Back in September, I saw two rats in the stairwell. They've now made their way into the units. Today, one ran on the piping over my head, stopped, looked at me, and ran into the unit next door. There are now rat feces and rat urine in my unit and all the way down the hallway, which leads me to assume that they're in all of the units. For as much money as we pay, you'd think they would get a professional exterminator to come onsite and handle the issue. Oh and there's an extremely strong smell of urine coming out of unit 2113, which has been there for the last few months. I'm 99% sure a homeless person was living in there while it was in between tenants. I first noticed that there was a huge wet area outside of the unit and the smell was coming from it. I went back a few weeks later and the wet area had dried up and the smell was even stronger. I made a formal complaint online in December and wet area is still dried up outside of the unit and has a strong urine smell (see pics). Lastly, let me say that I've been a tenant of this facility for over a year. I've had zero problems until the last few months (minus the homeless people blocking the entryways before the office opens in the mornings). I'm not sure if they're under new management or if they stopped caring, but this is truly unacceptable.

The day I purchased the unit there were several people in the office who pretty much just stared at me while I tried to figure out where to get a dolly. i eventually just came back the next day. on my move day - there were zero dolly's left. only 2 in the building and when i asked the rep (a dark skin man with dreads) he just shrugged and laughed it off. it's crazy to think that they only have 2 dolly's for a location that is huge and has multiple floors. very unappealing area, and they will charge you for pretty much anything. the main manager is just rude and very nonchalant, as if he could careless to be there. what really threw me off was the lack of supplies and unwavering attention to all the folks who needed help. the access codes don't even work either

Friends kept telling me horror stories about chain storage facilities which increase prices unexpectedly and repeatedly. And the ones I toured had poor security and/or were dirty. (Thank goodness I finally found another locally managed facility, though not quite up to A3's standard: Melanie spoiled me!) Parking for unloading was convenient and near the elevators, and access to complimentary dollys made unloading quick and easy. The actual rental process was very easy and thoroughly explained by John H., the property manager on site. I felt very comfortable in choosing this location to store my items. The Manager AMANDA always gave the BEST in Customer Service. Amanda was always prompt to answer my call and to answer any questions. She proved to be personable and efficient! Even by phone I knew she was smiling, and loves what she does. She is a wonderful person and a an asset to Alamo Storage Company! My worries were few as the unit was Climate Controlled, regularly Pest Controlled and the property always kept clean and secured. The Security System is excellent and I never had an issue whatsoever! During the 10 years I had NO bad experience, none of my valuables were damaged or even dusty since the area is maintained as it has been. As far as the value, it was the most affordable anywhere.
