I went for the oyster happy hour ($2 Oysters). The oysters had a really nice flavor but they were super thin!! Loved the apple cider vinegar that comes with it. Also it was no one in the restaurant but me and 6 raw oysters look like 15 minutes+ to come out.

Good was soooooo good and service was outstanding. Mocktails I LOVE that they actually took the time to curate mocktails for the none drinkers and they were delicious. My fish was great. Pigs in the black and okra appetizers were amazing. We will be going back. I wish I could remember the name of our server becuase she was outstanding. She goes by two names and I believe she was Asian. Prayerfully that's not insulting but she was absolutely incredible. I want to always sit at her tables

I came here for a work dinner with my boss, and we were both quite impressed. The inside has an industrial chic design, with dynamic murals on the exposed brick walls. The staff is very upbeat and attentive. They have some great happy hour specials, especially for being an upscale restaurant; I highly recommend trying the duck confit laffa (essentially a flat bread), because at a $10 price point, you'll be hard pressed to find a better bang for your duck. The charred octopus salad is also delightful and vibrant with fava beans, watermelon radishes and frisee, but it's not a happy hour item, so it's a little bit more costly. For an entree, I chose the pan fried trout, and it was cooked to perfection...crispy skin, succulent filet. My one critique is that the basmati rice base is a little sodium heavy from the soy sauce. I would like to see a little more flavor development, perhaps a salty/sweet dynamic, or a little more acidity. It was still a great meal, just a bit one dimensional with the rice.

My company had a holiday party here and it was fantastic! The interior was well decorated - it gave classy vibes and the restaurant is well maintained. We didn't get to have any of the entrees, but it was apps and an open bar all night. Every app that I had was great! The truffle fries, brussel sprouts, pigs in a blanket, and cheese puffs were my personal favorites! Chicken satay/skewer felt a bit dry. The service was friendly and very helpful - they were regularly walking around to clear plates and take drink orders. Our party took over the whole place that night, and I've seen some restaurants crack under the busyness, but The Woodall staff kept up well. I got a Strawberry Smash cocktail and it was decent, except it tasted a bit more orange-y than strawberry. A nice fruity cocktail nonetheless. Decent amount of plaza parking! Would definitely come back for a more typical dining experience

I went for brunch and they had only a few vegetarian items (I didn't pick the location). I ordered the shakshuka, which I'd say was more of a take on it. I wanted to love it but overall it was salty and the okra was slimy. There was some good flavors and I was pleasantly surprised by the decent portion size. I was curious about the vegan risotto but it's just not in me to spend $19 on veggie risotto. My friend was disappointed with her chicken biscuit. She said it was nothing special, but she said the gouda polenta was yummy. She also said the coffee was just okay. I understand that it's not a breakfast place but I'd think that people would want a good cup of coffee with their brunch. It's in a big shopping center so there was lots of parking. The vibe was cool, there's a beautiful mural on one wall. Our waitress was nice and attentive.

Visit this place twice this month!! It's so good! Love the customer service and was sit immediately for both visits. Charred okra is so good has to be my favorite appetizer. Peachtree mule is spirit free HOWEVER it's so refreshing and was perfect with my short rib...soft as better full of flavor I recommend adding another side. Great portion sizes and you can leftovers home. I also had durham's fried chicken crispy chicken, pickles, butter lettuce, special sauce, brioche). The chicken was juicy and you don't need any condiments (trust me)! Both waiters were awesome. The music playing on Sunday I went was perfect! Nice atmosphere and we were encouraged to come during golden hours on Wednesday I will report back! I highly recommend this place!

We love the Woodall for an upscale wine list on the Westside. Tonight the salmon entree with asparagus and broccoli was delicious as was the French onion soup. The wine list here has something for everyone and the bartender is helpful with selecting a good value. We come back again and again for the great service and close attention to detail. The bar has a fun vibe with friendly patrons, and the restaurant is reasonably full but not so packed that you can't get a table. We enjoyed a visit from the manager tonight to check on us too. Keep it up Woodall!

I always enjoy my meal here. This last visit I had the half roast chicken dinner - I'm a sucker for meat with mashed potatoes and green beans and this one is very well done! (Not well done as in over done, well done as in I pretty much licked my plate clean.) The green tea matcha cucumber gimlet is my go-to drink here - can't pass it up! The service is always spot on and it's a cozy atmosphere. When my grown children come into town they always want to go here - even with the 8 million other choices in Atlanta and I think that says something!

We came to The Woodall as a party of 8 plus a baby to celebrate a graduation. It was during the week so it wasn't packed at the time we went and was sat immediately. Our waiter explained some items on the menu and made suggestions; however I wasn't wowed by it. The menu is ranging between $$-$$$, they do have a few options up there for my fellow pescatarians. An app that was my favorite was the truffle fries & the mussels were my least favorite, which was a let down. The mussels were a bit cold and undercooked to me. For my main entree I ordered the grilled salmon with the asparagus and roasted broccoli and green sauce. The salmon cooked to perfection and so were the veggies, the sauce FLAVORFUL! Salmon moist with a nice cook on the exterior, veggies were not in quantity what I expected it was about 2-3 asparagus cut into threes, and the same with the broccoli about 2 pieces cut in 2s; however they had a nice crunch to them. I would return back just for the truffle fries and grilled salmon; I do hope they add more veggies on the plate . The drinks are bottle drinks, wine, cocktails, I don't believe they have like a sweet tea or lemonade situation.

