If I could give zero stars, I would. I needed to store some nice furniture for a few months. Was told while not "climate controlled," this "indoor" unit was always around "room temperature". I was also told the property manager was on-site during access hours. Honestly, nothing said to me by Public Storage was true. The metal shed that is this facility (even indoors) was about 150 degrees (not good for furniture and art). There was no property manager anywhere. Had trouble getting in the gate, finding the elevator, and the unit. Phone number just went to answering machine. I left multiple messages because I was on the clock with movers. No one answered. Corporate gave me some other "personal" number for the manager, which just went right back to the answering machine. Now I have to spend more time and money to find a new facility that meets my needs, and move everything again. Do yourself a favor and run from this place and this company! read more

Brandy expedites every request I have made, even the last minute- help I need an additional unit!

I can't say enough kind things about this location and especially a lady named Helen. I've been under a lot of stress due to my condos increasing my rent by $570 with a choice of signing new lease or be out by Sept 3rd. I went to Public Storage on Harry Hines not knowing anything about leasing a storage unit. Helen showed me a unit and thoroughly explained everything answering ALL my questions. When in need of public storage facilites this is your place ... I had the privledge of working with two exceptional individuals both at seperate locations. A company is only as good as the people in which they employee. Allow me to say, "Wow, how lovely! A personal thank you to Melissa + Christy. Melissa @ the Lemmon Ave location undoubtedly was the most helpful, patient customer service rep (pardon, I am unsure of titles) that not only did she take my multiple calls BUT helped guide me to ensure that I choose the right storage unit size + the best location for my needs. Her sincere wish to aid others (myself) took the cake, just so LOVELY. Christy @ the Winsted Drive location carted me willingly through the facilities to review the various unit sizes (and in this Dallas heat too... Thank Heavens for Public Storages climate controlled units, which i opted for - all smiles), she personally showed me how to navigate the complex (where to park, how to properly access the unit) effortlessly orchestrated account setup, hauled boxes + did so superbly. Here with movers waiting for public storage to open. It's after opening hours and I am paying the movers hourly to wait outside for somebody to open up. Just because it says they open up at 9:30am doesn't mean they will be open. Getting closer to 1:30 PM and still no service.. read more

This was the worst storage facility I have ever used. The employees are extremely rude and very little help. They never have dollies available and when they do, we have to check them out from the rude staff, IF they decide to open the door that stays locked most of the time. I vacated the unit on 10/1 and was charged for an entire month on 10-1. I disputed the charge and 15 days later I was told they were keeping the money with no explanation. They refused to help me over the phones and would only communicate via email. Cowards that steal your money is what they are! Save your money and go to Uhaul instead. Oh, and rent will up the prices in a month or two after your first month. read more

I recently decided to rent a unit to store some left over furniture that I didn't have room for at my current house. As soon as I made my reservation online I promptly got a phone call from Crystal confirming my reservation. She was very polite and helpful and asked what time would be most convenient to come and sign papers and to show me vacant units. Upon arrival to the storage facility Crystal greeted me and showed me several different units and locations. I chose a close unit to an elevator and decided to go for it. The unit was very clean and well lit. Crystal made the whole process very easy for me and I was in and out within 30 minutes. I rented a storage unit here for several years and was stunned by the frequency and magnitude of price increases and billing problems. Once you're in, they know it will be a hassle to move so the price increases are frequent and add up massively - many times any reasonable inflation rate. Plus, I don't know where they get their employees but over the years they consistently have the surliest staff of almost any business I've seen... Ranging from condescending to indifferent to rude. And that giant dumpster? Forget about using it - even though it's located near the back of the property about 100 yards from the office, it's for "office use" only. I guess their office is a pretty trashy place. read more

It will cost you a dollar to get in. They will increase your rate. This is a hoax. They have a lot of fees. You can't make a payment without a fee unless you go to the store. Just awful. I'm giving no stars. When you call to complain no one will care. read more
