When we got to the location we met Sue at the front desk who patiently walked us through each stage of getting a unit. We ended up getting a 10 by 10 unit. she showed us all the security, elevator, exits and offered nothing but great advice with my move. Moving can be very stressful, but Sue made it very easy. I needed another urgent storage unit and went here due to the hours of access and other reasons. The store manager James Mallon...honestly, one of the most attentive sharp staff for customer service and help I have ever met. He actually cares and it is great to see that (esp these days) and the work ethic he applies at helping me and the customers of this facility. Because of him alone and one other employee there I would recommend this facility. I have a dif storage unit elsewhere for years now and the people that work there just don't care and are aloof. When I signed up I was told my fee wouldn't change and within 3 months my monthly bill went up by $100.00. The storage unit is run down and doesn't deserve $200 a month fees. Anyways, I was told the online prices are just to attract new customers and in a short period of time they increase the bill and give you no other options. read more

This is my first time using public storage. I researched everywhere, finally decided to use Extra Space. Great management, super clean facilities. This place is contaminated. Please be aware. My belongs got contaminated and restrained by some toxic fluid leaking from the ceiling. Everything including my baby's belongs got ruined. They refused to cooperate with me and I didn't pay 2 months in rent due to the fact they weren't helping with my insurance claim in this matter and they refused to knowledge the problem with the contamination. I'm sending the department of health there this week because this pace needs to be shut down. PLEASE REMOVE UR BELONGS FROM THERE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. It could cause your family major health problems. I lost a lot of items because I don't want to bring home anything from that place. It's contaminating mated by Biohazard chemicals. read more

Sue was very helpful and thoughtful, she patiently and thoroughly walked us through the premises, the security and everything else so that we felt comfortable and secure about storing our belongings at the premises. Do not do it, its a bait and switch. you sign up with the special monthly price (over $300) and within a few months you receive a note that they are giving you a 30 day notice that prices are going up due to competitor pricing and availability. I had actually just moved most of my belongings out of my unit in to a new apartment so I was planning on downsizing my unit and decided to look online for their number to call about doing so. Their website had my storage unit currently listed (10x20, first floor, inside climate control) listed for a heck of a lot less than what I am paying. I called and said I wanted to downsize and told them the internet special and also asked what the policy was with me cancelling the storage unit since I was paid up for a few more weeks. I obviously should have read the fine print about 30 day notices for price increases. I couldn't get an answer and had to wait for the manager to call me back for both questions. Manager called me back and said I do not get any credit back for lost time that I paid up until and he also said he wouldn't honor the promotional online price since I am not a new customer for a different unit. I said my sister (who also has her stuff stored in the unit) can just put it in her name now for the new one and he said no bc I can not move my stuff in to her unit. (They wouldn't even know). So I will be getting my stuff out tomorrow and moving it in to the storage place directly next store. Nice job with customer service and keeping your current customers happy. read more

****SCAM ALERT***** People here smile at you as they rip you off. First month free rent is what they advertise but when you go in "all of those units are rented". They offer another promotion 50% off your first month.... Sounds crappy compared to free but ok so you stay.... Then it's a $40 "administration fee" followed by a mandatory purchase of their insurance unless of course you have a copy of your home owners policy in your pocket. Rented because I was short on time but have contacted consumer affairs about their false advertising. FYI public storage down the road runs the same scam. Only nice thing here was the "free" usage of their truck. read more

This is my first review, ever!!! I am only in my first month of my rental but am already fan. First, customer service from 800 number down to this facility was extremely helpful as I had no clue about storage units. As I researched more after my initial calls, I learned each employee was very knowledgable. Second, they are very competitive with their pricing. Third, the space it self seems vey safe and clean. It is also easy to unload and maneuver your items thru the facility. read more

Clean, Well Maintained, and Excellent Customer Service!! Sue and John were always helpful and courteous, especially when my credit card number was hacked. They were a pleasure to deal with from the time I first walked in and rented a climate controlled space to when I left this week. I never had a problem and they communicated wonderfully when things like better insurance became available. The facility is well maintained and kept clean. I do not recall ever seeing trash left about inside or out. The multiple elevators and provided rolling cargo carts always worked and came in very handy. The storage space itself had solid walls and not chain link. The climate control was perfect,... never damp or too warm/cold. And again it was easily accessed with multiple doors/elevators/carts. The other customers were also pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend Sue, John, and Extra Space in East Northport. read more

Professional but slick. I felt baited with the price quoted which was a little bit lower than the competition in the area of east Northport. Everything was going along fine until they sit you down in front of the computer screen and then drop the line. "Your price will probably go up in about 5 months." Really why is that? Because I know some of your competition holds the price for two years . They told me that it is based on the demand in the market which to me means if they get more customers than they can accommodate my price will go up. That is fine if you want to do business this way just tell me upfront before we go thru all the administration work so I don't waste my time. I don't like surprises right when I am about to sign a deal with someone I am going to potentially be with a long time. It's called bait and switch, they think it is subtle but that is what it is.
