It's weird but I actually feel at home here! The facility is well keep, clean and well lit. I'm new to this keypad entry system so I appreciate how Mr. Tim helped by explaining how to use them. Keypads are clean and always work. Plenty of carts to use for loading and off loading, always clean. Parking is abundant and secure, you can see the security cameras! PS had an exit survey but it disappeared from their site where i wrote my feedback. Therefore, I'm writing my feedback here, if any prospective customer is looking . This smaller site with fewer units is clean. The sliding entrance/exit door and the two elevator doors are supposed to to pause upon sensing or touching an object or person. I'm reporting this was NOT so. The #2 elevator door slammed into my right arm and i had to struggle to push the elevator door open; after struggling to get my arm out of its tight grip, i got my arm out. Next time i saw the site manager in his office, i told him. His response was that the doors are designed to open whenever they sense an object. I told him they need not. My unit's roll-up door struggles to lift up, stalling a foot or so from the floor going up. Once up, it randomly slips down on its own and several times came down on my arms rather than staying up as it should be. I told the site. Manager this. He said the door should stay up. He came and saw for himself that once up, the door did slide down quickly of its own accord,hitting anything in its path. He lubricated the chain and said nothing's perfect and he said the upper manager who makes the decisions would not approve hiring someone to fix the falling door. I said this is a SAFETY issue and an injured person could sue for punitive damages. He said he could only do what he could and the management would not hire someone to fix it. He said things age and don't always work perfectly. I was talking about safety, not looks. I decided to leave this unsafe environment: the elevator doors close too fast for me to maneuver the resistant cart wheels in the narrow space in front of the elevators to get a cart into the elevator. When I loaded my car when moving out, the exit/entrance sliding door slammed shut on my right arm and I couldn't get it free. A fellow tennant saw the situation and with his two hands and strength worked several times on pulling the door apart. He finally succeeded and freed my arm. The site manager was in his office and I told him what just happened and if he looks at his security cameras he should see what happened. I told him i'm leaving the unit and giving it a negative safety report. He said if i did that "they" would deduct $150 from his paycheck. Why? The next day or day after the entrance/exit door had a technician working on it. The site manager said the old company was fired. And I had to PAY almost $200.00 in rent for this unsafe PS site! I should have hired a lawyer and sued for my injuries and for management ignoring safety issues. However, the place IS clean, free of debris and very little dust is on floors. But it is not run with safety issues reported by renters as a real concern. The "upper" management would prefer to ignore it unless the evidence is immediately visible. (When the elevator door crushed my right arm the first time and I told the site manager, I let him know he would find the evidence on the security video --if it had been working!) The management stated I would have to remove my items and put them in a different unit. The family member who originally rented the unit wants the change and had also requested this change. I needed urgently another certain size unit at PS Storage location 1955 Lafayette Street Santa Clara. CA 95050 where I have been renting a storage unit since 2014. Kolbie assisted me successfully through the reservation and renting processes. She was informative, professional and personable in taking me to the storage unit which was clean, well-aired odor-free to ensure I was a satisfied customer. Thank you Kolbie! However Do not use PS Storage's Auto Pat because it has a glitch... it found my bank it found my account And it charged my account $2.50 convenience fee and that was deducted from my account's monies it charged my account $105 and the monies were deducted from my account's monies J And Then PS storage Auto Pay SCC DTAC attempted to take without authorization more monies and my account declined another payment... there is a PS Storage AutoPay Tracer ID 2469216...SCC DTAC I spoke to District Manager Kevin S at 510 728-7400 Ext 3255 he asked that I have a US Banker to tell him I did not get a refund from PS Storage... I did my US Banker and I left Mr Kevin S a voice message ... on 10-3-2017 ... he has not returned my call Today 10-4-2017 I called PS Storage at 818 244-8080 left st 11:45 am a detailed voice mail for PS Storage Corporate President Mr. Joseph D Russel Jr I have not received any kind of answer from his office read more

I started to lend space since March, 2019 at this location and have been happy with their services and offerings. Today, I went there to get some stuff out of the storage. They let us borrow a cart to move the stuff for free, which is very helpful. But in order to ensure that the cart is returned, the cart key is given in exchange with your driver's license. This person by the name of "Cindy" took my license and gave me the key at around a little after 3:30pm. So far so good, when I came back in 20 minutes (just a shy of 10 minutes to 4pm), the office door was locked with an indication that she would be back by 4pm. So I waited and waited and waited. I thought she was gone out of the office for some errands. After 30 minutes, she showed up from the door behind her counter, claiming she had lunch. Well, she deserves lunch but I could not know if and when she might be back, taking my license as a hostage. If she was not available for until 4:30pm, say so and don't tell me she will be back by 4pm. I had no idea if she would ever come back. Without a license, I cannot drive. Or a fundamental question is this. Does this place allow an employee to take a break and close the office as she/he chooses? I thought during the business hours, customers can be serviced. If an employee takes off as she/he feels like it, they are not business hours in my book. Up to this point, my experience with them has been great and thus, I give 2 instead of 1. read more

I was at the public storage for few months and Tim who is the the manger has always been super helpful. He is very professional and courteous. I had some issues moving in and moving out and he went out of his way to resolve them and see that i was a satisfied customer. I have rented few storage units in nearby vicinity but most storage units try to pull you in with good deals and but once you are in you are stuck at the mercy of the staff to get anything done.
