The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were good, but the other two orders were disappointing. One was Black Bean Nachos ($12) and the other was Habanero Pimento Cheese Hamburger ($14). Chili chicken salad was amazing! We had a group of seven who sat at a table, upon arrival, in the middle of a crowded room. Place was booming and full of fun energy. Waitresses were moving along at a fast pace serving patrons. We were welcomed at our table pretty quickly and attended to with kindness. About 15 minutes later, we realized the needed to move from the center of the room as to hear each other converse. We spotted a corner booth, nearby.We requested to sit there. They cleaned the booth table since the party which sat there had just left. The waitress sat us promptly and with smiles. We all enjoyed our meal and were able to hear each other talk better. The food here is good but the environment and service is why it only gets 3 stars from me:/ I ordered the bacon avocado burger and enjoyed both the burger and the fries, however my burger didn't have any avocado on it, which made me sad because it was a primary reason why I ordered it.. I went at a time when the restaurant wasn't very busy but I wish my server would have checked up more (so I could ask for some avocado). I really wanted to like Pub W. If I was only going out first drinks, I would give Pub W 5 stars. But for dinner, Pub W is 3 stars. I ordered the Chicken & Brie Sandwich. Even when it was first brought out, my sandwich bun was soggy, which was honestly kind of confusing because it was a grilled chicken breast with pear slices and cheese on it. The Pork Belly Burnt Ends is simply misadvertised. They were tough and relatively bland, and did not resemble traditional "burnt ends" in any way. With that being said, the fries were GREAT, the perfect level of seasoning and crispy. The Rosemary 75 cocktail was also phenomenal, and I would definitely order it again. So overall, I would love to go back, but strictly for drinks. read more

After visiting there a few times I find the food tasteful from the appetizers to the desserts. The food is flavorful and portion sizes are not to big or too little. The ambience is nice for a family outing, girlfriends getting together or nice for a date. The service is not a five, they may need more food runners to assist the servers or servers in general. It does take a while request items or retrieve items. The staff is friendly though. Four out five! read more

We were one of maybe a handful of tables (there were 3 of us) at 4pm wanting to eat an early dinner... we ordered around 445 and ate around 530. Each time (which was few and far between) the waitress would come back, she'd assure us that it was almost ready. There were servers, waiters, and waitresses all just standing around. Maybe there was only one person in the kitchen? I doubt it, but maybe... Pub W needs to step up their game on customer service if they want to charge such high prices for some BS "pigs in a blanket." Excellent place! Great burger choices, large but manageable menu, and plenty of tvs for games. Somewhat upper scale but not too fancy, I wouldn't come here in sweats. Staff were really friendly and the place was clean. I ordered a chipotle chicken burger and subbed with a pretzel bun. Nicely spiced, great combination of flavors, and a good amount of food for the price. The best part I think was the sweet potato fries, some of the best I've had. I recommend this place! First let me say I have eaten at the Pub W in Norman since they opened and always been pleased. Recently I dined there with my friends and was shocked at the potion size of my salad. Ordered one of my favorites the chili lime chicken salad. The amount of chicken was fine but was disappointed with the amount of greens. Wouldn't even qualify for a dinner side salad. When I brought this to the attention of our server his response was the manger told the kitchen to cut portion size and just shrugged it off. Later my friends commented the manger was making the rounds in our section but never stopped at our table to inquire about our service, food or anything. Beware if you order a $15 entree salad it's less than side salad size. read more

Gave this place another shot and tried some new things. The pretzels with beer cheese were fantastic! I think you probably can't go wrong with any of their starters. This time I had the orchard salad ($5) and added baked salmon for $10. It's the best salad I've had in awhile. The feta, lemon dressing, and apple slices bring the salad so much natural flavor. My friend was there before me, so I asked the hostess when I walked in to see if she can help me spot her, and the hostess pretty much said, "you could look around for yourself." Anyway, our server, on the other hand, was much more pleasant. I ordered the chicken fried filet mignon, but the entrée was disappointing. The "mignon" was bland as heck and was a bad cut of meat. My server had asked if I wanted extra gravy for my mashed potatoes, which I said yes. However, it turns out there was an additional charge for it. If it were good gravy, I wouldn't mind paying extra for it, but the gravy was very thin-tasting, the roux was separating, and needs to be seasoned. However, the green beans and the toast were excellent. For the price of what I had paid for this dish, it was one of the most horrible piece of chicken fried steak I ever had. It was edible, but it did not satisfy my palate. After this visit, I don't think I ever want to order a chicken fried steak for a while because this place left an unpleasant memory. read more

Ate at Pub W on a football Saturday. Food was very tasty and the portions were generous. Our waitress let my wife and I each try a sample of a beer we had never had. We got the ones we tried. Service was attentive but no cloying. There are screens throughout for sports viewing. There is a nice patio that also has a big screen on it. My bf and I had lunch here today and left happy and full. We split the chupacabra (SO GOOD) which is a chipotle chicken sandwich with grilled onions and jalapeños and spicy aioli. It's my favorite thing on the menu and never disappoints! The roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic are my go to side. We also split a house salad that was very tasty with pretzel croutons, grape tomatoes, egg, and bacon. We added turkey to it and OMG let me tell y'all bout that chili lime dressing! I always get the lemon vinaigrette which is delicious but my bf ordered the chili lime and WHY DID I NEVER TRY IT BEFORE!?! It's damn good. Get it. Thank me later. The beer and cocktail selections are great-a LOT of options on tap and innovative cocktails. I had the Caesar Chavez with grapefruit and a spicy something margarita....it was right up my alley. I don't know what my obsession is with Pub W. Maybe it's the vibe or the food or the way our same server always remembered us. The new enclosed patio is super nice, especially on slightly chilly nights. I'm sad they got rid of the fizzo - a champagne drink they had for awhile. They seem to always get rid of my favorite things, but they replace it with OTHER great items. My long-time favorite is the chicken & Brie sandwich. It's super tasty. Apparently, they recently stopped heating the cheese up with the chicken, so it came to me cold and you could still see the top of the "Brie cubes" or whatever, that layer it has. I didn't want to inconvenience them, but the server was so nice about it! She took the bread and cheese to toast again and it came out perfect and super quick. I was thankful! It was interesting that that the manager dropped the plate off without even a word, but I'm sure he was super busy. Overall, this is one of my favorite places for any meal. I live really close to PubW and go there often. Their happy hour is a steal: $3-5 margaritas/old fashions EVERY DAY (price changes 3-5pm). The appetizers and burgers are all delicious, and other food has been good when I've tried other things. Staff are always very nice and service is good. Go and get a burger. I'm not typically a fan of hush puppies, but the squashpuppies here were amazing! It comes with delicious honey butter and jalapeno jam on the side. I definitely recommend the drunken tuna ceviche as well. For my entree, I ordered parmesan baked fish with high expectations, and I was left a little disappointed. The fish was very very bland.
