar salad. The baked potato was beautiful.... Slightly smoky from a wood fired oven. So good. The grouper was way over cooked. The flavor was totally there. I would definitely order it again....this place has only been open a few days!! They are still working it out! The Caesar salad was wonderful. And finally our third had the Texas Smash. He said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. We did not get a taste! His sweet potato fries came with more of that crack butter.... YUM!! We were there at 5PM on a Tuesday-Service was on point. Our server Heather was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive but not "too much". Food--here's the breakdown and of course just my opinions--the fried biscuits were not amazing the cinnamon butter was. May consider changing this since that was the first thing served and not overly impressive. The acoustics of the place made it a little hard to hear each other BUT we just talked louder. The redfish was on point the sauce had great flavor, the cooked in beef tallow fries also deserve a shout out, coleslaw was definitely a highlight. The homemade Cesar dressing had great flavor. I definitely look forward to trying different sauces here as it seems to be a strength for sure which brings me to my disappointment which was the sunny bird..They have the right idea but the chicken breast was dry and not much flavor until I added a side of barbecue sauce to it..don't think thick like ketchup barbecue sauce and I'm not really sure what it was but yummy sweet goodness and made the dish better than served. Save your money unless you want Sisco prepared foods. Its glorified cafeteria food slopped on a plate for the masses. Of course most people are going to 'like' the food here but that's probably because most of them have haven't ever left the state of florida. The 'management' that's been on shift both times we've eaten there are a joke. Just because you approach the table in a sheepish way apologizing, that doesn't mean you are qualified to do that job. This owner must extensively train these employees to apologize for all of his shortcomings because in every establishment that he owns, they all have excuses why they don't have what's on the menus. We dined at The Native Bar and Grill recently with friends, who invited us to join them. It was our first visit to this restaurant. We arrived shortly after 5 PM and found the place to be quite busy (a good sign?). We had to wait for a table for about 25 minutes. When we finally got seated there was quite a large crowd waiting for tables. Our waitress arrived promptly after we were seated and took our drink orders. When she returned with our drinks she took our food orders after explaining some of the dishes we had questions about. When our food arrived, it was hot (the plates were also hot), another good sign. However, as we began to eat our meals we were all quite disappointed with our choices. My wife ordered the grouper bites, which were served with fries. She was unable to eat much of it because it was sooo salty. I ordered the fried flounder with fries and slaw. When my meal was served they had forgotten the fries. The flounder was fried in a salty batter, but was flaky and delicious. The serving size would have been enough for two. When my fries were finally delivered I was unable to eat them because they were too salty. Our friends ordered fried shrimp with fries (hubby), and steak, medium-well, with mashed potatoes. The shrimp was dry and over-cooked, and way too salty, as were the fries. The steak was done as ordered and was quite edible. When the assistant manager came to our table to check on our meals I asked him to taste my fries and tell me what he thought. He did, and exclaimed that they were way too salty. We suggested that they use no salt when preparing the meals and let the customers add salt to taste. Apparently, after reading more recent reviews, it appears that they are still over-salting their dishes. In addition, we found that it was very noisy when crowded. WE WILL NOT RETURN! read more
