Pub W is a great place to grab and drink and dinner. TLDR; Check it out you will like it. I have been to Pub W for brunch, lunch and dinner. The brunch is really good and stays pretty busy. We love the burger selection and fries are good as well. I would stick to the sandwiches as everyone one I have had has been spot on. I have enjoyed the Chicken Salad sandwich and the classic burger. The drink selection is great and they have quite a few beers on tap. I usually stick to Guinness but my wife likes some of their speciality drinks. read more

We've been going to pub W for the last year. My wife and I have never had a bad service there. The staff seem so well trained and friendly. We prefers to sit at the bar and that's another experience the other bartenders there make you feel welcome give their first names to you and ask for your first name so it's very friendly friendly atmosphere. Ate here last night with a friend. We got the chicken fried steak, carnitas tacos, side of roasted brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze, and chicken casserole. All were delicious except the Brussels sprouts. They were not really roasted well at all. They had zero roasting char on them, were still almost crunchy and tasted like bland, cabbage instead of having a well developed roasted flavor. That was the only disappointment. All in all though, the rest of the food was good and the service staff was really nice. read more

Well, this place was a pleasant surprise. My Husband and I were on our way to Louie's in Brookhaven for lunch the other day and decided to come here instead. We were glad we did. They have a great beer selection and samplers available so you can try multiple options. Their menu is also great. It was really not what I was expecting from somewhere with "pub" in the name. It was pub food-ish, but stepped up a notch too. We were their for brunch and they had a nice bruch menu and all the mimosas you could want. Last stop for girls night, nice place to grab some dessert and coffee and catch up with friends. I love the bread pudding and delicious whiskey sauce that's served on top of it. I've been there once before for dinner and thought the Irish nachos were tasty. On that trip I had the fish and chips, which were pretty standard, but nothing to write home about. Pub W used to be one of our fave eateries in Norman, but brunch today was far less than par. The server has no sense of urgency even one of our party didnt receive their food until everyone else was finished eating. We had to ask for things multiple time and even gave up on ever receiving one of the drinks we order and reminded the server about 2x. The food was OK at best. Waffles were over cooked almost burnt, eggs were cold. I understand now why this was the only place in Norman without a wait when we decided to go to brunch last minute. Kay... I love food, but this place did not meet my expectations. My husband and I have a lot of friends that kept telling us to try this place and when we did, we were very disappointed.The flavors just weren't there, it was all very bland and or missing something. First time, we went for dinner and had their fried brussel sprouts which i did like and my husband had the chicken tenders which were okay. I had the fish and chips. It was all too greasy and very heavy, lacking seasoning. We thought to ourselves, maybe it's us and we headed that way for brunch one weekend. No. just no. I had their bloody mary and it tasted like it came out of pre-made bottle. My husband had the chicken and waffle, if you are into giant frozen eggo waffles, go for it. I ordered the Migas and again, very underwhelmed. Migas are usually packed with flavor since it's eggs, jalapenos, peppers, onions, and cheese. The ingredients alone should make this dish amazing but it was lacking. Their menu has great selections! Maybe if they tweaked their recipes, it may make a big difference. read more

I've never been so happy to live 2 minutes away from a restaurant! Pub W is my go-to for Sunday brunch, Wine Down Wednesday, and Date Night - you seriously can't go wrong. They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 2pm with a limited but incredible brunch menu. I hate to pick favorites because it's all so good but I'd have to say the Chicken & Waffles and Huevos Rancheros are mouth-watering goodness. Pair these favorites with the $2 mimosas and you have yourself the perfect Sunday brunch! You can find me here almost every Wednesday evening with my girlfriends for Wine Night! Every Wednesday they offer a different bottle of wine for $15 - it's fun to get to try a variety of wines you might not try otherwise. (Fun Fact: the $15 bottles are limited availability so if they don't sell them all on Wednesday you can ask for the Wine Down Wednesday special Thursday, Friday, and maybe even Saturday if you're lucky!) I have to briefly touch of the Pretzel Burger - it's the best I've had thus far. It comes with butter lettuce, tomato, their famous blvd cheese sauce (ask for this on the side), & a fried egg!! Probably the worst place I've had lunch at in the Norman area. Ordered the chicken casserole and it was beyond bland. Our appetizer (the Ohio nachos) were dry. We asked for salsa to go with them and this salsa was pretty much just as bland as the rest of the food. Service was decent so hey good job servers. But the food just was awful. Sort of sick to think we spent ~50 dollars on a lunch we barely ate. read more

We come one a week usually, the servers are always polite and they work together so you always have a clean table, full drinks and help if needed. The pretzels and beer cheese are probably the best appetizer. You get 7 pretzels that are hot from the oven. The beer cheese is subtle, not that overwhelming dark malt beer that everyone seems to use but a lighter and crisp beer. My first entree was "The Killer B's". It's a bison burger with blue cheese crumbles and balsamic reduction. It sounded fancy but I was that person that licked my plate and fingers clean. Since then I have ventured out to the Mama's chicken casserole, which is a deconstructed enchilada bowl. And the fish and chips. Two large filets of fish that alone fill someone. They use a batter as a crust instead of the corn meal style but it is a thin crust. So when you get your plate, it's all fish. The interesting turn for this is instead of hush puppies they have squash puppies. Same flavor but the squash is lighter and airy, so they don't dry your mouth out after 2 bites. We come back because it all looks and sounds high class but it's relaxed casual and we never spend over $50 for two of us... read more

My kids, husband and I all love this place! Sometimes we dine in and enjoy a booth, on beautiful days we enjoy the patio and on busy weeknights we love that you can order by phone and they'll bring the food right to your car. The chili-lime chicken salad is the dish I order the most. I also love eating from the appetizer menu (hummus plate, pretzels and squash puppies are soo good) and getting a house side-salad. My husband loves the wings. Another reason we go here a lot is that you get a nice atmosphere, quality and nicely plated food, good service and yet the price point is affordable. They have a wonderful selection of beer, wine, cider and specialty cocktails. Wine down Wednesdays is a great deal. Definitely a must try spot! read more

I came here on St. Patrick's day with some friends and the bar tender was in such a bad mood. People were trying to make her laugh and just hanging out with their friends and she couldn't wipe the disgusted look off her face for a minute. I don't know what everyone is going through. However, when you are getting paid and you're at work try acting like you care and that you're not in a bad mood, your getting paid, it's a holiday, have a shot and cheer the hell up. Our party was not informed of impending food or alcohol service cutoffs when we arrived late after an OU football game. Last call was made a half hour early and entirely unannounced. No opportunity was given to our party to place a last call drink order, nor was it ever an option to put in a food order of any kind for even the most basic of appetizers or snacks even though we arrived and were seated with a half hour remaining before closing. The manager at the location was extremely rude and demonstrated the worst customer service skills I've witnessed in quite a long time. Threats to remove beverages that were unfinished by an arbitrary closing time as well as loud hostile "announcements" along the same lines to several other groups in the restaurant were made. One other party was served what appeared to be a full meal order with only minutes given by the manager for them to eat it. While I understand from working in the industry that the folks serving patrons and the people managing them are of a mind to close out and clean up to get home customer service and satisfaction should remain the highest priority. Based on this experience I find myself completely unable to recommend this establishment to anyone. I will be finding elsewhere to take my business or to recommend to friends or coworkers on future visits to the area. read more
