I love this place, I seriously do. Its one of the cleanest storage units I've ever been to... but at this point, that is all its got going for them anymore. Well, that and the air control. My husband and I will be moving to Washington. After pricing moving vans, pods, and what not, I decided to tackle our storage and get rid of anything that was unnecessary pretty much. Talk about a time capsule. Some of our boxes have been closed for 5 years... goodness. Anyways, we showed up, 6:30 sharp and got to work. It was humid and had sprinkled outside so I'm going to assume the reason it felt warm inside was because of that because when we first moved our stuff in, walking into the building was like walking into a freezer. Maybe they've dropped the temp to save money, who knows. We get in, do what we need to do, no one bothered us so that was nice. We did notice they have termites though on the unit that sits across the hall from mine so that sends up a red flag for me as my husband and I have wood furniture in our unit, some of which is passed down from my great uncle. As we finish up around 1pm we head down to the office, 1 to go to the bathroom and to grab one of those flat carts so we could bring some stuff down to our car... the office was closed until 1:30 which means the bathrooms and carts are locked up. Seriously? I get it, you don't want things missing or destroyed, so fine make it to where the people have to use their gate code to get that kind of stuff. So now, not only do I have to literally drag the stuff to the end of the hall, down the elevator and to my car, I have to hold my pee while doing it. I'm no weakest link and these boxes were too heavy to carry so they had to be dragged, that was really annoying. Of course by the time my mom and I finished (she was the one helping me do all this) and went to head out the gate, of course they would be in the freaking office. Whatever, I cannot wait to no longer need a storage. I miss all our stuff read more

But, there is never anyone in the office when I arrive and the carts are locked up so you have to go to the office and ask for one. Then they have you leave your ID with them to get the cart. They say it's because people steel the carts. No one should have to wait 20 to 30 minutes just to get help at the desk. They should have two people working the desk. read more

I've had my stuff in this PS for about a year. I'm only writing this review, because I was looking into getting a new storage unit at a PS closer to my home...BUT after comparing my good experience here with the other YELP reviews for PS locations closer to my home, I'm scared to try another location!!! At my current PS location, I have never had a break-in, or a water leak; and the lady (onsite property manager/front desk) is always responsive. True, it's not as cheap as I'd like & you do have to press a few extra buttons to use the elevator, but the neighborhood appears safe, there are security cameras, and I've never seen any sketchy people lurking....sigh...I guess I'll continue my schlep to this PS!!! read more

Awesome prices, better staff. Francine helped us find our storage unit to fit our needs perfectly. If you were to choose public storage, I would recommend this location rather then other locations. Update.... After having almost a month of no access to our unit and finding out that they are raising the rates for no reason and no notice when we thought we were on a fixed lease for the unit. We come to find that they have done no additions and are asking for more money because they feel like it. read more

I'm giving this Public Storage 5 stars for quite a few reasons. My main one is that I called and visited Extra Space, Storage etc, and a bunch of other places in the area and Public storage had a young man that was the most helpful out of everyone I contacted. Everywhere else was either rude, talked to me like i was an idiot or the prices were not what fitted my needs. I came here I was able to get a great $1 special and a unit that fit perfectly for all my possessions. The gentleman worked with what I wanted and needed and didn't push me into something out of my price range. I was in and out and moving in! So far I've been happy and very comfortable with renting with them and I would definitely recommend them over any other rental storage establishments in the area. read more

I would never store another thing at this place. First of all after only a few months they raised my rate. As if that wasn't enough my unit was broken into just a few months later. It was a f full-size outdoor unit. The thieves broke in through the side wall after breaking into the unit next to me. The most disturbing thing and the reason I would never do business with public storage again is that they repaired the unit next to mine and never notified me that my unit had been broken into. Leaving broken pieces of drywall and open boxes all over my unit I didn't find out until the next time I needed to visit my storage. After I notified the police of the break-in they immediately said at this place is the absolute most unsafe location and they would highly advise I vacate immediately. Which I did within the month. I've notified the on-site managers and the telephone receptionist for the company and nobody seems to really care. That also includes the useless insurance policy that I was forced to buy. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place and the staff are horrible. It's always dirty and smells like urine. But that's not the big issue, I've rented here for about 2 years now and when I moved in i was told my the woman who i signed with that if whenever I needed to move out that i would have a 10 day grace period so that I didn't have to pay full months rent. Now after they've raised rent on me again I can no longer afford to use the unit, for which might I add I was not given proper notice for. No letter nothing. Today I went to pay my bill and saw an alarmingly higher rent. That was my notice. So I called to verify that I had my 10 day window and the ride woman who answered, told me they stopped doing that. She had no interest in helping the cause so I asked for someone higher. She then decided to tell me I'd hear the same thing. I did not ask her for what the next person would say I asked for the number. When I asked for it again and she said okayyy with major attitude. Now for some reason I've called both the boss and her back no one is answering. They should honor an old policy, if the tenant was there before it ended. This place is ridiculous never come here. Dont waste money on it. read more

