Over the holiday, I learned that a friend's locker at the HOOKSTON PLEASANT HILL had been emptied by thieves. Throughout the entire process the property manager didn't care to help resolve the situation and instead put my friend through three days of emotionally hell: his families' ashes were in the locker too. Not until Friday morning did the friend discover it was not his locker after all, but another locker. However, my friend came to a horrific realization: although PUBLIC STORAGE claims the premises are secure and monitored by SURVEILLANCE, Pleasant Hill Police confirmed that is false, and there is only one camera for the entire location: at the front gate. Therefore, if someone breaks into your locker, your stuff is gone and no way to help capture the culprit. The insurance takes the hit and then the insurance rates go up. So I wouldn't recommend using PUBLIC STORAGE until they install cameras in all the buildings, hall ways, and everywhere in the buildings to TRULY offer is client's piece of mind for the $400 they charge for units now. read more

We just rented a storage unit for the first time ever and our first experience was amazing! We rented through Cartier and although it was only her 3rd day, you couldn't tell. She was fantastic. Tammi was there overseeing the whole process and between the two - it was SUPER EASY, very professional and most of all, they were through and very detailed and FAST (we were actually in a huge hurry that day and they were completely respectful of our deadlines). I love it that this location has cameras and a key code for both exit and entry which makes the unit very safe. We had so much to unload and they made sure that we were able to have our PODS delivered as well. We ended up having to come back a second time to unload a second POD and Tammi was once again, AMAZING. Really Really Really great. Thus far, a fabulous experience and I am very happy we chose this Concord location!!! read more

The facility itself and pricing ARE NOT what distinguishes this storage facility from all the others. It's TAMMI the site manager that makes this the location of choice for so many of its tenants. Tammi and her team are responsive and always available to lend a hand. This is a great place to store your stuff, and I totally recommend them. Tammi is so sweet and helpful it is like storing your belongings with a friend. They are very efficient, as well: I was going to meet my movers at the facility but got lost. When I got there, I found that my movers had been let inside, and they were waiting for me right outside my storage unit. It is a very helpful and friendly place! read more

The site itself seems safe, clean, and really easy to access. The hours are convenient, as it gives me time to stop by after work if need be. This place completely sucks. We were just robbed. Apparently, there has been 9 other units that were broken into and this place didnt even let anyone know. A simple email would of been nice. Do your self a favor and stay away from these incompetent low lives. We suspect this was an inside job. read more
