We had items stored there for over a year and a 1/2, maybe 2. Management was always excellent to deal with James in particular. When the rates were raised, I would call and speak to him. And he always negotiated something lower for me. The place was always clean and they were always responsive. One time, we left the storage unit unlocked and received a call right away to let us know. I currently have a unit at the monument location! Well I'll talk about that one later , for now I'd like to focus on the Solano location and the amazing God sent angel that works there... JUAN! Juan is literally sn angel sent from above to help my aunt and I. After a very chaotic 1.5h trying to get in and find my Unit (it was Saturday morning and we had gotten the storage online so it was just miscommunication- I will make another review) this review is about Juan and how helpful and amazing he was. Literally saved my 50yo aunt and I. We were alone trying to unload a huge truck and we didn't even have any tools nor a dolly ! I called Juan right at 9:01am and he promptly answered the call, he said he look for a dolly and bring us one. Not only did he bring us a dolly , he took apart my bed with his tools, he helped us carry the big pieces of furniture out from the truck and into my storage with us the second to last one ! After he was finished helping us, my aunt asked for water in a different language and he said "water ? Yes I got you" and he went back and again came back and brought us big cold waters. It was over 90degrees at 10am and he really went about and beyond to make sure we were good. I honestly don't even have the words to thank this man. ESS you need to give him a raise. Excellent and friendly customer service. The facility is very conveniently located right off the freeway. They helped me throughout the process, facilities are clean, secure and I was impressed the staff do a daily storage lock check. They called to notify me our unit wasn't properly locked which was much appreciated. I'd highly recommend Extra Space Storage! read more

I have used this location a couple times. One time I tried a competitor in the area due to their rate being a couple dollars cheaper and I was so disappointed. Don't go anywhere but here. I really appreciated they have clean nice concrete floors, very cool. You will never be in a call center environment. You speak directly to their onsite staff or manager who truly care about any concerns you have. I must especially give thanks to Jax for always being so professional and helpful. read more

I got this unit in August 2021 after a huge ordeal with my landlords...loved the unit and price was good. People that work there... eh. Zero personality. But the unit is easy to get to. Fast forward 3 months, they raised it $80 right before Christmas... now paying closer to $300 for a 10' X 10' unit instead of $180. Look closely at #4 on your lease, not only do they out right say they can do this... you sign it because you are desperate for a place. They also didn't mention that you have to get their insurance, either. They also keep your debit card in their system and bully you to keep it in their system. Everyone who doesn't have their cards on file get an extra 9 days to pay. These people are serious crooks. They are just as bad as my slum lords that I am trying to get away from. Paid early from my debit card after transferring funds to that electronic usability as cash cannot be received when office not opened. Paid for 30 days promised the auto Payment would not be processed the following day by James new manager. Asked for payment date change to 3rd instead of 30th and provided amount which I stated I would pay. The automatic payment WAS performed and on March 3 promised refund would be issued but never was performed by James after several morning meetings at my unit. Saturday March 21 again spoke with manager and again asked about refund which he again stated had gone back to my bank account. Took bus to my bank no refund or receipts provided by Extra Space Storage arrived back at 9:00 p.m. to secure my valuable property for the night and take my disability medication stored as had been stolen before many times along with my important mail for sending out replies . My unit was locked without any written notice as to the reason. This caused extreme medical problems including walking for miles in dark with rolling bags since I cannot lift part of my disability that this facility was informed before I rented access was 6:00 am til 10:00 pm allowing storing valuable papers and medical . This storage facility violated ADA Act and stole my property requiring time and effort to replace on limited income as a senior elderly person. No communication at all by management even after payments received you will never receive any receipt from manager as James fails to listen or perform requests made multiple times without even a written note why access special additional lock placed on my unit same day in evening when spoke with this person that same morning. Obviously this person has no memory, hearing and provides false info to customer of this facility. Cannot trust spoken words from this facility at all find another not Extra Space as class action in Northern California Federal Court for bait & switch on rental pricing as well. read more

We have been her for at least a year and have never had a problem. The facility is clean And secure. They customer service is always here n point. You are always treated with a smile and a friendly rep. didn't t give a 5 star because they are a little pricey, but worth it. read more

I only needed a couple of months of storage but with a large space. I managed to get the last available storage bay, and they set me up with the get a free month after the first month deal. They were always friendly when I swung by, I got everything I expected, and there were no issues. What else could you ask for? read more

I think it's time to move from here. I have been here for over a year and the rate just keeps going up. It's actually gone up almost double from what I used to pay. Aside from rates going up, the inconvenience of the construction going on. I can't even park my car next to my unit because of it. When is the construction going to end?? I have been renting here for a few months and have had nothing but problems with other tenants blocking the gate and smoking in what they said was a non smoking facility. The staff doesn't return your phone calls or deal with any complaints you make online. I will be moving out the first chance I get. Thank you Extra Space Storage for being just another shitty storage facility. read more

No Stars if possible,I've been having my storage unit for a yr and they keep raising the rates. I went online and the unit like mine is wayyyyy cheaper than the $216 I'm being charged for my 10x11, the only reason I got that exact one is bc that was all they had. The person I chatted with online said they'd have the Manager call me, she called and left a message sounding like she didn't give af and it was just her job to call back. I called the other day they said she was not available and that there were no notes in system, so normally that meant the manager couldn't give me a discount bc they are giving me the unit at the pricing anyone else who's new wld pay, which then I said well you're online rates are cheaper than $216 she said yea that's for new customers! So stupid, make up your mind! I swear if ABBA had theirs available this month I'd move my belongings bc there's is going for $160 plus insurance. read more
