I wish I could say something better about this place. Unfortunately, they rely way too much on their heat lamps. The take-out pizza we ordered last week was awful. It had clearly been cooked earlier in the day, and then kind of heated up under a heat lamp. It was dry, chewy and downright over-cooked. I really appreciate them offering pizzas at 1/2 price right now, but I would way rather pay full price and take home something edible. I was in Pub 282, 8/20/23, sat at a table for ten minutes and not one server acknowledged us. Tried to get their attention but was still ignored. A great small, local spot on Camano Island with great selection of brews, ciders, and libation! Staff was awesome and attentive, professional and knowledgable while still being laid back and friendly. Stopped in for a quick lunch during some moving, had the blackened salmon salad. Perfectly dressed, and the fish was incredible. Best I've had. That's not hyperbole, that's me literally writing it was the best blackened salmon caesar I've ever eaten. We visited while we were staying at Cama Beach State Park and were pleasantly surprised! The food was solid bar food; tater tots could've been a little crispier but the black and blue burger and jalapeño burger were both tasty. A decent amount of beers on tap but nothing super unique. They also have a full bar and pretty good wine selection. Service was friendly and prompt, and we were able to hear live music (which is Friday and Saturday nights). The ambiance is...to be expected in a strip mall. But there's a nice looking outdoor patio with fire pit (didn't get to experience due to the standard rain!). read more

Stopped into Pub 282 today with a friend for a quick bite and conversation. The conversation was great but we were there an hour and never did get the food we had ordered. We had to leave without getting our order as we had run out of time Frankly ,I was so disappointed by not only the lackluster service but also by the fact that when I informed the bartender why we were leaving , there was no discernible attitude of caring about customer service. Pros - Nice outdoor patio with a lot of space between tables. Good choice of beers and drinks. The staff was polite. Cons - Of course everyone knows we are living in the time of Covid 19 and it is essential to follow state guidelines. We want everyone be safe and we want our local business to succeed. Our waitress had her mask below her nose the entire time we were there. When I walked though the restaurant the person behind the bar did not have a mask on at all. One of the worst pizzas I have ever had. It was very under cooked and tasted of canned sauce. I did not send it back seeing they were so lax about the masks, I didn't feel I could trust their hygiene. I didn't want my dinner to be exposed to unmasked or under-masked staff. Will not be going back. I suggest the management go over the state guidelines with the staff. If the public sees you don't care we won't either. read more

After reading all the crappy reviews on Yelp we were hesitant on coming here but since there wasn't a lot options in the area we gave it a try anyway. Overall, we had a great experience. We sat in the patio to enjoy the Saturday evening weather and they eventually fired up the outdoor fire pit as the night wore on. The beer selection was good and the food was actually not bad. We all shared some pizzas and they were scarfed down fairly fast. The waitress we had was also accommodating and really cool. We would hit this place up again. read more

Pretty terrible service, no hello just "what can I get you" was sitting for about thirty seconds. They have pretty large beer selection but felt pressured to just pick plus we didn't get a menu. When our food arrived she never came back to check on us until we were finished, which would of been cool cause she never brought me silverware. Would of been nice to have basic utensils to eat my food but that's ok. I mean she wasn't rude just not the best or she just assumes everyone knows what's up. We got a burger and a sandwich. My boo was pissing out of his ass the rest of the night and my burger was a salt bomb, but I did get a pickle so that was pretty awesome. The inside is very clean and well decorated. Came to Camano to enjoy a few days on the island. Went to Pub 282 for pizza and beer. The beer was good and that was about it. The bartender was not overly nice but not rude so we got a table so we weren't sitting at the bar. It must have been the waitresses first day, she seemed overwhelmed and then forgot about us. When the pizza finally came out it had wrong toppings, cold and the middle was soggy. We didn't eat it, we waved her down, she said a lame sorry and that was it. I was really looking forward to trying this place since there is not much to choose from on Camano. My first experience was getting takeout. My wife and I wanted to try there burgers since we are always looking for a great burger spot. I went and picked up the food and it was very reasonable priced. Once i got home i opened up the boxes and all that was there was bun, meat and cheese. I called the Pub to ask what had happened. They then informed me that there was a side bar that i was suppose to use to add everything i wanted to the burgers. They didn't apologize and basically said it was my fault. After that experience I figured you know what there isn't many options here i will try it again and go into the restaurant to eat. the inside is very nice and looked like it would be a fun place to eat. After sitting down we waited over 15 minutes for a server to see us. Another 15 minutes to receive our waters and beer. We also ordered some sandwiches with our drinks. Went for a couple of bears with my wife after a date in Seattle. There Pricing on my 22 oz beer was $8 . We both get 16 ounce glasses of beers.. Pricing on beers are completely off. A-lot of them say it's a 22oz beer for 7-9 dollars. When I brought this up to the waiter she said well is this good enough ?? She said they don't have 22 oz glasses. Not a bad place to grab a bite to eat. We were there on a Saturday evening and they had karaoke. There weren't a lot of people singing, the same 4-5 people. One of then happened to be a loud drunk guy which was rather obnoxious. Since there weren't a lot of other people singing he took to the microphone way too many times. The food was decent. I got the west camano pizza. It was sort of tasteless so I had to put a lot of salt and ask for a side of pizza sauce to dip it in. Tasted better after that. My husband got a chicken burger which was also just okay. I did think it was pretty cool that they had a burger bar (you pick the toppings you want on your burger). They had a large selection of beer and lots of flavored sodas to choose from as well. They also had outside seating with a sort of island that also served as a fire pit/place which was pretty but didn't offer any heat. We wanted to sit there but it was too chilly out and the fire didn't give off any heat we took a seat inside instead so we could enjoy the karaoke :). The waiter was friendly and joked around with us when he was at our table, but the service was slow and he seemed really busy and therefore service suffered. We were looking for a place to eat late Sunday evening 9pm, and Pub282 was the only place open nearby. Nice modern interior and finishes, and very clean. It was pretty empty (to be expected for Sun 9pm), the waitress let me change the channel to watch Sportscenter. We ordered a chicken nachos which hit the spot. Nice selection of craft beers & beers on tap (Mac&Jacks), I tried the Bonfire Brown which did not disappoint. Some great country music hits playing in the background. Living out on the island I am always excited to try places close to home. I decided to order for pick up from the Pub. I ordered a 12" pizza, a children's cheeseburger, and a turkey club. It took me 10 minutes to get there, and my food was ready. The feel of the place was very clean and inviting. My only complaint is when I walked in, it was a little confusing for me to find someone to talk to. There's a sign to seat yourself, but all the staff was either at the bar or in the kitchen. I eventually just went to the bar and got some help. My daughter loved her burger, and we all know young kids they can be picky. She finished it off. My husband is also fairly picky and he enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. My club was delicious. The bread was crispy even after driving the food home. The sandwich was well balanced and very tasty. I would definetly be trying other things on the menu in the future. read more
