My girlfriend really wanted her eyebrows done so I hopped on my laptop and went straight to Yelp and typed in "best threading salon." Yelp proceeded to give me a list of places and I saw that this place was nearby and had great reviews so I said honey, lets giz-oh! We walked in, I was amazed. This place was clean and even had a dope flower wall, as we were taking in the aesthetics of the shop we were greeted by a friendly smile. My girlfriend was then immediately seated, and told the threader how she wanted her eyebrows done. I believe her name was Simran. Before I even got past the opening credits of Game of Thrones my girlfriend was standing there with glorious eyebrows. I asked her what she thought, she said that they were on fleek. I came in on a Sunday because I desperately needed to get my brows done. I didn't have to wait very long, less than 5 minutes. The lady was nice enough, I asked for a trim and slight shaping. First and foremost, her hands did not seem very clean. She had just finished threading a customer and then started working on mine after writing some stuff down on a clipboard. I was already starting to dread getting my eyebrows done by her after I saw this. I hate when people touch my face with unclean hands ( it spreads bacteria and makes me break out). She did my brows in less than 5 minutes. I have never gotten my brows done in 5 minutes. Every time I have had my eyebrows threaded, they have taken around 20 - 25 min. I didn't want to even look at my brows after she finished doing them. There were still some stray hairs on my right brow, but I did not even bother to ask her to fix it. I'm scared that she would have ended up ripping even more hair off. She also took a little too much hair off the top of my brows... I hate when this happens because it looks so unnatural, and it is so hard to fix. Not coming here again. I hate having to fix others' mistakes especially when I already paid for a service. I am currently breaking out on my brows. and I am pretty sure it is because her hands were not clean enough. Ugh i am so disgusted. I usually never break out around my brow area. Not having found a waxing salon that I've liked till date in the Bay Area, I keep trying new places all the time. So I decided to give Perfect Threading Salon a shot. I walked in without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon to get my hands waxed. Diksha, who was at the reception quickly accommodated me and took me in. She was quick and brilliant in her service. I walked in to this threading joint at about 6:30pm on a Saturday when I realized my regular place was closed. Thankfully, Yelp guided me here to make sure my eyebrows were on point for the evening. I had a poker tournament to go to so I did not want to distract anyone with some bushy brows =) I walked in and put my name on the sign in sheet. There were a couple of other people waiting so I asked the woman at the front desk if they would have time for me. She let me know that they would and I sat down and waited for my turn. I noticed there was a sign that said that tips were cash only. Being a 30 something, I only pay with a card these days. I sent a text to my husband who was at Subway to grab some cash so I could make sure to tip my threader. Just a few minutes later, my threader called for me and i quickly found myself being groomed. I have uneven arches and she was awesome at making sure both eyebrows looked good without making them too thin just to even them out. My session was quick and efficient. I grabbed the tip money from the husband and gave it to my threader. I went to the front to pay and saw there was a tip line on the credit card receipt. When I asked about the cash only I was told they are trying to reinforce cash tipping while they are working on the credit card tipping. It felt a little strange but at least I now know those signs are a recommendation only. I will definitely return when I am in need of some grooming. That moment when you have to give the threader specific instructions about how to make your eyebrows better because her first attempt was uneven... It was a little embarrassing, frustrating, and I sounded demanding, but I wouldn't pay to have my eyebrows done if I could shape them myself. I drove out to this location and specifically requested Simran only to get some other lady. After giving specific instructions based on her first attempt, she did just an ok job, but now that I'm home I'm going to have to touch it up. Conclusion: Simran is the only one that should be threading anyone's eyebrows at this location. Every other person that I've gone to seems to be just average, and you can get just average almost anywhere. In fact, I've stopped going here. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I didn't see many comments on their facials so I thought I'd share my experience. I chose the Express facial ($45 for about 30 mins) because I wanted to do some blackhead extractions. My facialist basically soaked my skin in multiple products...to the point where product got into both of my eyes. When it came time to remove blackheads, she was running the tool all over my face. Yet, I took a look in the mirror after and noticed that a lot of my blackheads were still there (I went to a skin specialist today and she commented on how I should get a facial) & my skin didn't look refreshed or glowy as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong, my facialist was so kind & everything seemed clean! But, overall, it wasn't worth $45. read more

