Furthermore, I happened to close out my account on the day the new cycle began no knowing they would charge me the entire month so I called them to try to get a break and they did not budge. Thieves!!! I have had a storage unit here for maybe 18 months. When I first moved into it, it cost a mere $56 monthly. Which still seemed steep for a 5x10 unit. Then it went up to $72, then $100, and now i get a letter in the mail saying it's going up to $118 for a tiny little mouse and moisture ridden unit. And, they reserved me a unit that did not exist. I showed up with a truck full of stuff, and they made me drive another hour away to the only available units. I was in a U haul so that cost me about $75 just to make the extra trip. I am furious, and i feel cheated, and taken advantage of. You're better off building yourself a garage. How can you justify price increases of 18% and the other two were more like 25%. They should be ashamed, but they laugh as they steal from good people. read more

Place seems clean, love the contactless rental option. Would like to have access to dolly or cart for the indoor storage spaces. Since there is a distance to have to move things. If you could offer this to your renters like uhaul does it would bring the rating up for me. read more

I gave this place 5 stars when we first went to rent two storage units. Karen was most helpful and friendly. Not so now. The issue is with getting our refund; we prepaid on both storage units. We checked out of one in Oct '18 the other Nov '18 We were told we 48 hours for our credit due. That was a lie!!! After a call to "corporate" - I was told 2-3 weeks once "approved". Approved for what? Our credit card got zapped with the entire year's rent in about 3 seconds. Now I have to wait on an approval?? Spoke to Karen - she referred me to some manager - I called - never received a return call. Two days later I call Karen who surprisingly was just about to call me. Go figure. Karen said my refund would be received by Monday. Via a check versus credit back to my credit card All the time, Karen blamed corporate and it was not her fault. She had never called us to see if we received our refunds. She is all hugs and friendly, however, can't really help in any way. Three days later. No refund. Ok. Public Storage was practically begging for a 5 star review when we rented - perhaps a ONE star may help others stay away from this place. Not happy ZERO Stars if I could. Over a week later still no refund. Stay away from this Finally after just over a month later I received our refund. Needed to talk to 4 people at PS. I will give them 3 stars The level of service while we were their was great. read more

Beware ...the longer you stay the more they will raise your rent to the point you have to leave. Was a long term customer starting when the site was called Devon Storage. Every year they raised price eg., over 30 dollars to point of paying almost 300 a month! I complained and they didn't care about long term loyal customers. It seemed it was part of company policy for James to sell their moving products in the office which he did but didnt push back when I decided not to buy anything more. You sign a contract thinking that your payment will stay the same. They raise your rent payment every 6 months. I'm done! this is my last month with them, and I would never use this company again, my rent payment is about 100 more per month than when I started my contract. I had a different storage unit about 15 years ago for about 3 years and my rent didn't increase once. So that is something I will be looking for if I need a storage unit again. read more

The people at this location were very helpful. Our movers abandoned our belongings and Jessica at Public Storage was a blessing. She was so understanding dealing with the angry movers with us. We were able to get our stuff moved into a unit quickly and they even lent us the use of a cart to make it easier. The place is very clean and well taken care of and the staff are informed and capable. Any issue (though we didn't have any) would be from company policy not the location or staff. read more

