I purchased a 5X9 but instead I received a 2x9 and 3x2 because the locker was at the corner of the hallway and a 3x7 section was replaced with a wall. The brilliant Manager explained to me that the shape of the locker was due to the design of the building. read more

BLECK. So disgusting. Do NOT store your stuff at this location unless you want it to get absolutely DESTROYED. Rat pee & feces EVERYWHERE, On EVERYTHING. The front desk staff is really customer friendly. NOTE: the company requires your rental to have Insurance... $11 for $3000 of coverage which is the lowest tier... special form needed to utilize homeowner's insurance and don't forget a special lock ($20) is needed for these units... don't forget the administrative fee... so basically their unexpected costs really eat into the promo... so basically don't count on the promo to save any money here or at any of the locations. The 2 stars are only for the front desk staff. The company's hidden fees and promo are suspect. read more

Don't believe the $1 deal. It's only for smaller storage compartments. Over all Public storage doesn't care about any of their customers. Managers if you can find one walk around like they do so much. They do nothing but lie to customers and then over charge you. From what I hear their kind of abusive to workers there. But you know how it goes, say something and they your fired. But deal with one and you'll understand. I will be meeting with Nassau County's District attorney. Lazy and disrespectful to people. I saw it first hand today. But the people who work there and deal with the public are great. Managers are garbage. read more

I have rented with Public Storage at different locations on Long Island and none them have as pleasant as the people at this location. I was assisted by Rita and apparently I was her first rental. I never would have guessed. She was friendly, professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this location to anyone that has storage needs. read more

The staff is great, however; Hempstead site is robbing ppl, if you survey all other storages surrounding Hempstead they are wayyyyyy cheaper. It's because Hempstead is Black & Immigrants being displaced faster than other populations so it's more expensive. I don't drive and it's walking distance. I have a goddam small unit too. I've found mouse dropping on my belongings for $156 a month??? Don't use this one in Hempstead! read more

The people in this location have been friendly and helpful. Corporate policy cannot be changed but as an individual location, I feel safe and I know that I will have the support of the staff no matter what situation arises. The place is clean but not without issues, They do their best to combat it. Unfortunately they cannot police the people who rent or the items or vermin they bring in with them. All in all I have rented for about a year and have not had any issues with staff, safety or cleanliness. Just wish they had a place to dispose of light garbage. read more

The process was fine. Nothing to jump up and down about it. The sales person Odalis was very professional and nice. She is the only reason I went with this company in fact. I do not like surprises and I think they should disclose that they require you to purchase addt'l insurance from them from the start. The place was clean. Huge but there were some shady characters in there. I hope it will be safe if I have to go in there without a second. Other than those small things it was ok. read more

do not rent here. 0 customer service. they dont care about anything. we got hit with covid they called and said you are late u have to pay or we are going to auction your stuff. no other options. no we cant help no we dont care just pay us. i told them i was moving out on the 2nd of the month and they told me i still have to pay the full month thats crazy. i left messages for the district manager and the storage manager no one returned my calls. so i scheduled my move out online. the hell with this place. read more

Renting a storage room here was a breeze. Henry and his assistants were professional & knownledgable. Henry assisted my brother in law & I in making the right choice. I would highly reccommend this location. The only reason this review does not get 5 stars is the heat inside. It is advertised as air conditioned, however, only 1 floor has A/C, & of course, that comes at a premium. read more

I love the staff there. Very considerate towards your needs. Unfortunetly, I am not happy that I cannot make a payment online for this location. It is a big inconvenience when I don't have the time to run down there to pay in person or if you do it over the phone, there is a $100.00 surcharge. Also, I am experiencing a lot of rat droppings in all my stuff and there must be a leak, because all my stuff is damp or wet. When it is time to move, i know there is going to be a lot of damage and I just hope if that is the case, then whatever is damaged like my new mattresses and my son's new bedroom set, we will be reimbursed. I was not really happy with the location with it being on a very crowded street and next to a school but once I walked in and spoke to clintone and Caroline they where very helpful in letting me know prices and if and when I will rent. read more

They raise the rent every year on you. My bill started around 240 now its 361. They get you in with a cheap rate then raise the prices on you. read more