Ok...one star because I HAD to...I wish they had a minus stars option! Following is a portion of the rental agreement... Do I need insurance for my storage unit? Can I purchase insurance online? For your benefit and protection, insurance for your stored items is required. A convenient and affordable way to get the insurance coverage you need is through the Orange Door Storage Insurance Program - a customized insurance policy created specifically for Public Storage customers. You can purchase this insurance online from the Storage Unit section of your online account or by visiting www.orangedoorstorageinsurance.com. Your renter's or homeowner's policy may also provide the coverage you need, so check with your insurance agent. It so happens that the unit they put me in, 10x20 drive up, leaked badly, and I lost 30% of my belongings...wedding album, first edition books signed by author, boxes collapsed and my Waterford and hand blown glass items were crushed, shoes, handbags, clothes, etc...all lost. When I tried to initiate a claim, I was told that I must supply receipts. What? For shoes nearly a year old? Cowboy boots with green mold on them...you get the idea...of course, I couldn't supply receipts, although I DID supply pictures of items...not enough for this insurance company! So, as I was in the middle of moving, I need to pick my battles...just move me to a different unit. Escrow is closing in two days...So, I moved next door. I MOVED, myself...then I was informed, I would need to remove the damaged items, and soggy cardboard, as the dumpster supplied was full!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Ok, as I said, I needed to pick my battles...just move on. Next months bill came due, and because I signed papers on the new unit IN OFFICE, my unit price increased by 61.00 per month. After much frustration, and tears, I was able to get my original contract price back...but never was my insurance claim approved...I asked to no longer pay 15.00 a month for insurance...that request was denied!! So, be very careful who you rent from!! These people are thieves!!! AND...fair warning...DO NOT let them take auto pay!! You will NEVER rid yourselves of them!! Ugh...ok, gotta go. Looking for a new storage place...any suggestions? read more

Hope this company goes down in ruins. Still haven't forgotten what happen 2yrs ago at this storage. My unit got broken into by a rogue employee and had my belongings stolen. This storage facility seems to think that having a LOUD, SCREECHING alarm system that goes off AFTER HOURS every time a renter goes in or out will make a difference. Well, the ONLY difference it makes is that it awakens neighbors and makes it virtually impossible to sleep though the night. They are less than responsive and have done NOTHING to address the problem. I would never give these jerks any business at all and urge anyone thinking about renting storage here to go elsewhere. Storage unit got broken into. The break in was not through the front door. It was though the drywall that they use in between units. It could have been the neighboring units people next door or an inside job. Then from the inside of my unit they got into the unit behind me. No one attempted to contact me in regards to the matter. Did a police report and didn't hear from anyone. This was in 2015. Value of damages was never recovered. read more

I had a storage at this location for 10 months. My storage unit was infested with moths. I had hundreds of dead moths on my belongings when I moved my stuff out. I also saw a cockroach in the hallway once. When I moved my stuff out there was a guy living in a unit next to mine. I told the guy at the front desk and he was aware of the homeless guy. Their is also a lady who works the front desk who thinks she's funny but is rude instead. She always has something rude to say. The last time I saw her was to pay my bill and she asked me how my storage was then asked "is it just like home?" as if I was a bum or something. FIRST MONTH'S RENT WAS INDEED $1 BUT THEY CHARGE YOU FOR INSURANCE WHICH IS AROUND $85. THEY MAKE IT SOUND LIKE A DEAL BUT IT'S JUST A CATCH. THE MORE VALUABLES YOU HAVE IN YOUR STORAGE THE HIGHER THE INSURANCE. WHEN I FIRST STARTED WITH PUBLIC STORAGE MY BILL WAS $100. A FEW MONTHS LATER THEY RAISED IT TO $115 WHICH THEY COMMONLY DO TO EVERYONE FROM WHAT I HEARD. read more

This will be the first review I've ever written. I always say I'm going to do it but I loose interest. So that being said... I've had units at 4 or 5 different public storage locations. And they're ok... But this location is by far the best! The manager, Francine, seriously went above and beyond to help me out. While I was in the office she was so amazing with everyone that came in. The phone was ringing off the hook and she never got overwhelmed, and remained focused and pleasant. There was a mistake in my account that another employee had caused. She had it fixed that day. She asks me how I'm doing and actually cares. It's not just the standard business greeting. My good deed is to let you in on this gem. I won't go to any other location again. That clean location and Francine are everything I want. read more

I returned from time to time as a customer to Public Storage because of the cleaningness and customer service. Unfortunately, our experience here was poor. My brother recently moved and needed some storage near his new place. Pocor customer service. Representative was rude, and upsold him a lock even though he had a lock. His storage is on the second floor, and the elevator does not work. Poor lighting. read more

These are the facts I moved in may of 2012 I put the required 2 locks which cannot be cut and I put everything I owned into the unit including personal paperwork-precious things like we all do..May 2013- My unit was robbed and the locks were still on ..I filled police report and I took pictures and I showed the Dist.Mgr How they got in. I lost my personal papers and many precious things - identity theft will be with me for years- IT IS the policy according to the contract..that YOU are responsible if YOU put something in the unit that you don't want stolen...They will not tell you if there have been break in on the property only if it is your unit. One camera at the front gate is not enough to stop a robbery inside the building BUT this is the way The company- Public Storage properties are operated. Advice- check with the local police First to find out how many reports of theft have occurred at the storage unit before you put your life inside. Make sure there is adequate security camera inside the units as well as outside. This is First hand information- I have the police report to prove it.. read more

Did some calling around to help a friend find a suitable storage facility and I'm happy to say that I'm recommending she use this one. Your representative was extremely professional, courteous, and she answered all of my dumb questions regarding unit sizes, rental terms, and insurance without skipping a beat. Sharon really knows her stuff! She even let me know there will be no need to purchase a lock before arrival and that my friend can get one right there on site. Too convenient!
