Completed my rental online and reached at the location at 5 pm. No one was present at the property and my gate access code didn't work. The property manager didn't pick up and customer service couldn't fix my access and asked me to try next day. I had to pay extra to movers to move to a different location. I had better experiences at Milpitas - this location is the absolute worst. read more

We have been trying to get into our unit for the last two days. The code does not work for access, and we have tried reaching out to the property manager dozens of times without any response or call back. No-one on-site!! No-one checking messages and/or getting back to us! We use this for business and there are some project critical items we cannot access. This is a BIG problem! I highly recommend this location. TAMMY in the front office was amazing. I was so upset because I lost my keys to my storage and Tammy called within minutes after I left a voicemail. Upped rates after the 3rd month. Was out on the 29th After getting a phone call and confirming i would be out by 8pm, Got an email on the 2nd saying balance Due. Called and left a message. No call back. Was charged random $67 on the 12th of the month. Still not call back from office. read more

Left message in this location for more than 3 weeks no response! I called the customer service after 15 minutes on hold they hang up!

Pretty much your standard Public Storage place. The units and site are clean. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. A few areas of concern before you rent here though. They get you in with a teaser rate, but they will jack the rent up at will once you are in there for six months. I have had two increases the last year totally about $60 additional per month. I am looking for another storage place because of this. They are also not very forth coming when there are problems. Several units right near mine (Bldg B) were broken into one night. Guys jumped the fence, cut locks, and broke doors to steal from the units. There was no notice to the other renters. I would have expected an email or flyers letting me know to be vigilant. Maintenance can be slow. Lights in my building block were out for weeks. It took several calls and notes before I saw the lights fixed. Very spooky to be out there in the dark. By the way, the break-in above happened during the several weeks the lights were out. read more

Came here to find a place to hoard hubby's treasures while we're in the process of selling our house (Such a deal by the way - Be sure to check us out before it hits MLS) Signing on was completely easy - the site and units are clear, clean, secure. I could not believe the customer service - Last night I got there right before the office closed - Could not get our padlock to unlock. Even though the office had been closed for 10 minutes by then, "Cathy" took the time to come help unlock it, showed me how to make it easier next time ----- and voila! I had desperately needed access for that one small but critical thing in the far back under all hubby's "stuph". (whole 'nother story). Her kindness likely saved his life. Moving is a pain, but Jason at Public Storage always made sure I was taken care of. I have a storage unit in this facility, but ended up moving to San Francisco, didn't have a car, and lost the key to my unit. I called Jason and he helped me get the lock cut by filling out some paperwork at a nearby Public Storage in the city so that I wouldn't have to make the drive down. He called me back several times to keep me in the loop about the progress so I wouldn't have to keep checking back. He's a very friendly guy and keeps the place clean and secure. I have been here since 2008 and their staff is always friendly. In fact, I checked in 15 mins before closing on a Saturday and Jason Ridnour, a staff member, stayed after close to make sure I was checked in. The place is clean and has a gate, the elevator requires a code and the units are indoors. read more

The girl who helped us, I believe Jessica. Was awesome! She told us so much great information and helped us rent our storage unit. She helped us when we wanted to change the size of the original unit we wanted to look at. She was great and made our experience fun, easy and a breeze. Went out of her way to search and find me a new unit at with an excellent deal even though it wasn't even at her particular location she did the leg work to find it check on the details make sure it was to my likings. This place is awesome! We needed a short term storage since we are in the process of buying a house, and Public Storage made it so easy for us. We only paid $1 for the first month! Both girls I interacted with were SO nice, but the girl that helped me set everything was Breann and she was amazing. She even found a cheaper rent price for us from what we were quoted! The facility is clean and well kept, and I feel safe taking my things there. You have to buy renters insurance, but it's pretty cheap. We'll only have our stuff here for a couple of months, but I definitely recommend this place to anyone, whether it's short or long term. read more

Very disappointed in their customer service policy. Scheduled a checkout 2 weeks in advance but since my auto pay had already paid I received no pro-rated refund for 1/2 month. Cost me $100 and employees were indifferent. I would check out other storage units in the future. read more

The Duane Ave Public Storage in Sunnyvale has a broken elevator and I am not able to remove items from the second floor. It has been broken for a week now and everytime I call there, they do not know when it will be repaired.$#&! I am moving out of the storage unit by 11/30/18 and they will not discount my storage unit since I have to hire help to remove my things. Unhappy with my experience there read more

Not impressed. Pushy and rude. Our group has special circumstances which were approved by PS yet they persist to harasse me knowing that I'm not the appropriate party. They've been asked time and time again to honor the agreed upon the arrangements in effect, but yet have not done so. read more