Service is not worth the price. I have acne and wanted a facial to calm my skin. Thought of getting a herbal facial. This girl tried to convince me to a facial that was more expensive. When I asked her the difference, she said "herbal might give u more acne." That's all the description she was able to provide. The girl who did my facial seemed brand new. Just a suggestion, when u have someone brand new who is learning, let the customer know if they are wanting to spend so much money on someone who is under training. Took me 2 and a half hour there just for a facial and threading. I would definitely avoid this place if u r someone who wants to be done on time. read more

After my esthetician from another salon missed our appointment I called PT salon and they were able to fit me in on short notice which was great. I was getting a Brazilian wax. The only thing that was out of the ordinary was the esthetician DID NOT WEAR GLOVES. In all my years of getting Brazilians I have never had someone not wear gloves especially while working below the belt. They also charged extra for my hair being "long" which was four weeks of growth which is about how long I've been told by others to wait between waxes. read more

Must say, I was not 100% satisfied when I got my eyebrows done yesterday (and I wrote a review to get my feelings heard). However, this morning, I got a call from the manager and she was extremely sweet, stated that they always stand by there work and to please come back and she will fix them. When I arrived I was pleasantly greeted and they were happy to clean up what I was not satisfied with the day before. Now my eyebrows look great! Along with threading, they do bleach, waxing, facials, make up, etc. Pretty good prices too! The ambiance and decor are great, it's a very classy salon. I've been coming here since they opened up! I always got my eyebrows done by Simran, she's quick and efficent and I always loved my eyebrows afterwards. After that, when they started to get busier and had more employees, so I rarely got her. I got different results with each threader, sometimes they were good, other times they would do them too thin even though I told I just want a clean up. Other times, some would leave some obvious hairs in and I would have to finish the job myself. So after a year of having different threaders, I finally started calling to make sure that there are not a lot of people already waiting and that simran will be available. Speaking of the wait, sometimes it can be long! They have a sing in sheet but it gets long esp on the weekends. In the beginning it was walk-ins, which started to get difficult so they started taking appointments (still speaking of eyebrows). Now it is walk-ins for eyebrows, everything else like facials and waxing etc is by appointment. I still call every time before I go in and make sure I will not have to wait too long. The price for eyebrows went up too, it went from 5 to 7 to 9, which I don't get cuz it's not like they are using more thread on us lol. Even though I've been a loyal customer for almost 3 years, I have only gotten my eyebrows done here, but soon I will try the make a bleach/facial appointment as well. So look out for the update! *update- I have come back for the bleach and mini-facial, the women who did they services were very good and careful. The mini-facial did not feel mini in anyway, it was a full hour and very relaxing, I will update once I try the facial. read more

Once i waited 56 minutes in the waiting room and had a lady just walk in and cut me and three other ladies who were waiting patiently....the owner didn't try to step in or give an explanation why they took her immediately and we all had been waiting for so long. Oh, i also called ahead to make sure they weren't busy and i didn't have to wait long, they were very happy to tell me to come in and that it was fine. Another time I waited a good 20-30 minutes before getting worked on. Today i went and was ready to be taken before i even finished signing in. .... it's kind of inconsistent. I've been worked on by 3 different ladies. The two younger girls did a good job, another older one was better. I have a small line in my eyebrow that doesn't like to grow and it always makes it impossible to get them even and symmetrical, BUT SHE DID IT! I want her name, so i can ask for her everytime. I noticed the thread they use make it so that ever pull they make isn't smooth and doesn't glide smoothly like other places. It also seems to hurt more than it does at other places and sometimes i find myself having to go back for a clean up in just a week and a half...odd. read more

