    French toast with whipped cream
    Angie G.

I usually love this place but today was not it. I want to preface this by saying the employees were so friendly and quick! Love them. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. The sweet boy had to tell me when I got there to pick up that there were no strawberries. That's fine I said. I have strawberries at home. But when I got home, I opened it to see 4 slices of the French toast. The slices were slightly bigger than a slice of white bread from the store. Still fine even though it was $15. Then I had to scrape of the ridiculous amount of cinnamon burnt on the bread. Then I tasted it and it was like dry bread with a burnt cinnamon layer even after scraping the bulk of it off. It also had the taste of a burger or steak on the really burnt parts. The homemade whipped cream was weird too. Usually it would melt on hot food but it kind of just balled up in a strange texture. I'll definitely still come back because I live close and I've had great food there before and I love the bartenders and servers and the owner (or GM?) who personally greets me almost every time. Hopefully this was a one off.

Been a regular at Pub 28 for 5 years now. Always a good time at night. My favorites are the burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. I know the sauces are made from scratch and you can taste it. Worth stopping by for the music, games and cool folks at the bar at night. Sort of feels like Cheers.

Stopped into Public House for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. I probably shouldn't have been since the food has been good every time I've been here. The steak and eggs were great. The eggs toast and bacon were right on point. I topped it off with a mimosa. Everything was A1. I was ready for a nap after. The service was great as always. Public House 28 is consistently great!

    Bean burger and tots

The three stars is generous. The bean burger was not flavorful at all. The bean had zero spice on them. Boring. Flavorless. I ordered it with bleu cheese on it and it came with some creamy stuff that didn't taste like bleu cheese at all. And with slices of avocado which is pretty bland too. The bun was excellent. The tots were a bit mushy. The presentation as you see was nice. A friend went here and told me how great it is. Today, it was not. 2.7 rating.

    Caprese Burger

A great selection of burgers and sandwiches on the menu, including an amazing caprese burger. One of the best burgers I've had in quite a while. Customer service was strong and prices are very reasonable. Great place to have a meal or drinks to meet with friends or watch a game.

I gotta be so real with ya'll about this spot. So, listen and listen good. My sis and I were searching for a bar and grill to spend time with one another so she chose this spot but didn't know it had been 'gentrified '. Now, when we drove into the parking lot, I admit, I was shocked to see our yt counterparts seated outside. Native Atlantans, I am talking about Bolton Road! We walked in while, what seemed, lto be Bingo and Halloween fun a little hesitant to be seated. We sat down and greeted by Matosha. SHe was great and nice. I ordered the deviled eggs. I couldn't handle the strong zesty taste of mustard and barbecue sauce drizzled across powdered with a chili pour. Next, the Mushroom and Swiss burger was absolutely amazing! Juicy and all with a side of ranch to dip. Now, the salad could have had more ingredients for its $9 cost. I washed it down with the Mango Lemonade Boozy. My sis had the Ribeye and Brussel Sprouts. Omg! That was the best steak ever with crispy edges. I started to order one to go. The place was calm. Now, don't go messing things up. This is a hotspot for the locals. So, if you are going to go...they are kind and they are important. Check this spot out and ask for Matosha

Everything I've had here, so far, is delicious. The service is always very quick and friendly. The atmosphere is unbeatable. A good relaxed atmosphere to watch the game, or unwind at lunch or after work. Great beer selection.

This is a great spot! The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was top notch (thanks, Emily!), and the prices were very reasonable. The deviled eggs were outstanding! We will be back! (And, they are dog friendly!)

Urgent care in the morning, thank you

I had food poisoning after eating a burger from this location. I picked up an order of a medium-well Cheddar Burger with Bacon, tots, and a chicken sandwhich with sweet potato fries. The burger looked great online, so I picked this place. I ate the burger at 9pm, and went to bed at 11, to wake up at 1am, 3am, 5am, 9am, to vomit each time, and with diarrhea. It didn't go away, I am in alot of pain, I had to take a visit to urgent care where they gave me a shot and prescribed me pills to take. I reached out to the restaurant and spoke with the manager to let him know what happened to me, and ask if he would work with me on covering for this incident, he was extremely rude and unprofessional, he defended his restaurant by saying "you could have ate something before and that caused it" well I was on a 3 hour flight and went directly to this restaurant because I was hungry! See my ticket below, 33A, the absolute last seat on the plane, they dont serve you food here. I hadn't ate since 2pm. I expected a more honest approach and not a defensive approach, as a manager, or owner, you should NEVER come across that defensive, it makes you look guilty. I did inform him I will contact legal services, he didn't even offer me a refund for the food that is STILL damaging my stomach 18 hours later! Thats the very least you should do as a leader!

Definitely not medium, and extremely dry old steak. Who sells old steaks?

Upon arrival, you check in and show your ID and present a credit card. You are then given a card that you use to purchase what wine you want. They have a wide variety from whites to rose to red to sweet wines. All the ones we tried were good. The prices are a bit high - about $4-5 for a small pour (my guess for red is about 2 oz), ~$9 for a medium pour, and ~$18 for a glass. It's a great concept though where you can try what you want but it can get pricey quick. They have different food options as well, including salads, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. We went on a Friday and they had live jazz outside which was great to listen to. It's a great spot for a date night or for a small group of friends. It can get crowded so it might not be as good for larger groups.

We met Brittney at the bar and she was completely delightful! (they had no idea of difference they were making in our dinner date!) FRIED GREEN TOMATOES... do not miss these. The fried chicken and collards dish... It's signature! Do yourself a favor and order that. The drinks were lovely. I can't remember what all we ordered. And then in the end, the butter cake. Barton was my waiter and he was very friendly and thoughtful, paid attention to details, and checked in often, making the experience really great They give you free biscuits, cornbread, and butter which are pretty good, I devoured them. Very nice touch and made the whole experience elevated as well. For food, I ordered the blackberry nogrito, crab cakes, and shrimp and grits. The blackberry nogrito was very good but quite sweet, it came off as a blackberry mint mocktail similar to a mojito but the syrup flavor was a bit strong. The crab cake appetizer was delicious, probably my favorite thing! It was huge and the flavor was strong but not overpowering or heavy, which made for a really nice appetizer! It came with a mayo like sauce and was on a bed of corn for some flavor variety, but really enjoyed the crab cake. It also came out PIPING hot and was very enjoyable. The shrimp and grits came with a Smokey almost gumbo like sauce, kind of like a Cajun take on shrimp and grits. It was filled with shrimp that was very bouncy (not overcooked!), smoked ham/sausage, and was very generous on the sauce and grits. Was very enjoyable. Will definitely come back for the exceptional service and good food!