My cousin and I had the best time here over the weekend. We had a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday, but because life is ridiculous we were quite late. Thankfully our reservation was still honored and we were seated without incident! RJ was our server and I'm almost positive he made this experience what it was. He was sooo patient with my indecisive cousin, helping her decide on what to eat and drink. He checked on us repeatedly sometimes just to join in on the conversation which we absolutely welcomed! The food was pretty good too, we had the Cacio e Pepe and the Pappardelle Lamb Sugo as entrees and the shrimp toast and crab beignets for apps. I indulged in an expresso martini and my cousin had a daiquiri of some kind. Overall we enjoyed ourselves! Parking is ample and free - always a plus!

Parking: there is a huge parking lot adjacent to the restaurant, so parking should not be an issue. Ambiance: the ambience is somewhat New Age, American, with brick and modern elements tied to some rustic charm. It's slightly generic, but I do like the booth seating and how intimate it feels, even though it's in the center of the restaurant. There is an open kitchen window that I didn't even see until I was on my way to the bathroom because of how cozy the booths were. Service: the service really shined here. Caroline was our waitress on Tuesday night and her recommendations were absolutely perfect. I was there with a girlfriend celebrating her birthday, and Caroline made it so special without being overwhelming. She was perfectly attentive and could tell when we were in the middle of a conversation, but always had our drinks filled and brought out the food in a very great sequence. Food: wow. I am overwhelmed with how unexpectedly great the food was here. We had the "far east" Caesar salad, which they split for us and two separate ripples. It definitely leaned towards an Asian salad with a sesame based dressing, but the kale added a nice touch. The okra was unbelievable. I have only eaten fried okra so trying chard okra really changed the game. Even though okra was the star of the show, the dish is served with a delicious side dip and even better pita. This was truly finger, licking good. Finally, we shared the lamb pasta. This pasta came in two sizes, which we really liked because we were going to try multiple things, so we had the smaller portion. The pasta was perfectly balanced with absolutely delicious and soft lamb. I would absolutely order this again, but the smaller portion was perfect because it is a heavier dish. We ended the evening with the Baileys cake, which was so perfectly balanced. It was not too sweet at all, and let the Baileys shine. The cake was small and portion, but mighty with each bite. Overall, I'd love to return to the Woodall and try the seasonal changes!

Dined at the Woodall for the first time to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday and it will NOT be my last. The Woodall was kind in hosting a group of family for this celebration. The restaurant was located in a shopping plaza so parking is easy and free. Upon entry the decor is rustic modern with the lighting of a steakhouse but music is upbeat. The staff from entrance to our exit were extremely kind and lively. To start our table ordered a variety of appetizers: smoked salmon dip, crab beignets and Parmesan truffle fries. The smoked salmon dip was packed with flavor, the capers being my favorite. The crab beignets were a HIT as they were not stingy with the crab meat, were well flavored paired with wasabi honey mustard that we chose to have on the side. For entrees I ordered the pappardelle lamb sugo which was so rich in flavor with tender noodles and had a great portion of the lamb. My husband ordered the roasted chicken that sat over a veggie puree that tasted like mashed potatoes. The chicken skin was roasted perfectly to have a crunch but still be full of flavor. Others at the table thoroughly enjoyed the chicken sandwich and trout. Lastly the birthday girl received a butter cake paired with Bailey's whipped cream that she absolutely loved. We all thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Brian was an amazing server providing great recommendations through out the night.

I came in for Brunch with a friend. I was seated right away. My server was Emily, she was kind and very nice. We had pigs in the blanket for an appetizer, so delicious. I had shaksuka it was alright. My favorite was the French toast, so delicious. The ambiance was welcoming and cool. I loved the painting on the wall, great vibe by the bar area, and the music was amazing.

Are vegan options available for brunch?

Sorry for the delay in responding. We have an avocado toast with the crab or egg, far east salad without chicken, green beans, carrots, or the breakfast potatoes. Thanks.

Is this restaurant accessible for powered wheelchairs? I previously went to a few restaurants and the tables are too low for powered wheelchairs.

Jade ~ Our table are standard height so if you have had a problem at other restaurants then the powered wheelchair likely will be too tall at our place too. You can send me the arm height so I can measure if you would like. Thank you. Kaffee

This is a Belgian-inspired brewery, restaurant, bookstore, and beer garden all under one roof. Bold Monk is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, near Chattahoochee Food Works and Topgolf Atlanta Midtown. There's plenty of free parking around the building and on the street (Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). I like the space here because there are various spaces inside and "outside" to spread out and hang out. I put "outside" in quotes because their patio is fully covered and enclosed -- good for bad weather. I had the Presence Pilsner (lager, 4.8%, 16 oz, $7). It was cold, crisp, and refreshing. I recommend it. The menu describes it as offering a "soft bready malt, delicate herbal and floral hop notes, and clean, dry finish." For dinner, I had the Salmon Dip ($16) to start and the Steak + Frites (market price) as my main. The Salmon Dip is made with house-cured salmon and tarragon aioli, and comes with thin toast triangles. The Steak + Frites is "chef's cut" (not sure which, didn't ask) and comes with Bearnaise, arugula, and Belgian frites (fries). The Bearnaise went great with both the steak and the fries. Bold Monk is known for their Belgian Frites, "The Original French Fry," which comes with a variety of sauces and in a few different styles. They also offer a variety of mussels and pizza. My buddy had one of the pizzas, "the 1838," I believe, which comes with different mushrooms, mozzarella, and house-made truffle ricotta. He seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas - the 1836, the 1899, the 1838, the 1850, and the 1862 - are all named after years that monasteries opened in Europe. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out just right. The quality of the cut was average/about what you'd expect for budget-friendly steak frites (it's no Bar Blanc in terms of cut quality). But still, that and the Salmon Dip were tasty and satisfying enough. Good service from both our server and the host/manager, who made sure my friend did not leave his jacket behind. Bold Monk opened in December 2019.