I used to love this place - great location, really nice people, and great eyebrow threading. However, in recent months this place has become pretty bad. Last week I came in 30 minutes before closing. The door was locked but there were still some people inside so I knocked on the door. I could tell the people who were working there could hear me and a random girl inside asked an employee to open the door for me. They just shook her head at her instead of having the decency to tell me that they were closing early or even gesture that to me. I was surprised and pretty pissed off by their rudeness. In addition, the past few times I have gotten my eyebrows done from them, the employees claim that I was plucking my eyebrows myself and that is why they could not shape them properly. I calmly explained that I had not touched my eyebrows and had been coming to them only for the past few months. They just kept using that as an excuse for doing a terrible job (one eyebrow has a different shape than the other!) of a simple eyebrow cleanup. Lastly, their prices have gone UP. They keep changing the price from $7 to $9 dollars and when you ask when it became $9, they get extremely upset and say that is has been $9 for a year and half. However, I do have a receipt for a $7 charge from 2 months ago. Overall, the only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the convenient location. I started coming to Perfect Threading after some bad experiences with Threads Beauty Bar, and so far I am much happier with the quality of work and level of service here. After 3 different threaders at Threads Beauty Bar left, and the random lady who I tried severely messed up my eyebrows, I decided to give Perfect Threading a chance. The girl noticed right away that my eyebrows hadn't been done very well the last time, and understood exactly what I wanted. She was able to fix the mistakes of Threads Beauty Bar, which they supposedly do fairly often as the girl told me that many former Threads clients were switching over to Perfect Threading. I highly recommend this place, and it is much better than Threads. The prices are lower and their work really lives up to their name. read more

On a whim, I decided to treat myself to a facial. And since I am used to getting a facial Indian style (you know, them herbal facepacks and everything with the longest possible massage), I zero'd in on Perfect Threading. I have been here before to get myself de-haired and highly recommend their threading services (Lookout for Sukhi, she knows how to thread fast and with minimal pain) I knew that they do provide facial services as well. I called them up and got an appointment for 2 hours after my call. I walked in, let them know I am here for a facial appointment. Sukhi (the lady who gave me the facial) walked me into one of their private rooms and handed me a "robe" to change into. I opted to get the Shehnaaz Hussain Pearl Facial since I have combination skin. The room is relatively hygenic. However, the sheets on the bed had stains on them, which freaked me out a little. But thankfully, they do use disposable sheets on top of the ones on the bed. I changed into the robe and was all ready for my facial. After the routine of cleansing, scrubbing, steaming, getting rid of blackheads and then applying the face pack, I now have an awesome glow on my skin. The effect is still there and getting better even 2 days after the facial. Sukhi gave me a very relaxing massage during the course of the facial. It was 1.5 hours of bliss. She wasn't very chatty, which I like. The reason I didn't give 5 stars - The stained sheets and the re-used robe kind of disappointed me. As someone who is an OCD about these things, I would expect better. Please replace the sheets and get disposable robes as well. It can be a little on the expensive side. My facial + upper lip threading + tips came to about $75. The pearl facial alone is $55. However, if I come out looking like a superstar everytime, I wouldn't mind being a regular :) read more

I decided to give this place a try after all the reviews it has got. I usually go to Threads Beauty Bar for my eyebrows but they are closed on Mondays so I decided I could try this place. There was no waiting but the service was horrible. After going to Threads ,my experience here was like Torture. The lady who did my eyebrows was threading me as if she was trying to pull my skin out. It was soooooo painful!! And When she was done I was all red around my eyebrows which has never happened before. Plus she din't even do a good job I had to point out areas that still needed shaping. More than threading she was just using scissors to trim the long hair. If you are planning on going to this place, STOP!! Go to threads Beauty bar instead its just down the street!! read more

I've been coming to this place for a while and I've read enough reviews before my first visit that I knew to ask for Simran each and every time. She does a FANTASTIC job and though my face is all red when she's done (I have a VERY low tolerance for pain), I am happy that I look great! I went in today and found out that Simran was on vacation. The lady that did my eyebrows (Sukhi) was HORRIBLE. I thought there was a major advantage to using threading versus tweezing. She was definitely threading my eyebrows but it FELT like she was tweezing them cuz was going ever so slowly and i could feel each single hair getting pulled from the follicle!! When asked questions, she couldn't even respond to them properly (language issues). This was honestly the WORST threading experience I have ever had, not just here, but ANYWHERE. It was so bad that I actually walked in there wanting to get my eyebrows and upper lip done but after the extreme pain from my eyebrows and how freaking slow she was going, I passed on getting the lips done, at least by her. I'll either go to another lady there or go elsewhere for my lips which are WAY more sensitive than my eyebrows. I will go back to this place but from now on, ONLY if Simran is there. I'd rather grow everything out for weeks on end, instead of going through extreme pain with the lady I had today. read more
