He charged me for insurance ($435.00 on a 30-day rental) and said we opted in when we ABSOLUTELY did not! I would stay away from this location if you are planning to use U-Haul for a rental in St. Louis. I know I most certainly won't be using them again.

I went from a mid $30 unit to just receiving a postcard trying to take it up to low $100 unit. I see I share the same testimonials as many others. Under the language of, market value and real estate prices. I remember when somebody tore down the garage door, it took them a mighty long time to fix that. That should have been the next day fix with the price increases on all the units. Now, before I'm ask to call in and speak to someone know this, I've called in and spoke someone a few times and they said they left messages for district-management. and I received some price breaks from Management saved me $5 maybe $10 but at the sacrifice of losing the insurance coverage to my unit.     I am writing this review after renting a storage unit for the last 6 months. I first want to…read moreprecedent that when I started my relationship with this facility, the man who moved me in was the friendliest and most helpful person. He fixed my door so it would slide better and provided an extensive tour. During move-in and move-out, one of the garage doors was broken, which was a significant inconvenience because it made it difficult to load the car from the most accessible access point. I had to carry heavy items through a tight space between the outside wall and fence, which ended up scratching some of my furniture. Second, my rent was increased by $30 without a direct notification. When I called customer service about this, they stated they notified me by mail that my rent was increasing. This was extremely annoying because the whole purpose of renting a storage unit was because I was moving and then traveling for the next 3 months. Therefore, I did not have a permanent address that I had regular access to. They had my phone number and email, which they communicated with me regularly. It felt very scammy that they "notified" me through the most likely form of communication that I would miss. Lastly, as I was closing my account, I tried to return my lock that they provided to me in the beginning. I was then informed that the lock is now mine, and no refunds exist. However, I explicitly remember the man who helped me move in stated that the lock was refundable and I could return it at the end of my time. Overall, working with this facility was frustrating. I felt there were more negative aspects than positive ones.

The delivery was delayed which then I had to reschedule movers and everything regarding my move. I'm not sure if it could be helped or not. Once the pod was delivered, however, everything else was easy. It was expensive but exactly what I needed for my move.

    My experience with PODS was extremely disappointing and demonstrated a complete lack of…read morecommunication and customer service. My POD was scheduled for delivery on a Saturday. Throughout the day, my delivery window continued to be pushed back. Around 4:00 p.m., near the end of the first delivery window, I called PODS and was assured that my container was the next stop on the driver's route. After waiting another two hours with no delivery and no update, I called back. This time, I spent more than an hour on the phone before finally reaching someone at the national call center. Only then was I informed that my POD would not be delivered because the driver decided to end their shift early. What is most frustrating is that PODS never contacted me to let me know the delivery would not happen. In fact, the online portal incorrectly showed that my POD had already been delivered. Had I not called, I would have had no idea what was happening. As a result of PODS' failure to communicate, I incurred multiple additional expenses and disruptions. I had to pay a fee to reschedule movers who were booked for Sunday, rearrange another moving appointment later in the week, coordinate with my tenant to extend use of her parking space for the container, and even change a flight to accommodate the delay, resulting in additional out-of-pocket costs. After all of this, PODS offered a credit of just $27.65. Delays can happen, and I understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of proactive communication and the amount of time I had to spend chasing down basic information. I wasted more than three hours on the phone that Saturday simply trying to find out where my container was and whether it would arrive. There are many companies offering similar moving and storage services. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage prospective customers to consider those alternatives. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered, and PODS showed little interest in taking responsibility for the inconvenience and costs their failure created.

    Service was an absolute nightmare. My family and I went to move our grandparents because it was…read moretheir first move in 45 years. They told us that they had hired movers who would handle the move itself. They were told they would have three men and two trucks come out to move them. The moving day comes and it is one 26 footer and two men. We weren't too excited about the misinformation but we thought it was fine so we showed the men all the areas we needed them to pack. Once we leave them to pack, they have my grandmother sign a different contract. (She has dementia so she wasn't sure what she was doing). Before they load even half the truck, they tell my grandmother that it will cost an extra $2400 because of bulky items (which they were informed about before this fiasco even started) and informed us that they could charge whatever they wanted because it was in the new contract. Well, even the other moving guy thought that my grandparents were being taken advantage of so he encouraged my grandmother to call Apex and try and sort the situation out. Apparently that was the wrong move because the mover who quoted the price started yelling at my grandmother that she was being unreasonable. My mother tried to explain to him that we were just unsure about the situation and wanted to ask Apex if there was a reason for a new contract when she had already signed a contract and agreed to a price. The situation just got worse and worse. Apex said that they could do whatever they wanted because they were subcontracted and the subcontracted man was angry with us to the point he was shaking his finger in my mothers face and screaming at her that she was the worst customer he has ever had because Apex had called him twice to see what was going on. We soon learn from Apex that the new contract said that the man could charge whatever he wanted for bulky items and since he hadn't filled in any prices, he could write in whatever he wanted after it was signed. We asked if he could just unpack the items and go. He said we would still need to pay for the whole service. We asked if he could avoid paying the extra $2400 by not filling the rest of the truck. He said that he wanted at least an extra $500. This man was so unpleasant that we thought we needed to call the police. We started recording him in hopes to deter him from doing anything to harm my mother and as proof in case we needed to call the police. With any question, he would just yell over us. If we wanted to see the contract, he would try and snatch it out of our hands. The entire experience ended with us asking when he would unload our stuff at the new location and him just saying that grandma said 6pm so it would cost extra, and he drove away. All in all, Apex was highly unhelpful and only helped my grandparents get swindle. I would also advise anyone against using Victor Moving LLC in Missouri. I would leave this same review for them but I couldn't find where to do it. Now, I have never posted a negative review about a place but when they take advantage of people who can't do anything about it, I have only one recommendation; Only choose Apex if you want contracts that have loose enough verbage to allow their subcontractors to swindle you and if you want someone to act like you're crazy for wanting it any other way.

We argued over my containers which had the measurements on them but they still said they were over that size (?). The guys who picked up the stuff were cool and worked hard so they deserved the tip but now I'm over 2 weeks past my delivery date, living on borrowed stuff and unhappy. As of yesterday there were no updates. Can I get my things please?
