    Veggie Plate

My friends and I had the Veggie Plate, one with chicken and one without, BBQ Chicken Wings, Caesar Salad, red wine and tea, and every dish was outstanding! I loved the squashes and portabella mushrooms and how the mushrooms were tangy in my Veggie Plate. The portions were so generous that I got at least 2 meals from it! Everything was very fresh. I appreciated the outdoor seating for my dog and how welcoming and friendly the servers were to my dog! It was an impressionable first experience for me, though my friends have been here a lot, and I'll be back for sure!

The service was excellent!! And it only took about 10-15 minutes to bring out food for two people. The place itself is great and very nice--everything looks very clean. I ordered the Brussels Sprout Bacon Hash & Eggs. To be honest, the brussels were half-raw and some were quite bitter. The eggs had a plastic-like texture. 4/10 The burger was better. 7/10.

The service is great. The ambiance is good. Warning: Do not get the "all natural Angus beef steaks"- the meat is so tough even serrated steak knives bounce off! (I will try the fried chicken next time.) Calamari, mixed veggie plate etc. beer/wine selections all good.

If I could eat here everyday, I would! I cannot get enough of the crispy pork belly- i get one there to eat and I get one to go (and it rarely makes it home). The burger that had the balsamic glaze on it changed my life it was so good. The service is always friendly, and we bring our pooch and dine outside. They call it a beer garden but it's an outdoor patio next to a walking trail and flowers for ambiance. Lemonade is pretty generic. But overall, this place is yummyyy! A little bit pricier than most joints, so it's a treat when we so go! See y'all soon!

Really great place to stop for dinner on our way to Guerneville! We both had a burger and one of the rotating adult beverages. We very much enjoyed our dinner. The only negative, we asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular with our burgers. We figured there might be a slight up charge, but we're shocked when our bill came! It was an extra $3.50 for each of us. Probably won't do that the next time.

It's a great looking upscale (but not tooo much) pub!

I'm happy to post a positive review! I started going to rPUB a few months ago and the food is consistently great, beer is so cold and a decent selection of wine- Please try the fried pork lol, so so good and so is 99% of the menu. Chef is awesome and the owner is always around- my favorite after work happy hour and great place to watch a game at the bar. And the Bartenders are so professional but very nice and attentive.

Great pub vibe with tasty food, a solid beer selection, and comfortable outdoor seating. Perfect for a casual meal and drinks in a relaxed setting.

Great place to come for a holiday celebration.

We had another great experience at Pub Republic. It was a busy festive Friday night. We sat at the bar to enjoy the ambiance. What good food at good prices with a little celebratory sparkling wine - local of course. This is still a fun place with good food and good energy.

Nearly done with exploring sites around Sonoma and Santa Rosa, Pub Republic was snack time and a beer. Early afternoon and the Sunday brunch menu was wrapping up so we just got drinks and split a "to share." Good service though she disappeared after serving our food. Another drink would have been possible but by the time she returned, we were indeed ready to go. The "Crispy Pork Belly" was delicious. One-inch cubes of pork belly (basically bacon) with a carrot ginger puree, roasted shallots, pickled onion and jalapeno with an orange chili sauce. Nicely presented but I really wonder why they put five on the plate instead of four or six. How do you properly share five of something? Lots of other good options here - tacos, salads, burgers and higher end pub food. Not cheap but what is in California? [Review 21015 overall - 531 in California - round number 2000 of 2023.]

It had been a while since we had last come here, so it was fun to be back and enjoy some of our favorite beers. It was a beautiful day, and they had live music. They also had a couple of large-screen TVs set up showing the World Cup game. Our server was very helpful, answering our questions about beer and bringing us a couple of samples before deciding what to order. I asked for my favorite light beer, DayTime, and we decided to share an order of chicken wings, fries, and their P-Town Chop Salad. The beer was as good as I remembered, and the food was well-made and delicious, especially the wings (with Buffalo sauce). They allow dogs, as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash, so our little guy had fun saying hello to a couple of dogs that were sitting nearby in between his breaks from begging for treats from the table. This weekend we made our way over to Petaluma and found the cutest little spot right on the water--Taps on the River. We grabbed a table outside, and goodness, it was just so peaceful. I also treated myself to a Dunkel beer, which is mighty hard to find, and I just loved it! We'll most definitely be making our way back to Taps on the River. If you find yourself over in Petaluma, I'd sure recommend stopping by. It's one of those places that just makes you want to sit a spell, enjoy the view, and savor a good meal.

I never waited in the beverage line for more than a few minutes. Food was ordered at the bar and servers ran it out. My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.

There was plenty of parking in the lot businesses in the Kenwood Village can take advantage of and although there were no customers inside of the restaurant when we arrived, we were sat immediately in their covered outdoor patio where we could see their outdoor wood fired pizza oven in all its glory! The menu at Palooza Brewery And Gastropub is separated into categories including Small Plates, Tacos, Salads, Wood Fired Pizza, Plates, Sandwiches, Desserts & Shakes. It was that pizza oven that brought my dining mate to Palooza Brewery And Gastropub and that was what we remained committed to ordering on our visit. With five options, we decided to order their Meat Lovers Wood Fired Pizza which had pepperoni, sausage, bacon, red onion, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on a thin bubbly crust. We were going to remain committed to ordering just this entrée, but we decided to also order their Fried Pickles under the small plates section of their menu, which consisted of house made butter pickle slices that beer battered, fried and served with a malt vinegar aioli dipping sauce. The small plate pickles would come out first and this dish was a pleasant surprise as it was the perfect combination of savoriness and sourness with an extra dash of umami thanks to the aioli dipping sauce. Then out came our Wood Fired Meat Lovers Pizza and it was such a satiating meal that multiple people could have enjoyed all the fresh combination meat, sauce, and cheese, but since it was just the two of us dining, we were able to enjoy two slices each and take the rest home in a takeout box. Our total bill was $45.88 with tax before gratuity was added in, which in this area is considered a reasonably priced meal. Even without ordering a libation or sampling one of their brews on tap, we still had a great time at Palooza Brewery and Gastropub. Now that we know this spot exists among the many wineries and tasting rooms in the area, it's nice to have another option when we're looking for a casual place to relax and grab a bite. Their Happy Hour menu, available all day on Sundays and on weeknights from 3-5:30 p.m., makes it an especially appealing stop. Palooza Brewery and Gastropub is the perfect pit stop when you want something tasty without taking a big bite out of your wallet.