I wish my review was a "glowing" as most of the other reviews I have read regarding this facility, especially on Public Storage's biased website that they control. Last Monday, my wife went and reserved a 10' X 15' storage unit with Olivia. Things seemed to be great as she got her in and out of there in a hurry. She offered my wife one of their overpriced $20 locks and my wife politely refused it because we already had one that we were going to use from another PS unit we had on Joy Road in Canton, whose term was up at the end of the month. The drama started when we went back on Wednesday with 2 movers and our trailer full of boxes and totes to put in our new storage unit. It seems that Olivia left PS's lock on our unit, per policy, and we couldn't access it without her taking it off. Since it was 6:30 pm and after "office hours", she was nowhere to be found and could not be reached until the next day. Thus, we had to send the movers home and come back the next day during their office hours. This not only caused us a HUGE inconvenience but also cost us money because we had to pay the movers more to come back on a new day ($100 more). Anyone who has been through the horrors of moving knows how stressful it can be and this is a situation you don't want to run into. To further add fuel to our fire, we had to be out of our old home by Friday evening so it's not like we had the luxury of time in getting everything done that needed to be. When I called PS the next day and spoke with Karen in an agitated and irascible tone to describe what happened, she was only interested in defending PS"s policies and procedures. After about 2 minutes, she hung up on me. Clearly, she doesn't have thick skin and should not be in a position of customer service where she has to deal with irate customers, especially when they are upset because of a mistake one of PS employees made. Olivia went through PS's policies and procedures so quickly when my wife first came in to rent the unit, that she neglected to mention that the unit could only be unlocked during office hours. PS's office hours and gate access hours differ by about 4 hours during weekdays. Karen did call me back after about 15 minutes and proceeded to go over PS's policies and procedures without acknowledging any fault of Olivia. I felt that I should be compensated for my time and wasted money in terms of discounted rent because of Olivia's mistake and/or PS's customer unfriendly policies and procedures but I could tell she sure didn't think so. I asked to speak to her manager and she did give me his name (Gary Herndel) and phone number. I called Gary twice last week and left a voicemail requesting that he call me. It has been a week now and he still has not returned my phone call. I guess he has better things to do than manage customer relations. Public Storage has a long way to go in order to receive a 5 star rating from me, at least at this location. I wish I could find out who Gary's boss is so I can relay my experience to him or her. Experience has taught me that if you go high enough up the food chain, you will eventually find a sympathetic ear to listen! read more

Seems to be a clean and safe facility. However, I am annoyed they won't pro rate your month if you are done with your storage unit after the 7th of the month. Yes you will pay for the rest of the month. Also they make you pay for the lock. ($20). Which you get to keep, however the lock is not a normal lock. It's a proprietary lock that only works on these units. So there's a waste of money. Also the MAKE you buy insurance for each month starting at $9. And also pay about a $15 registration fee. So as you can see the fees add up.... Moya the girl that registered us was very friendly though so there's that. read more

I wish that I could give this property Site and Company negative Stars. I Recently Moved out so I no longer needed my Large Unit that I opened a year ago. So on September 20th 2016 I downsized to a smaller unit.I paid for two units in September. The gentleman that opened my account let me know that as long as I was Moved out of My old unit and it was inspected before the 6th I would be pro-rated for the month and only pay for the 6 days I had the old unit that month. the Last time I pinned into this location was the 5th of October 2016 to Clean the remaining Items I had and Sweep the unit out.. I Had called the location the previous Sunday and Again Wednesday( the 5th ) to confirm that I had the employee on staff that day coming to inspect my unit to close it out in the system, which He confirmed he would be. I assumed this was taken care of, until the next week I noticed I was still billed for the entire amount for the month of that unit. I called to ask what happened and this is when all the trouble started . I believe the Girls name was Brittany. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional and Disrespectful. Said that I cannot prove that I called to schedule this and that they have no record of me calling. I then tried scheduling it again, nothing. I had left my Old unit Clean, empty and with no lock. I had my mother stop by my unit and see if there was a lock on the unit to make sure it was left open for inspection . She confirmed there was no lock on the unit. The same day I called the office again to ask them to close the unit due to their own error and remove the charges from my account .Brittany told me I have no idea what I am talking about because there was a lock on the unit. I told her I confirmed there was not.and that if there was it was not mine. I even Left work early drove an hour to the location to meet with this rude little girl .Brought the lock with me that they had sold me to show I had my lock , that the one that she had on the unit was not mine. and showed that my keys only worked with the Lock I had NOT the one on the unit. She said "well I don't know what you want me to tell you this is not my problem , you can take it up with the property manager if you want " she advised that on the 13th of the month they cut locks and if mine was empty that, that would clear it up and I would be able to speak with customer service about removing the bill. she then gave me the wrong number for the property manager at PS that I called and left a voicemail for 5 times asking the girl at PS to relay the message. I left at least 6 voice mails for customer service with no return response. They cut the lock obviously and never returned my calls or addressed my concerns .They still are trying to bill me for $142 for that month and have sent it to collections. STAY AWAY. I will be moving out of the unit this month and looking to take this to small claims. TERRIBLE customer service.!!! read more

nice clean place. not happy that they change the monthly rate about every 6 months have been there for a 1 year and half and I have had my monthly rate go up 3 times. with that I am moving my items to a different storage place. plus you have to buy a lock from them can not use any time of lock. read more
