We live on a narrow one-way street up a hill, and two different storage companies had already given up on us. One company actually showed up with the truck and container, took one look at the street, and decided they couldn't drop the pod and get the truck out without backing all the way down the hill. So they left. The second company had me send multiple photos and videos of the driveway and access point. I sent everything they asked for, waited... followed up... waited some more... and eventually forced them to tell me they weren't going to help either. We're in the middle of a home renovation and needed to get furniture and belongings out of the house so work could continue. I was honestly getting desperate and was *thisclose* to ordering one of those overpriced storage sheds online that would have been way too small. Then I found The Mobile Storage Guy on Yelp. What caught my eye was that they specifically mentioned handling tight spaces and difficult placements using robotic equipment. When I called, they didn't make it complicated, ask for endless photos, or seem daunted by the situation. They simply looked up our address and said they thought they could park the truck on the lower street and use the robot to drive the container up the hill. And that's exactly what they did. They showed up on time and used their robotic system to drive our 8x16 storage container all the way up the hill and onto our driveway. Esau handled the delivery, and he was fantastic. I had built this whole thing up in my head as a huge logistical ordeal, and he treated it like it was completely routine. He drove that robot with masterful skill and maneuvered the container into place with incredible precision. What really impressed me was how thoughtful he was about placement. He made sure it didn't block doors, kept plenty of clearance from the house, and even suggested a better position that will make loading the unit much easier for us. He clearly knows the equipment and technology inside and out and handled everything calmly, professionally, and with our best interests in mind. After two companies basically shrugged and walked away, it was such a relief to work with a team that actually solves problems with a can-do attitude. Call up the Moble Storage Guy, then rent a pod to be placed in front of your home, load it up with the items like clothes and housewares/kitchen items, plus dry food, ingestibles, spices/seasoning, medication, topical creams, etc. all into the pod. You load it in, get your home fumigated, remove the items out and bring 'em back into the house knowing the items were never exposed and saving you time and efforts to re-clean everything. Got a quote that was significantly better than PODS. When my storage unit arrived, Omar was a true professional maneuvering the unit and setting it up exactly how we wanted it. The unit itself was very big, clean, and sturdy. Couldn't believe how much I could fit in there. I had them store the unit for 3 months while I was moving.
