What wasn't fair was how everything else was handled. I was quoted $23 for a box, which I later found out included Styrofoam packing and "labor." When I said I'd just pack it myself, the employee asked if I brought tape. When I said no, he told me they charge $2.99 just to use their tape. Meanwhile, the employee next to him was taping up boxes for other customers for free, which made the whole situation even more confusing and frustrating. I asked for the cheapest shipping option to New Jersey and was told it would be $40. I double-checked multiple times to see if there was anything cheaper and was told no. At that point, I was looking at nearly $70 total just to ship a small package, which didn't sit right with me. I decided to walk out and come back another time with my own box. The next day, I went to a different UPS Store and got a box and shipped the same package for just under $30. less than half of what I was quoted here. This place felt like it was full of upsells and unnecessary add-ons, especially from the older gentleman who was helping me. I'd strongly recommend double-checking every charge if you end up here. I'll be honest, I already knew this location had a reputation for long lines and poor customer service, but I was in a pinch. Lesson learned. There are much better UPS Stores out there. I will NEVER come back to this location.

The management is responsive and takes their time to explain how things work. As soon as I submitted my info trough their website, dispatch got back to me in about 15 minutes with moving details. They called me the day before my move to remind about the appointment, and what really surprised me , the even called the next day to follow up, isn't it nice :) My movers were Andrew, Max and Peter this time, and they are professional movers, very efficient, and really fast even though my move became longer than I thought... thanks to freight elevator being broken... I was initially suspicious of the $60 deposit over PayPal, but it ended up working out well. I was scheduled to have the movers arrive between 8 and 9 AM. Tim, Vitalik, and Sasha called to let me know they'd arrive in 20 mins and arrived at 9AM. From the beginning until the end, the guys were professional, cordial, fast, hard working, careful, and helpful. I had pretty much my entire apartment packed in boxes prior to them arriving. It took them around 3 hours to get all of the boxes and my furniture into the truck (I had a lot of furniture). They wrapped all of my furniture in plastic wrap and blankets. 40 min drive to my apartment and two hours to unload everything to the 3rd floor (no elevator). In total, I was charged for 5.75 hours. The $60 deposit was removed from my total and I paid the difference at the end of the move. As I said earlier, they were very friendly and careful with my furniture. I would highly recommend using their service and I plan to use them again next time I need to move.

I was moving things from a 10x10 storage unit into a 1 bedroom apartment about an hour and a half away, with 1 stop to pick up a couch along the way. Total time took about 5.5 hours. On the other hand, things got weird when it was time to pay. I didn't appreciate feeling pressured when they tried to tell me that a 30% tip was the standard. I gave them 20%, which I felt was a good tip and standard for a good job. I was also pressured into writing both a Yelp and Google review, leaving them 5 stars as they hovered over me. I am coming back and editing my review now that I've had time to reflect on things. This explains all of the 5 star reviews!
