THis is the worst facility ever. My dearest friend and her husband placed their personal items here after failing health and having to downsize their home. Their items were here for over 4 years. THE Orange Door INsurance is a complete scam. Public Storage solely owns this insurance. They have no surveilance on the hallways and got rid of security and someone picked the lock on my best friends unit and stole and ransacked their person belongings. The insurance would not do a thing because no forced entry was displayed, they dont cover unlawful entry under their insurance contracts..so they will not take responsiblitity if locks are picked. SCAM SCAM INSURANCE, PROBABLY AN INSIDE JOB! My poor friend lost her husband and is 89 and can barely hear and confined to a wheelchair. The son filed a claim on his mothesr behalf and they refuse to talk to him and help with the claim. The invesitigating officer said ever since they got rid of seccurity they are hit often. Even told a story about a man living in one of their units and robbing multiple units and they got lucky enough to catch him. Said they never catch them, but the one that was living there they actually caught. IT'S very sad taking advantage of a disabled woman who lost all her person belongings and paid over 4 years of insurance expenses, just to be told sorry we dont pay if the lock was picked. MULTIPLE BURGLARIES AT LONG BEACH PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY!!!!! I am one of the victims that has had their storage room broken into at the facility located at 1917 Long Beach Blvd. Take my advice and do not use any branch of Public Storage to store your items. They had multiple burglaries going on for months and neglected to contact their tenants to warn them that they may have been burglarized. The manager even admitted that she they didn't want to cause a panic, so instead they just let it keep happening. I didn't know I was burglarized for almost 2 months before I randomly went down there and discovered all of my items stolen. I still haven't received an apology for the theft. The district manager (her name is Christine) acted as if it wasn't a big deal when I spoke with her, very unprofessional and rude. If you don't believe me then you can contact the Long Beach Police Department and ask them of the recent crimes that have been happening (and covered up by management) at that facility. You've been warned. Just wanted to give a shoutout to this place for safely housing my craaaaap... you know, my surfboards, camping gear, art...all that good stuff. I gotta say, dealing with me isn't always a walk in the park, especially when I'm having one of those "losing my keys and panicking" days - which let's face it, happens more often than I'd like to admit! Adhd disabilities at its finest..m But let me tell you, Jocelyn at the front desk has been an absolute champ. She's seen me in full-on panic mode more times than I can count, and she's always there with a calming presence and a helping hand. I've been on the hunt for a spot to store my RV, and Jocelyn has been like a guardian angel, keeping me posted on available units and whatnot. I've watched her in action, making sure folks checking out dollies actually go through the proper channels and leave their IDs ... ain't nobody sneaking those off on her watch! She's thorough, she's on top of things, and I've never had a single issue under her watch. Came in to rent my storage unit Alex helped me he was great I had reserved the biggest size he showed me how to store my stuff turns out I was getting unit to big he got me good deal on the right size and showed me a good pack of boxes that had a mixture of boxes to get me started packing.
